Looking great! So this was a local custom you were able to have made, I bet OGB can make these for people, as a customized version of the 14 mm female spiked L hook he is offering on his website...

I had this design idea too (without the spikes), before I went with this triple right angle bend facing other direction instead:

PXL-20210419-192225738.jpg
Yeah comparing mine to OG has me more convinced than ever the angles do most of the hard yards cooling, so yours must be smooooooth.
@Texus see post #9435 they are industrial and quoted trade prices rather than art type prices. Schott boro good quality glass. I'm sure they would ship OS.

Is a bb6 too short?

...I’m not sure what you’re asking.

The search engine here won’t take anything that’s 3 characters or less so BB9, BB6 and FW7 are all too short to search for without an external search engine.

If you’re asking whether the BB6 is too short to use in the Firewood 7 or not, I’m not sure but I think it probably is too short.

Dosing capsules would only hurt performance here, you want the herb to be in contact with the ceramic oven chamber, if you tried to add capsules you are just weakening the efficiency and extraction capabilities here...
Just re read earlier post by @Jason Mendoza who is using basket screens in his 7, wow...
I would have thought they would reduce performance. Maybe a dosing capsule, if it fit well and conducted efficiently might actually rock in this thing. It kicks arse every other way, why wouldn't it?
I find loading really easy and wouldn't bother and I hate aluminium ones anyway. But if you had the right size for a neat fit, just wait a little longer after the buzz...

If I'm not on the go, I use the baskets without the tops for ease of use. Keeps the chamber cleaner. The loading area is a nice large flat surface. I pour right in and sweep any flakes in w/ my finger/tool. This isn't mentioned anywhere that I've seen. Everything else I own has circular rims and rings so I use whole capsules then.

You can use these w/o the lids and with if you take out the screen or push it farther through.
POTV1, Fury Edge are the same I believe. The screen is the same type of material/perforation as the boundless tera. It is also used on tea filters. The hexagon/honeycomb shape.

fury edge - https://www.healthyrips.com/store/p82/FURY_EDGE_Dosing_Capsules.html
just for kicks - the coffee strainer with the same perforation as the 2 above - https://www.worldmarket.com/product...-coffee-filter.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=Search

You have to use these without the screen as they are taller. I really like the perforation on Focus Carta. Flowermate's perforation on the capsule is too small for good air flow. The caps for these DO NOT fit each other.

focus carta - https://www.planetofthevapes.com/products/focus-vape-convection-cart

The UNrimmed baskets sold by TM and Mistvape fit with the lid. The lid is too wide but the bottoms fit so snug that I don't have to remove them to dump AVB. The mistvape fits more snug as it is a hair larger. The lids don't fit each other. he below. You can keep the screen in and just not use the top (find this easier for cleanliness if not on the go.) You can also try to dimple the screen in the opposite direction to give more room for the lids.

FW7 in stock right now. Friday april 16, 7:13 AM est.

Who in the EU is looking for a FW? Mine are shipping soon and I will ship to you, at your cost plus any transaction fees I'd be out of pocket on. Here's a post office address you can use. I'm not in that city/state (don't want to give my self away to everybody) but it should be real close if not the same shipping cost. We can do the transaction on the classifieds for both of our protection. You get the quote and I'll add that to the cost of the FW. I'll have extra parts you can buy for retail too. Won't gouge you. Just cost plus what I'd be out of pocket for going thru the transaction. (paypal fees)

Post Office
108 SW 1ST ST PINETOPS, NC 27864-9998

I almost got thru checkout on that massive j hook but thought wait....how do you clean that bad boy??
I have the O'connel inception j hook and used it just the past 3 days. The vapor is so much cooler and easier to vape at the higher heat needed to medicate all the way. It's a dimpled cooling stem WITHIN the j hook. I never tasted the vapor until then!
hi
i am interest in a FW7. I am from europe. Do you still have it to sell ?

Just got it yesterday and only vaped like 3 bowls but surprisingly not in love with it yet. It almost has too small of a bowl and extracts too fast for my liking. I have presets set to 320 370 and 410. Thinking I might try 310 350 and 400 or maybe 320 360 400. I'm losing flavor fast with my current presets and by my 4th hit is tastes bitter with quality bud and a medium grind. I may have to try a coarse grind. Also any tips on loading? I have a funnel on the way but this thing is a bit cumbersome for some reason.

If extraction is too fast, lowering the temp settings should help.

If that’s not enough, try hitting it earlier and harder to make sure the edges of the bowl aren’t getting overcooked. Holding the button down too long without drawing or while drawing very slowly seems to cause overcooking around the edges and that hurts the taste.

If that does happen accidentally then stirring can help save the taste, but if you’ve stripped most of the terpenes out already that’s just a common effect of powerful vaporizers - especially conduction-heavy heaters. Lower temps can preserve flavor longer though.

Lately I’ve been mostly using a Chewy 2 grinder to grind directly into the bowl since its opening is just about the same size as the FW7’s bowl, but I’m not positive that its grind is ideal here so I may do some more experimenting on that front. It works pretty well though, and it’s easy.

I’ve also used little loading scoops or VapCaps, folded papers or even just poured straight out of a tube, but that can get messy if your flower’s sticky and all wants to come out in clumps.

I’m not a Firewood expert yet, but I hope that helps you start to get better results!

I was actually going to suggest trying a finer grind, more medium fine than coarse for sure, and don't load it more than 3/4 full, with a good tamp of course... And yeah keep lowering those temp settings, mine are set quite low at 310, 340, 370, since I like to stretch out the bowl to milk those low temp flavors and effects. Keep at it, good luck!

Oh and buy one of these for loading:

O'Connell is also doing 42% off his inception stems and hooks btw!

Also 10% off the whole store with “thanks10” I almost bought a noisy cricket (normally 110$) for 99$ but then I found it on creamvapecity for 25% off. It came to 82.50 with free shipping. You really can’t beat that.

@Spike11552 -- I'm a happy BB9 user -- it works great with the FW7 once you figure out how to plug the carb hole. It also helps quite a bit to cut down the glass adapter straw (Marc sells extras) so that you're using it in the retracted position. That way it won't be trying to collapse on you when you insert in the water pipe. For the carb hole I use silicone cut from the "bristles" of a grill mop to plug the hole (not sure if "grill mop" translates outside the USA but it looks like a paint brush with silicone "spaghetti" bristles). Others have used a piece from the neck of a balloon over the stem, a piece of foil to plug, or adding an extra piece of felt against the wood to block the hole. I use the BB9 that way once or twice a week when I want a heavy session and will be using a water piece after the first flavor hit. For daily micro dosing I stay mostly lower temps and go native with the Hula. It's a great vape to play around with different stems and set-ups. My "favorite" set-up changes from week to week...

Also, @Shit Snacks is on the money with the Rogue Wax Works scoop/tamp tool. It's a hefty high quality piece that feels like a bargain once you hold it in your hands. The tamp end is exactly the right size for the FW7 oven. Buy it.

I feel like I would pay to have someone else cut the little tubes for me, I think I will just email Marc and maybe ask if he can sell me some pre-cut down shorter... I think I do have one spare in my box, but I don't feel confident trying to cut it myself... I would love to not have my inception stem moving, or the other plain spiked O'Connell stem I got, but the current configuration is great with the stock setup hula stem which has really good cooling itself (and don't get me started on all the great wpa options again!)

I know right? And the scooper is also a perfect fit to load the chamber with the precise amount you desire... And this one is even walnut matching the FW7! Could also grab one of his little poker tools for emptying a bowl loose, I mean he may even include a free one with your order especially now...

@Shit Snacks - cutting the glass straw is actually quite easy to do if you already have a Dremel (small rotary tool) and a diamond cut-off wheel. Twirl the glass in your fingers (just like heating a DynaVap) while holding it under a dribble of water from the faucet. Cut slowly with very little pressure - it will cut more quickly and easily than you probably expect. Oh - and also plug the drain so you don’t lose your cut-off! If you have to buy the Dremel and cut-off wheel then I’m sure you’d come out ahead just paying Marc to cut one for you. I would think there’d be enough interest that he might consider offering a cut down adapter stem as a standard replacement part.

Glass dust is no joke-you are going to want to wear a mask if you do something like that. Just my 2 cents.

Anyone try the BB6 on there Firewood? Does that work or is it too short or do I need the BB9? I already have the original WPA from Firewood 7 on order and on the way, just thought I need this glass BBx from Dyna as I don't have one at home.

Maybe I'm overthinking this and don't need a BB9 or BB6. Help me guys, is it significantly that much better than the stock cooling stem from Marc?

@sirwalter -- in my experience the water bath was enough to mitigate dust when cutting glass, but wearing a mask to be extra careful is a really good idea! Good catch. Eye protection too of course, in case that actually has to be said.

@buckhakeesah -- pretty sure the BB6 is too short. The only advantage I see to using the BB9 over the Hula is to mate to a water pipe or allow you to switch between native and water pipe without changing stems or changing to the WPA. For purely native use the included Hula feels better on the lips and cools just as well as the BB9, in my opinion.

With the "skinny glass tube" cut to the right lenght to make the adapter, any stem should fit the FW (as long it's the right diameter of course).
With the BB9 i cut the included piece of "skinny glass tube" so i don't have to extand the stem to use the FW

Another alternative to cutting down the glass straw if you’re trying to keep the stem from retracting is to just cut a spacer out of tubing. The white round plastic tube of a “Bic Stic” ballpoint pen works well, can be cut easily, and you probably have one in the bottom of a desk drawer somewhere. The kind of brass or aluminum tubing usually sold for hobbies also works well.

It's so easy to do with a simple "glass tube cutter" like this one https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/aldrich/z150770?lang=fr&region=FR

Thank you all! Unfortunately I do not have a Dremel or any of these tools, nor do I feel comfortable acquiring or learning how to do any of this myself honestly lol (scared of the dust too) I agree it would be nice for Marc to offer the option so I will mention it to him at some point unless someone beats me to it!

Ok, thanks guys, that clears it all up for me now. I think I'll wait and see how I like everything before investing in more accessories.

Yeah the stock hula cooling stem is awesome, I can't imagine a BB-9 would be better at all, having to deal with carb would be annoying for me personally, and yeah I don't want the 14 mm tip mouthpiece, I'll use the WPA for that anyway... So yes once you get it, you may not want anything else!

I think I have 2 takers and I responded to your email as well. If anyone is curious, a flat rate usps box is ~$40usd. Insurance is an extra $7. We just need to find out what to expect insofaras customs fees and taxes which aren't determined until it gets there. Seems like we should be able to estimate it based on size, weight, contents. We can also determine paypal/cc fees (if any) once we know the rest of the pricing b/c they are a % of the price paid.

Hi guys, I'm also based in Europe and looking at the FW7. I'm looking for a quick hitter to use on the ski slopes. I would prefer not to worry about battery life so that's why the interchangeable batteries look so good on this device. Anyone has experience with this vape in cold weather?
