My new Vong is stuck! The wood sleeve no longer rotates. Rotated freely for a couple of days and is now locked up. Any suggestions?

All VERY impressive!! Thanks for the photo shares!
My 2021 Omni arrived Friday and it is the best DV I have for sure. The M is out for delivery. Vong is in 'label-created' land lol. 😂

Seems I'm not as crazy as I though.
I removed the condenser and tip that came with the omni. Surprisingly there was a groove to hold the ccd in the stem itself.
That’s very interesting. The groves seem to be associated with the tip O rings...but damn. You tried it right? How did it work out?

Just noticed this very tiny engraving on the ‘21M.
“2021 Dynavap, Made In USA”
It’s on my ‘20 too, just never noticed it.

thank you man.
can you test the new omni tip with an old cap?
Already done it! Only difference is that the early (2017/2018) caps are narrower and tighter fitting so heat up is 2 seconds quicker with a cold bowl and 1 second faster with a warm bowl. I get slightly bigger clouds with the new Omni compared to the 2017 Omni regardless of which cap I use and the cooling with the new condenser is superior to the Simrell, so much so that I sold my Stinger.

my simrell vortex cools way better than this new omni, sorry I have to disagree
maybe the stinger is a bit different, but my wood and Ti vortexs are still king in that department

I was very disappointed with the Stinger. I use my Omni with the condenser at max extension, and never feather the air port. You can't do that with the Stinger and when I tried it in my Omni and M's I wasn't getting the same performance and the cooling effect, to me, was minimal at best compared to the Omni condenser and imo it costs too much. I haven't tried a vortex so can't offer an opinion on it but I am glad they work for you.

I agree I love the new Omni it is greater than the old one but my vortex still cools a bit better, but the omni gives a different high love them both. Don't have a stinger but would like to buy one in the near future.

Do you prefer to use half bowl, and then fill it more often but vaping "fresher" weed, or the whole bowl?

For example, if you are "in the mood for 0.2g" would you prefer to fill two full bowls or four half bowls?

For the "stupid questions" series 🥴

No such thing as a stupid question dude, personally I go the full bowls as it takes less time for me to bake em. :spliff:

Damn that sucks! Contact dynavap and ask them to send you the functional product that you paid for.
I'm hearing more and more about these new vongs jamming. Dynavap needs to up their pre release testing game. :goon:

They might need to, but unfortunately wood isn’t the easiest material to understand and test. Hopefully they had it tested in different temperatures and humidity levels and understood the condition of the wood they were starting with, but I think there’s always going to be some amount of trouble with tightly fit wood/metal parts for at least some people.

I do hope and expect that they’re looking for ways to make it less of a problem that affects less people, but I think this is their first attempt to mix metal and wood in this way (o-rings holding the condenser in older vongs are a different thing and a lot easier to avoid problems with) so I think they’ll continue to get better at it.

If it is a real and continuing problem for anyone, I’m sure they’ll take care of us. :)

So do all the new vapcaps come with the captive cap as standard now?
all models in general?
Are they trying to make the Captive the new default Cap?

Wasn’t it already the default last year at least?

I think they probably see it as a safety feature and would rather have that be the default, but I do wish they would let people choose to swap the cap on any model in the shop for a non-captive cap as the order is placed.

I have my first captive caps coming with the new models so I can’t judge them yet, but obviously a lot of people here want a choice.

If they didn’t want to put that option in everyone’s face as something you have to choose, at least it could be a secondary product link or a preference in your account or something that would let people who care choose.

I thought I was the only one. I have the short vortex and I also found it tasted better.

I do like how the new tips perform which is whats holding me off from selling the vong and omni right now. I'm gonna give them a few more days of testing before I decide their fate. They do look pretty though.

Oh, and I like the captive cap.

I hate the captive cap whispy hit rattles to much, I immediately put on the standard cap amd it started to get denser vapor. I hope they will still sell it in the future or I will stock up.

kind of defeats the purpose of purchasing any of the 2021 lineup no?

I have one. I’m a fan. You might keep your eye on his MVS he is about to release. The adjustable airport on the new Simrell Ti body paired with the Stinger is sounding 👌. $150 for the early release. The adjustable airport seems like it will work in a similar fashion as the VonG but metal on metal instead of wood on metal. I’m liking the new airport on the VonG, so Simrell MVS is probably up my alley, but I still struggle to make sense of my Omnis adjustable airports? One more Dynavap and I’ll be good😂 swear.

Not at all I use the old cap on my 21 omni and the condenser actually cools the vapor, only difference between the caps is the hooks on it cuz ppl couldn't figure out how to squeeze the original cap to shape it. I'm sorry for being a little salty at the thought of losing the standard cap.

Will continue to add to my stock pile of standard caps this 420. I don't blame George, just the "ppl that couldn't figure out how to squeeze the original cap to shape it" as @Greenleaf88 stated above.

Yes. I started a chat on their website about the issue and was told to submit an email, which I did. We'll see what they say.

On a related note, the Azurium tip and cap was a nice surprise! I so happen to have an extra Omni XL condenser. Anyone have suggestions of a sharp looking stem that would go with the Azurium and condenser?
