That one. My bad if I'm off base here, Stu!
Thanks, snacks. I must've been sleeping on the job earlier. Don't tell my boss.

Looks like Dynavap is officially NOT a vaporizer (and it never was 🤫). The online shop now has TED or thermal extraction devices for sale. Maybe i didnt notice this before but i think that is new wording on their site. Smart move, hope they dodge the mail ban bullet.

On the DV site, what used to be “vaporizers” is now renamed “DEVICES (TEDS)” .....

Hmmmm... gotta extract my thermal extraction device & fire her up (actually, I do like
The look of the new XL Omni).

Are we, as a society doing an 180 turn and returning to the dark days of “evil weed”
Supression?

Or slight confusion over the terms vaporizers, and vape mods. For teens.

Not much of a DV guy at all, I kinda just pop in to stay kind of up to date with them, but damn...I feel like you need a they sat down and said "How many fancy scientific sounding words can we stick in one ad?"

Enhanced tactile navigation geometry? Seems to be the same concept of laces on a football. Just helps you know how its oriented without having to stare at it. Either that or it's just grippier so you can spin it easier? Pretty big stretch at a descriptive term there.
You can just hear George saying that and everyone around the table writing it down. We would call them bumps. He does have a way to make everything sound like it had a thesis done on it.
WTF is going on Dynavap?

I understand this is a request, but it comes across as a bit rich to me.

Nothing against you Josh, your just doing your job.

What are the mod's take on this?

Couldn't agree with you more @BabyFacedFinster
Yes that rebuke might be within rules but should have come from a mod, unless Josh is from DV legal? Was that a cease and desist?

because im the EU, i haven't really paid much attention to the vape mail ban, but today i browsed around and it looks like an extinction level event for the industry at large.

@DynaJosh seemingly the only vape i mean TED company doing well in the past year too, compared to the rest of the industry as well as many other sectors hit by the pandemic, i hope dynavap appreciates their fortunate status and doesn't raise prices too much for the new models in this environment.

sorry if this is tactless of me but i'm in a bit of a shock after noticing the desolation.

This issue hasn't made its way to the UK at the moment but I think I might bulk buy some standard caps just to be on the safe side.

i really don't think there's a reason to panic buy dynavap parts, especially in the UK/EU... and since they are seemingly not affected by the ban even in the US.
in fact the focus should be on bucket kicking companies/vapes ATM.

I'm more worried that the standard cap is going to be discontinued - the new Omni ships with the captive cap which I loathe.
considering the standard is just 1 machining operation shy of the captive, if there's demand i'm sure they will continue to sell those. but if you ask me there's no reason since you can just pinch the captive cap the other way and it becomes standard.

check this out tho vapefiend has some 18 shadows in stock apparently.

I tried this and it doesn't work well at all. If you have a set of vernier calipers measure the diameter of the captive cap and compare to a standard - all 3 of my captive caps have a larger diameter but this maybe because all of my standard caps are 3years old and far better quality compered to the captives.
I posted about the Shadow M offer about 10 pages back!

you are correct. the captive is slightly wider (but then again newer tips are too) and 18 caps are my fav as well.
i admit i only tried "reverse pinch" captive cap on the 20 and 19 SS tips and it seemed fine, but i can see how it wouldn't fit as neatly on older tips.

still ... there's no indication of dynavap suspending the standard cap is there?
i'm thinking 18 caps should last for many years (with correct use) and in the end they are listening to feedback so i'm pretty confident they will support older devices forever.

Did anyone get a preorder email yet. I thought mayne I missed it. I thought the last email said the 17th but nothing yet
I was expecting the same. They sent a newsletter saying you need to sign up for newsletters :\ and create a dynavap account by Wednesday the 17th at noon for exclusive access. I think we are waiting for the 21st now for preorders but im not 100% on that.

Quick note on the leaked images. I don't know what the deal with them is. The company asked me to remove them and I did so as a courtesy. Of course it's the internet and there's nothing stopping people from sharing them privately, etc. 3 more days and the company is ok with them being posted publicly.

Hoping for more great products and success for Dynavap. It feels like yesterday we were testing out the original.

@Stu you're on thin ice.

Just a thought and sorry if this has already heen discussed and dismissed.

There was some sort of emphasis on "big" or large or something in a previous DV newsletter. Remember? Well... What if the new tip is hollowed out deeper resulting in a larger bowl?

The "fin" area on the new tip appears way different. What if the bottom of the bowl where the screen sits was about 2-3 millimeters deeper? The effect on the loss of thermal mass could be offset by having more mass in the area that was previously just fins.

Not trying to derail the current vibe regarding @DynaJosh's out of touch, post just wondering what other "improvements" there are.

And, for the record, they REALLY dropped the ball on that dumb ass post. Really? THAT was your first post? You're welcome to be here and we love having you and all that. But, dude. That was a dumb ass first post. If there's not a second post soon that doesn't start with "sorry" then why bother really?

Check out the pics linked here. Could be wrong but I don't think the oven space extends any deeper than normal? BIG probably alluded to the significant updates to all devices.

That would be really awesome if the new design allows for a larger bowl.

Personally i love a good leak and think it adds to the excitment of a new device's release. I really don't understand why everyone is so triggered by the post by @DynaJosh. Nothing about his request came off disrespectful to me. I think we should give him a break and move on. I would like to have him or anyone at Dynavap engauge more on this forum and feel open to do so.
