mine too, but before i do any mod, i would like to know what happened to the guy who made cases out of wood ? (a few pages back)
The project is still alive! It took longer than I hoped but now I should have everything I need to start the first few sales. During the time it took I worked hard to refine the model and solve some problems that made it difficult to use. I have had the opportunity to buy new equipment which now allows me to work reliably, this has been a big problem in the past which has almost led me to give up on making wooden cases for others. But now I am happy to have carried out the project and satisfied with the result. Among the improvements introduced is the addition of metal inserts for the screws and reinforcements on all the weakest parts, thus adapting a design born for plastic to the new material. Along with the housing for the Mighty will be included a wooden base that adds stability useful on certain occasions and a kind of wooden box. I leave you some photos I hope you like them. I wish you a good day!

From that video posted to their YT 2 months ago which ,near the end, mentions a Mighty+,
First David Manner (Deputy managing director) mentions having new products in the pipeline,
"Not only product updates but also new products which will be introduced".
And then Mr. Bickel says:
ap-Vz-Jnm-d.png

"Right now, we're working on the MIGHTY+ which will be released soon, again, another great product with great improvements, improved heat up times and other advantages, which should cater to most of everyone's needs, we'll see. I'm sure we'll be able to think of a few more things."

First time I've watched that full video today, boy they've had some funny times, it's amazing what they've done.
I saw Vape Critic Bud left a really nice comment on the video too.
Here's the vid and the part I referenced starts at around 32:56,

dimmusp,
I submerged my mighty in water for about 2-3 seconds yesterday when I dropped it in the bathtub. After opening it up, drying it and cleaning the insides with a cottonswab and contact cleaner, it was working perfectly. As of today it’ll charge ‘normally’ displaying the usual sequence. As soon as it’s unplugged it’ll display the flashing empty battery icon. I’m hoping it’s the battery that’s spent/damaged from short and not the circuitry/sensor that regulates the battery level. I’ll order the batteries and try that first.
That wooden case looks fresh, please let me know when you start selling those. I’d be interested in buying one.

I'm faced with a huge decision, after Mighty bit the dust the other day. Never coming back; the case is in several pieces and even though I thought I might reassemble and hold it together with some baling wire wrapped around the outside, in the process somehow I must have shorted something on the board 'cause it is a goner, that's all she wrote, case closed, this parrot has expired.

I spent several days wondering whether to replace it. During my years with Crafty/ Mighty the rest of the collection has grown nicely and I have a somewhat strained wallet lately.

The hardest part is not having a vape that wife and I can share as a leisurely, mindless session vape (at home or in the car, etc.). Six other terrific portables in the house but none of them suit that purpose.
Wife and I have shared this sacrament for going on 50 years, btw.

I narrowed it down to getting a Mighty or Crafty+. For about a day. What the heck, it took me burning through 4 Crafty's to finally land with Mighty and what a world of difference that made!

Okay, next hurdle is whether to wait for Mighty+. I sure wish S&B could give some inkling of changes we'll see. As far as that goes, I do see improved area around the bowl with Crafty+, no more "railings", it is now solid which has got to be a good thing. I'm willing to assume that if they have changed the formula for the PEET case to strengthen (as some have guessed about Crafty+) they would naturally have done that for og Mighty, as one of its incremental improvements. Likewise with batteries (the "20% more").

But as for actual user features, we don't know enough to compare og Mighty to Mighty+. I feel that S&B is being unfair in this regard, having taken so long to roll this product out.

So, I've decided to go with the sure thing at a sale price, an og Mighty, and all the goodies packed in with it that will cost extra for a +. I'm feeling shocked that it took this much angst to settle it.
My kids may inherit vapes rather than a house, but... wtf.

...which is precisely why you did the right thing: easy to use, always works. I have no idea what the '+' will feature (probably faster heat-up, better battery), but if they overreach (i.e. add an app), I think it'll be a mistake. if my (5 y.o.) mighty died tomorrow, I'd order another one in a heartbeat.

Not just yet unfortunately. If it doesn't come by 4/20 it's like we'll see weed legalized everywhere first!
Maybe supply, and demand, would be such that they would need to wait till after Covid restrictions to make everyone happy?

Haha, it was fun reading through that process, and understandable!
I tried to press them before on how the new Crafty+ housing material is improved, or in what way.
But they either didn't fully understand or pretended not to, as their answer was simply, "improved as in better"!
That means we can't really say if it's that new solid bowl edge design, a different PEEK formula they've used on Crafty+, or a combination of both.
The Crafty+ is out nearly 1.5 years and nobody, myself included, mentioned or suffered cracking yet so that seems good.
Also, the 20% extra battery addition we saw on Mighty and Crafty a few years back is not really the same thing as what they've done with the Crafty+ power circuitry now.
That 20% extra seemed to add more sessions per charge, but this new rework has the Crafty+ heating up faster (68 seconds to 180c) than a 20% extra battery Mighty that was even plugged in. We could expect a heat up of under 1 minute from a Mighy+.
The newly thought out housing is bound to feature on Mighty+, and we know it will have improved heat up times (as they've said that part).
I assume it will also have the top of the stainless cartridge heater poking through the bowl base for a slightly more aggressive vaporisation and extra clouds from the start.
There is also the possibility of more airflow.
Bluetooth won't bother me, even if they ditch the screen because i never seem to change my settings but the screen seems to be a big thing for some.
I'm not in a big rush to get one either because my Crafty+ is very capable of what I need.
I do agree with ya, the og Mighty is a really great vape. As is the Crafty+, and even an og Crafty is pretty powerful! I loved my og models and only sold them to go +!
Many happy years with your new vape!

This guy reaches 180F/356C is about 1 minute 12 sec. with a freshly purchased Mighty.
His comp to Crafty+ shows them reaching (presumably max) temp both at same time, a bit over 90 sec.
Thanks, @blackstone, especially the part about 20% more battery vs improved circuitry/firmware. I also take your word for it about the heat up times.
And I have no doubt C+ may be a slightly harder hitter, though I've seen folks argue it both ways. Mighty rings the bell for my 70 yr old lungs just fine.
Now that I've pulled the trigger on an order, I realize that there's no way I could wait some indefinite length of time for a M+, regardless of anticipated improvements (or possible "overreach"!).

New Mighty arrived yesterday, very exciting. The finish on the plastic is slightly less glossy that the almost-5-yr old it replaces (which is not very glossy to begin with). We've enjoyed 10 caps(see EDIT) and it still has 2 bars showing.
[EDIT; Mistaken about the 2 bars left, 10 caps was the limit, as it would not do #11 this morning. Still I see 20% more than when old Mighty was new, it could do 8 caps.]
I note that the slider decal is not "logo", but the old "Mighty". I have to think that PIU moves enough of these to keep relatively fresh stock. Not concerned.
PIU really took care of me! At my request they swapped some of their proposed freebies for accessories I liked. All is shown in the photo. For sale price $279, it of course came with all those S&B goodies, grinder, filling tool, etc.

But the PIU bonus stuff was super!
A Mighty/Crafty in-line bubbler attachment (used it dry; nice, open draw!)
A glass stem (seems a little bulky, and seems shaky the way it inserts)
Mighty stand (yes!)
Delta3d V3 wpa (this is even beyond what I requested, though I already have one!)

And, to document to way previous Mighty proceeded to Valhalla;
note that the center has become dislodged, as well as casing separation. Surgery lasted for hours but in the end, the circuits just gave out. rip, old friend!
Actually, I'm gonna save it for parts; ya never know...

Hey all, I’ve managed to fix my water damaged mighty with contact cleaner and cotton swabs. I damaged one of the locking clips in process. I just dropped it and one of the hinges/clips gave up entirely it seems. Is there anywhere one can buy the plastic mould only?

Edit: first day of use after I cleaned the mighty with contact cleaner, it worked perfectly. One day later the batteries no longer seem to hold charge. The Mighty now won’t heat up at all when disconnected from the charger. I’ve read somewhere someone wanted to converty a mighty to a desktop vape. If anyone knows who I’m referring let them know I’m willing to help them experiment.

maybe new batteries will help?

Theyre arriving on Monday :D
I just installed the two new cells. The heating chamber now heats up when disconnected. The battery level indicator still indicates no/insufficient charge (flashing battery silhouette). Does anyone know a thing or two about the motherboard/PCB I’m wondering if anything can be done to the faulty battery level indicator? I’d like to determine wether it’s the LCD or battery level sensor.
DISCLAIMER:
I’m not an avid electro-technician, I just like to tamper. Doing the following may not be healthy for the computer.
For the guy who wants to do desktop vape modification;
It was working on mains as long as there are two cells installed. I imagine the Mighty might work if you were to remove the cells ,if you short the both sets of battery cables without the cells (don’t short the cells themselves!) and connect it to the mains.

I was the one who mentioned interest in converting, but I've let go of that after Mighty developed multiple additional problems. Thank you. Bought a new one recently.
Here is my un-corroborated suggestion about battery indicator;
Have you tried running the batteries all the way to empty, then recharging fully? Run them all the way down until it powers off (not from auto-off, but from low power). Then power on again and run til it dies again, repeat a couple of times until no mas. Then charge for a good long time. Hey, it can't hurt anything and you can get pretty buzzed in trying. I did a process like this after replacing my batteries.

Hey, does anyone know if current Mighty shows manufacture date anywhere?

i'm almost sure the wrong battery level is caused by a bad IC.
you would need to read all ic's id- numbers on the pcb, and check the data sheets if they are "battery charging/monitoring -related" and if so replace it.
i would give you the "specifics", but mine is glued together. (caused by a broken tab when i replaced batteries.

Hey,
I’m trying what you’ve suggested right now. I think I’ll have to resort to replacing the IC. The Mighty turns on and powers up the heating element all the while, flashing the low-battery indicator, halfway through heating up something occurs causing the Mighty to believe the batteries are dead and it turns off.
I just damaged one of the thinner battery leads that I’m guessing are there to detect battery failure/fire? Can anyone tell me or confirm what these are for? I’m referring to the black cables connected to each battery cell (Not the +/- cables).
