Hmm I have not yet tried with mine, but presumed it was possible per the manual? (that pattern to activate it sounds tough though lol)

The manual only mentions the silent mode, but not an actual stealth mode.

I don't really mind, though. It's true, the LED is quite bright, but when using it or when it's sitting on the table, I actually have to look at it at a certain angle to see the light being reflected by the stem. Doesn't bother me at all.

Yes that is true! On table, in hand up right in use, it is only a positive feature, notifiable enough to be useful, only negative in the ways I mentioned. There always trade offs ofcourse, but this is my most reached for vape among very many other high end ones I also enjoy very much...

Same here, still enjoy using it *a lot*. I actually didn't even plan to use it myself that much, I got it mainly to share it with others. But I find myself reaching for it more and more every day.

i was actually really looking forward to this comparison. i am fond of my mighty, however ill suited it is to my kind of use (could never finish a bowl or even a dosing capsule by myself in one sitting), but i like how reliably it always produces pretty decent vapour, and is - for me - usually the standard by which i measure other vapes. it was also my first vape, so there is some emotional attachment too. the mighty will probably be relegated to travel with friends (perfect for passing over to non-vapers) or the odd time i want to aim for a particular temperature.
re stealthmode: personally id feel better if it was optional to turn the led off. the tm is not here yet of course, so i cannot say how much i really want it off, and i am sure it gives some useful info. but i am really not a fan of coloured leds, at least when i have no control over them. i dont think i would ever really *need* a stealth mode in order to be stealthy (but i can see how that would be useful to have), just a (strong) preference.
i am pretty stupid when it comes to electronics but maybe the stealth mode could be addressed in a firmware update? and i am confused @RelaxedNow successfully sent his device into stealth? i hope i can soon investigate myself. i cannot wait.

This bugs me for some time so i will address it : Please stop calling the guy Lainaus - it means Quote in Finnish :))...
Sry i cannot be of help to your issue though .
Not happening brah, his name is Lainaus and that is how he signs his emails. Given that is his name that is what I will call him.

Made my day so nicely. :-)
See above player.

"About the LED, well if you don't want to see it, I would assume a masking tape would do the trick.. it's after all a very small opening, 1.5mm diameter to be exact. so anything with this size could be used to block the light coming out of the hole.. but in the software, no there are no options to turn the LED off, sorry. is it too bright?"
The following is the response I received from Lainaus the maker of the TM:
"About the LED light, it is quite an interesting question and no, there
is no way in the current firmware to disable the light. It was chosen
to have the stealth mode for disabling the vibration to prevent sounds
coming from the device but i can see how the light could also bother.

So, to answer your question, there is no way to temporarily turn off
the flashing led, but if you want I can adjust the stealth feature for
your device if you decide to send it for an update, so that you could
turn the LED off. it just becomes difficult to know what it is doing
without any signals, so would you still like to have the vibration
feature there?"

Fuck, should have tested it before giving out that info.
mmhmm

No, it's not. It's what his mail client automatically writes after his mail before *quoting* your mail. :-)

Seriously? It's past midnight in Finland, let him sleep and use google instead...

Ok, so my memory sucks. Yes, it turns out that stealth doesn’t turn off the LED. I guess it was the haptic I was missing. What a dumb fuck!

Aaah, okay. :-) Now the only thing missing is why @khelek41girls device has a stealth feature.

Ah that is awesome that he is offering to reprogram, I definitely feel it should be the opposite like he suggests, keeping the vibration but turning off the light. Vibration is enough to know what you're doing for sure, I think that should be standard, but I guess some may want to disable that too... to me, stealth = no led

I work with people all around the globe and have been witness to too many fopaux as a result of people thinking Google Translate would help. He may respond in his own time, I'm not in any hurry.

Google translate alone may not help you. But in this case it adds to the fact that what you misunderstand as a signature actually precedes your mail. Take a good look, it probably looks like this:

Code:
Lainaus YourName <youraddress@someprovider.com>:

Makes sense, thanks!

Edit: And Thanks for taking the time to explain this, I've read every post in this thread and I believe this is a first complete description of why we may be led to believe otherwise. Big Up!

Hi the FC team!

am new to this forum, this is my first message ... I will probably use Google translate regularly ... sorry in advance for any approximations!

So I read this thread entirely and fairly regularly before I start ... and order a Tinymight on 01/27 ... thank you to everyone who shared their experience !!
the manufacturer had written to me that he thought that the waiting list would be eliminated at the end of February ... I hope he managed to keep up his pace !!!

to finance my purchase I sold my grasshopper and I find myself without a vaporizer ... the wait is all the more painful ... I am eyeing the dynavap (I have owned one) and the induction heaters. .. just to hold on and plan my future purchases!

in short, again thank you to those who feed this thread and I hope to make you my return soon !!

(ah and an off-topic question ... what does "VAS" mean ... ?? Google translate don't understand ... I imagine it's "a compulsive urge to buy a vaporizer or accessories from vape ... and "OMI"? thanks in advance!)

good vape!

I bet he finds it funny ,too :).. The main meaning of the word is borrow , quote/quotating is second at least in the vocabulary i got.

Sorry @Abysmal Vapor, until @Siebter responded with the above detail, I truly thought that's how the guy was signing his emails and you really had not shown me any information to lead me to believe differently.

I agree 100%. I am much more interested in a "stealth mode" that turns off the LED and leaves the haptic feedback intact.

I am just catching up after a day or two "away". The screen I am currently using is an RBT soft rimmed basket screen. It works great!

If someone comes out with an "all-glass" cooling stem I guess I would drop the metal basket for all-glass.

Show me one all glass path with no screens in the bowl that will keep the bits from going through into your rig/mouth?

This is what you give up if not using a screen in the stem. You will have to use larger chunks or whole buds to make it work well. Or deal with lots of stuff getting through what ever type of glass screen/glass holes in the load area.

The all glass bowls for the Elev8r and Flowerpots for example....suck lol What little you get from taking out the screen.....comes back 2 fold with stuff getting through any type of non screen bowl/stem.

Yeah I even tried a whole nug in that grav lab taster stem with the glass screen and got some bits through lol I only took a few hits, then flip the nug for a few more, broke it up and then used my normal setup to get more out of it.

I was surprised to find out the screen is not actually a glass honeycomb, but more of a ratchet spoke gear, slits surrounding glass disc, still kind of cool and still kind of works. But the bowl is very large and yeah even with a coarse grind hard to not get bits coming through...

I will say that it works and the vapor can be quite tasty, but it can also be harsher with more plant material coming through to irritate your lungs and throat... plus yeah you don't have the cooling unit or even j hook or d tube like I'm mostly using with backwards Milaana stem / Delta3D screen.

I ordered two of these, but so far it's not the best experience for me, thinking someday maybe I will find a glass worker who can at least turn it into a bent stem... That would help with the cooling and catching more plant material?

Anyway it's still pretty awesome that they fit, even if they're not as ideal as I was hoping!

Exactly what I thought just looking at this stem ...
I just want a straight stem with dimples 80cm long and with glass screen
