how long untill I will have to change my CCD ?
I clean my Vapcaps once a month. I remove the screens so I can replace the hemp filter. If you don't use a filter you can clean the tip with the screen in place.

I have never had to replace a CCD screen with a new one. I did have to replace the old ceramic screens because they broke easily.

Will you recommend hemp fiber to use with omni ?
I use a degummed hemp fiber filter between two CCD screens with all my Vapcaps. If you do this you will experience the smoothest coolest non irritating vapor ever. Recommended!

Is the wood from the dynastash gonna smell if I use it to store my vapcap ?
I find that the Dynastash do not smell.

What's the difference between the small and large dynastash ?
Both the Dynastash and Dynastash XL store one Vapcap and has a stash compartment for your herb. The newer stashes also have a hole drilled for a small tool, which is not included.

The regular Dynastash is long enough for 3.5 inch long Vapcaps that have a regular length condenser. The models that fit are the Vapcap OG, Ti Woody, Ti Woody S and the Omnivap. As well, a Vapcap with any VonG body or stem that is 14mm wide will fit.

The Dynastash XL accommodates the longer Vapcaps. The longer Vapcaps are 4.25 inches long and use the XL condenser. The models are the Ti Woody XLS, the Ti VonG XLS and the Omnivap XL, which is a custom request.

Place for 2 VC in the big one ?
If you want a Dynastash to store two vapcaps, you can order a custom stash. Request a Dynastash G2 (stands for two garages).

feel like I've found a new way of smoking for the rest of my smoking time.
I don't recommend using the Vapcap for smoking. You can combust if you heat the cap past the click, but vaporizing your herb is a much nicerer experience. And it's healthier!

I would be happier with the Nona if 2 things were the case. If it fit in my Dynastash which it doesn't and the original 14mm VonG did. Also it doesn't seal 100% in my glass.
I would definitely get hold of George @VapCap or Matt. They WILL make it right. The NonaVonG is meant to be used with water and should create a good seal. It is also meant to fit into the Dynastash. In fact George demonstrated this in his last video.

I'll trade you. Just kidding. I like my vong.
If you want to keep it, I'll tell you how to make it work for you.
Most glass, except expensive, leaks slightly due to the fact that the wood being lathed is perfectly round. The glass being molded, blown, however is molten when released to cool, so it is not always perfectly round, (my vong leaks slightly with my "Orbiter").
Solution, Hookah Grommets. Small silicone cone gaskets for use in hookah hose joints. It works for me.

Slightly disappointed with my Nona VonG that I didn't actually order. Probably more than anything that's why I'm annoyed. I feel like if you think your buying one that looks and works a certain way and they swap it for something that looks and works a bit differently you should at least be informed before the shipment. I'm uncertain if I should complain. I like Dynavap and there products and I'm sure there intentions were good regardless. What would you guys do? I'm torn.

The problem being is it has 2 extra long flat sides. One of the flat sides is the one with the company logo. They extend below the frosted glass and you get some air leakage between the 2 surfaces. Its not a lot to be fair. If I had to guess I would say there is about 3-5% leakage. Its definitely usable for the application for sure. More like a little carb action but still I would be happier of course if it was 100% sealed and I believe the OG VonG that I had originally put in my cart would have had that 100% seal. In fact when I had first seen the Nona my first concern was how well is this going to seal. Not perfectly it turns out. I'm also really disappointed it doesn't work in my MFLB orbiter. I do not know if the original would have or not however. With Nona it has to go to far in to seal to work. The showerhead-style down-stem just barely makes it so you can't go down far enough. Once again to be fair the original may not have worked with it either. I have no idea without having one to test.
What do you guys think I should do? Shut up and deal with it or get with Matt and George and express my concerns. Let me know I need some opinions which you guys have plenty of good ones. Thanks in advance.
Part of the reason why the VonG might not fit perfectly is because wood has varying hardness depending on the direction of the grain. When you cut into wood with a lathe it's perfectly round, but as soon as you sand it the wood starts to become an oval shape. I've run into this issue when I'm making my VonG stems and it's hard to work around. I've used better grain orientation and laminates to help with sealing but it's never going to be perfect unless I leave the stem rough machined. I'm thinking of offering o-rings on the body that will take any guess work out of VonGs.

If you're not happy with the Nona VonG then talk to George @VapCap, Matt, or @Arielle.Dynavap. I can understand your frustration on receiving a different product than you ordered.

I've found it's the other way around. The wood is usually oval shaped and the glass is perfectly round. The glass joint is ground to shape, where the wood is sanded.

It depends which old one. I have a V1, a V3, and a V4 (newest). There is a huge difference between the V1 and the V3. I believe the V2 is also very different from the V3. The V3 was only out for a short period last fall before they upgraded to the V4.

Both the V3 and V4 have a lot more airflow through the tips. The V4 has a bit more airflow than the V3. If you have a V1 or V2 you will notice a huge improvement. If you have a V3 you will notice an improvement, but it won't be as mind blowing.
Now im not sure if my tip is v2 or v3 as i thought there were only 3vs Oo.

Just went and double checked and no way its going in the stash and if you managed to jam it in either A its not coming out without tools or B the stash will crack under the pressure. No question about it.

At least yours will work in the orbiter. This Nona I have will not even seat in my orbiter at all.

The o-ring is a great idea and one I will be exploring shortly. I have just written Matt about my issue. Explaining my concerns and asking if I can send the Nona back and trade for the one I actually ordered. I await his response that I expect to get on Monday. I will let you guys know how they rectify the situation.

The V3 has pretty deep grooves. This is the V2:

The V3 has much deeper grooves, and the tip is drilled out at the end of the grooves. looking at the end is the easiest way to tell the difference. The V2 is a perfect circle, whereas the V3 has the three recessions.

@Kasish, just re-reading this and you beat me to it.
Left to right, a glass bowl I played with the idea of, then 1 to 4.
o3IRtVW.jpg

@Farid there is no reason not to have a carb in anything I make other than the Segmented ones.

@Jethro a quick reminder of what turned out to be a challenging video to do. 4th heat cycle with a couple more in it.
Great stem to session with. Not something I use everyday but last time I did a couple of cycles and set it to one side and came back to it.
The Ti gives up heat so well there's minimal baking done leaving plenty to come back to.
And because this has to be the most fun I had in the name of science.
I think I may do some more tiny stems, El Roacho.

what kind of lighter is that u are using in the shorty video? It's so interesting, does that grove shield the torch from wind?

It's a cheap Hong Jing with the outside shell of this cheap torch cut and filed into shape. Less than $5.

Also done one for my latest torch, this one allows you to raise or lower the tip into the flames.
Paper labels are there to see how hot the aluminium gets, research for a possible silicone sleeve.

@almost there the very first one I did was SS and got to hot, good enough to be out on the water with and I can walk up and down the garden using both of them. Saves a bit on gas as the heat is localised.

The wait for my Ebony OmniVap is killing me - would love a little hit round about now - mid-morning Sunday, pre-lunch - but I can't risk firing up the Ascent. I'd either get totally blazed or underdo it so that it had no effect. What I'm trying to say is that with the VapCap I could load a tiny load, take just one nice rip and be buzzed for an hour or so but be confident that I'd be perfectly sober for family lunch. I was only beginning to learn how good it is for microdosing before the crash... Oh well, as my dear old dad used to say, "Everything comes to he who waits".
