So your joke site is fully registered with all private information? And has been up since October 27? Yeah that doesn't sound like a joke to me. I think your shooting your self in the foot here buddy. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who would buy a unit that has been copied, with minimal effort to differentiate it from the others. But I think there are less people who would buy from a liar, and a bad one at that... I think the real issue here, besides the obvious lying, is the why his unit was changed and not how. The only reason for his minimalistic changes is to simply make the unit different in someway to allow him to sell it. Whereas when Tom brought his unit to the market, his reason for change was to make the unit better and improve it, not just change it. Honestly I don't think you would be getting as much crap had you not lied from the start, and just admitted your looking to make an easy buck without offering any sort of innovation.


HERE is the registration info on his "fake" site, that costs him money to host... And his domain lease is good until oct 27 2010...

I don't care whether the guy has commercial aspirations or not. If he can ship a quality vape for a good price in a reasonable amount of time, more power to him. Save all the drama for your mama.

He's created the drama by lying about only producing them for sick friends and only interested in selling 6 leftover units. And of course about being forced into production, when anyone who doesn't want to go into production can easily deny. I have no problem with him bringing another vape to the market, but you can't possibly say that he is going about it a just and moral way. The thing is he has not offered any sort of innovation, so the only sales he will get are from people not willing or able to wait for a PD. As long as there is a PD wait he will have a market, and luckily Tom will be selling at capacity because of the wait. If the wait were to be servilely diminished or go away altogether, I think his sales would drop and they would go back to Tom. Now unfortunately he will take sales away from Rick, but nothing is stopping Rick from adding a bit of innovation to his product and improving upon it making it even more desirable.

How do you know he lied about sick people? You don't. That didn't stop you from trashing him, though, did it? One might even say that was "unethical".

Another thing to consider. If he feels that it's ok to lie regarding his intentions and his site, what makes anyone feel that he won't also lie about his vape being RoHS compliant, or lie about his warranty, or lie about anything else.

It's all about trusting the person whom you're doing business with. Not drama. Just common sense.

I got the WDZ in the mail today

So far I like it , going from a DBV to a Woodeez size bowl is a bit of a change . I'll do a better review after I have more time with it .

Ummmm, believe me gang, my product is plenty desirable just as it is. We are busy, busy, busy. Remember the undesireable-ness(which is unproven and not supported by facts) of the AZ/MZ came directly from a competitor who altered our design that we have been using for 9 years or so.

Again, Woodeez is about wait times on the PD. When you offer a product to a market, you better deliver the product timely or something will change.

And to those of you bitching about this knock off, lets wait and see how the wait time comes down on the PD. I always thought PD buyers wanted the wait time down. Betcha they get that real soon.

Dark fancy Walnut Woodeez in my hands before Christmas.

There exists no other reason, nor is there any need for another reason for ordering a Woodeez over a Purple Days. So I have cancelled the PD and ordered the WDZ.

I've thought about this for the last couple of days, and see no reason why I shouldnt move forward. This really did start out to make a few vapes for some friends, but has snowballed to the point that I see an opportunity. I have every intention of making the most of it. My vape is not a clone of the PD, I took a PD apart last night just to see whats going on in there and they are not alike. I do use a copper cup for a diffuser though, that I admit to.

I would suggest that you have some sort of factual proof that someones lying before you just accuse them of it. Halloween seems about right as to when the webpage was created. All you had to do was ask. Its offline now. It was a joke before, it will be for real soon.

Woodeez are currently being offered in Walnut and come with a 12 volt transformer, 3 stems, aromatherapy cup and sample of Woodeez Waxx. They come with a 1 year warranty. The price for FC members is $150.
Custom units are an option and I will be offering other types of wood in the future. Walnut has been far and away the most requested wood type, so I will be stocking it from here on out.

Highend would you be apposed to showing some pics of the WDZ insides? If everything used is SS and you are able to take a picture of all your parts and the HE, I think it would only greatly help your sales. I know Tom's pics, make me feel just all so well. Suggestion for increased sales? I think I am really just curious.

Commercial websites usually cost $30 to $40 a month and getting all the privacy that Todd obviously requires costs extra too (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/woodeez-ss.com). And with a one year commitment to the cost of that website >$360 (?) you can hardly continue to play the "it was a joke" card. Todd, you just keep digging a hole.

Well Tom, it seems that there are a few kids who don't know better, for there are some that are purchasing vapes from him. It is just beyond me why someone would want to do business with someone who has these kinds of integrity issues. I know that there are those that REALLY want a PD vape and that have absolutely no patience to wait for one, but even then, why not go for an MZ that they can get just as quick as a Woodeez? I guess maybe because they don't want any brass in the vapor path, but then they're purchasing an unknown, unproven vape from a person who has out and out lied about his business intentions which makes him suspect on EVERYTHING he states, including what he says about his vape. Makes absolutely no sense.

With the TONS and TONS of great reviews on the PD, along with many great reviews on the Zap, why anyone would want to purchase a Woodeez considering the above stated issues, is beyond me.

I guess the same people that would buy these are the exact same people who wouldn't give it a second thought to go out and purchase a cheap Chinese knock-off on Ebay without ever knowing what in the hell was inside of it and if they would EVER honor a warranty if things should go south, or even if they would ever get it after sending in their money.

If you're gonna do business with someone, do business with someone you can trust. Pretty simple concept, eh?

I buy things not only because of quality products but also because of the way I feel about the company/proprietor/etc etc - Tom is a great, stand up guy and always contributes in a positive manner to this forum. The way all this went down, just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
