Hello, I have been in here for about a year now, tend to keep up with some conversations and not so much on the others. I feel like I already know some of you folks. I live in Northern Indiana, late 30's married, 2 kids (both early teens) and loves me some vapors. Thanks for the great site.

Hello my name is Jim B. I'm currently in the process of developing my own web show and Vaporization will be one of the many topics for it. But let me tell you about myself, I'm 20 years old currently in College for Media Arts.

Smoking, I discovered that when I was 18. Smoking pot was pretty much what I did at that age until sources got cut off. I never paid for my own stuff so my friends and I just hung out until stuff happened. I was, what can you say, a causal pot smoker but the problem was I hated smoking it because someone always had to hold the lighter for me while I plug my nose- I have clef lip and pallet. And even though I loved bongs, that was a complex thing too. Either method, the smoke will go right out of my nose irritating when i was inhaling the smoke.

I used to smoke cigs too but never and gladly didn't get addicted to them. I wasn't a fan of the nicotine high. My friends and I broke up, my boyfriend- the one who helped me and introduced me to the world of pot also went his separate way. So a year passes, more like two years and I had the rare instances where I smoked but it was... ok.

However, Just a few months ago I discovered Vaporization. I have an Iolite now which I am going to do a video review of soon as I get my cameras. Other then that I am loving this board and will look around for more info. Seriously, the Iolite helps me much and it is very economic. No more holding a lighter and trying to plug my nose and no more combustion too. I was amazed at the facts about vaping. Why don't other people know about it? :(

Hello there everybody!

I've been a long time stalker of this site but finally decided to register. All the information here has greatly improved my vaporizing experience.
I've been consuming the sacred 'erbz for a few years now, up until a year ago the only way i consumed was either with a spliff (mixed with tobacco, urgh!) or very rarely shotties (the most vile way of smoking ever, take a bowl off a metal downtube put tobacco in the tube and put the herb on top of it then proceed to rip it, tastes awful and used to make me almost hurl everytime).
Sadly I only consumed in these ways because thats the only way people around my area do..
Thankfully though about a month and a half ago i quit the devils pubes and now continue to consume the herbs in the way they should be, by theirself.

My experience with vaporization started about a year ago when i bought a vaporstar, used it on/off but sadly spliffs always seemed to come first.
However when I decided to take up consuming purely I started using her again and after a lot of reading around this forum and several others I took the next step and bought a home vaporizer.
I bought the Extreme-q and am more than impressed with this machine, i've now fully 'Fucked Combustion' and I'm now only vaporizing :D.

So I pack this next bowl in honour of all of you, thanks FC!!

Greetings all!

My name is Dana and I hail from Alberta, Canada. I am currently 18 years young and am attending university to get my Bachelor's in Music Performance. I am a dramatic soprano (for those non-classical folks out there that means I'm one of those crazy opera chicks that can practically shatter glass with my voice). I have few true passions in my life including music, cooking, God and cannabis!

My marijuana usage began merely a year ago when a friend introduced it to me at a party. But I had also consumed some alcohol so I did not get the full effect. I tried it again about a month later with my most beloved brother, and this is when my love affair with cannabis began. My usage escalated quickly because not only did I constantly have someone to smoke with (my brother), but I also just-so-happen to date a salesman of the substance! But as my usage increased so did my concern of the possible damage of my voice. Luckily my brother was a tad bit more knowledgeable than me (at the time) and informed me of vaporization! But there was also the simple problem of hiding that I indulge from my parents. A classic, non-portable vape was simply not an option for a minor, ESPECIALLY the price tag! So when the Vaporgenie was brought to my attention I was ecstatic! I quickly arranged it so that I could order two Genies (one glass, one classic purple) and have them sent to a co-worker's mailbox to avoid the pending awkwardness of having my innocent-minded mother open up the mail only to find two pipes! In two weeks I was experiencing the magic of vaping for the first time, and my life was changed for good. I am an avid user now and I cannot imagine what would have happened to my voice if I would have began smoking everyday instead of vaping.

Interestingly enough I recently discovered that my father is a heavy marijuana user as well, but he grew up on joints and I am currently trying to convert him!

More about me... my music taste is not only classical like I may have foreshadowed earlier. I also have a passion for metal and classic rock. Maybe throw in some rap such as Ice Cube or Dr. Dre and I'll be a happy girl :) I play many instruments including guitar, bass, piano and trombone. I've previously worked as a Bible camp cabin leader and I truly believe that cannabis was put on this Earth by the Lord to be enjoyed responsibly and to be used for it's medical qualities. I love to cook and I began cooking with cannabis before I had ever even tried it myself! I love a good sativa and there is nothing I enjoy more than vaping with my friends and having a good laugh or intellectual conversation. I believe that cannabis is a beautiful thing, and my musicianship has improved dramatically since I began indulging on a regular basis!

At the risk of becoming monotonous I am going to leave you with this: sing like nobody's listening, laugh like you have the constant giggles, and vape like there is no tomorrow!

Love and peace from Calgary! :peace:

*cough**cough* hii everybody my names alexander I'm 19, and I live in new jersey. Um I've been smoking for a few years now and its just gravy. Before I was of age the issue was always how to smoke. Not out of fear of persecution but lack of options. Papers, dutches, pipes(glass, metal, etc.) Were luxuries I never took for granted since I seldom came across them. Then when I i met my first love(who was 18 at the time) used to take me down to the shore and pamper me with cute acrylic bongs and those big weird semi chinese labeled hookahs. Since then I smoke differently every few days. I only very recently got a vaporizer from a local tobacco shop I frequent. I dig the productive, energetic high that it gives me and its just a neat little wooden box for 40$(wish stickers wouldn't peel off tho =.( so yea that's my bit here's to new friends and new ideas!

To all the vape-babies................welcome.

And to Danalee, that was an enjoyable read. And thank God you turned to vaping. It would be sad to see a talent that is meant to be shared along with something that someone truly loves to do be ruined by something so easily avoided.

Hummm... Where to begin?

Well, i was relatively young when man first walked on the moon. Yet, those are days i do remember. Later in college we were the last condom-free generation; Weed was weed, hash was hash and LSD really was LSD... Put shortly, life was simple and there was little need to be concerned about one's favourite substance purity.

The virtues of THC hit me during the exams period which sort of kept me on my toes at that time: it had become increasingly difficult to get a good nap so that's how i came to search for some cool way to relax. Hashish helped a lot in the begining but then my priorities changed a while later. Anyway, many decades have passed since the good old days, i've quit smoking (Drum tobaco) about fifteen years ago and it's been nearly three years since the last time my old pipe saw any light. Many things kept me busy lately i guess, it was easy to forget how fast time goes by.

I'm not going to preach in favour of "cleanliness", quite on the contrary! My mind is built in such a way it has to be re-initialized, so to speak, once in anwhile... That's necessary for my equilibrium and the ability to live without a good smoke doesn't mean i'm done with the need for it. The urge never leaves but it's a new town here with new neighbours, etc., etc., and that's a different circuit.

Thanks to computers and the internet my attention finally started to focus on Salvia Divinorum and vaporization (better late than never, right?)... This is something radically new in my world but i can learn.

The rumor says regular (and utterly expensive) vaporizers aren't satisfying if one contemplates the possibility to switch from weed to salvia. In fact, such potent tools would constitute a risk if they were to work with that other plant at all. The more i read the more i'm forced to conclude i don't want to inhale salvia vapors directly. Heat guns appear to provide the necessary power and accuracy, plastic bags sound like a reasonable method to get acquainted with salvia; add some water-based filter/coolant in the middle and that should give a clue or two about my arrival on this site.

In simple terms, i'm curious about the new resources/concepts mentioned above.

Hi!

I am derp, and relatively new to vaporizing. Here's my story...

I live in a far away, backwards country, whose name I will not mention here.
I'm 30 years old, and have always been addicted to weed and computers (well at least 13 years). I've known about vaporizing for a long time, but somehow never got to try it, apart from a disappointing homemade bulb vaporizer, that didn't work at all.

That is, until recently. Since I work online, and nowadays earn a lot better than the average around here I traveled to Amsterdam a few times. Before my last trip I had a worsening asthma related to allergies, and combustion just made it worse.
So I decided to get a vape on my next trip (our customs are very strict and greedy so ordering one was out of question).

That is when I found this forum. After a bunch of reading I decided for the Herbalaire. I picked a headshop that carried it, and waited for my trip.
As it turned out they were out of stock of the HA, so I had to decide for a different vape on the spot. I decided for the slightly more expensive Extreme Q.

All this without ever using a real vape... I was worried all the way back if it was worth it.... Tried it out as soon as I got home, and got more baked than I ever did in 'dam from all those joints (I smoked about 2-3g a day alone)! It was just amazing, I was hooked from the very first draw, and knew that I was saved.

This happened a month ago. Didn't combust ONCE since then, but vaped all day every day... And I just love it. My asthma is getting better, and I'm starting to use less herb with better efficiency.

I also had to order a backup unit, it had to be a portable one, and of course this forum helped me decide for the MLFB. It was also worth every cent, it is slowly becoming my primary vape. It's just so efficient and :ninja: ! But I'll try to post more about it in the appropriate thread...

I am a very happy convert now, and I hope I will never have to combust again.

Thank you all in this great community, I have learned a shitload of stuff from this forum. I just signed up to say THANK YOU ALL!!

Welcome one and all.

Bones, you should know that this is a thoroughly moderated site, where new threads aren't welcomed unless the really do cover a new topic. Such posts will be moved promptly to the end of an old thread where the topic is already covered. Though sometimes, when they are considered entirely superfluous, they are just moved to ABV (already been vaporized) forum, ie the thread graveyard, as yours was.

You question was in relation to the Arizer Extreme Q vape, for which there is already a very lengthy thread. There is also another thread specifically covering discussion of retailers. I'll let you find them yourself (if you haven't already) - it'll be good practice for you. ;)

Get used to the search function, as most of the subject matter relating to vapes and vaping will have already been raised many times before. That's not to say this isn't generally a friendly site (it most certainly is, despite Pappy's less than charitable and suspicious reply to you thread) but keeping these forums uncluttered and easy to use has been a high priority. :)

Search First, Ask Questions Later (How To) thread:

Hi. I am pleased to introduce myself to such a distinguished group. I am a 65-year-old living in Lotus Land. The Sacred Herb came late into my life (still, that was 40 years ago!), and I have been a pretty consistent smoker since. It is only in the last 10 years that I have become a chron. I retired in 1980 but now work part time to supplement a meagre pension.

Throat and lung distress led me to vaporizing first with the Volcano (not to my liking), but now to the Q an exceptional implement. I also have a Magic Box and a Vapourgenie, so my combustion days are now firmly behind me. Fucking combustion is the only action I am getting these days.

I am a non-dualist, father of four, grandfather of four. Been to Amsterdam a number of times and lived in Africa and the U.S.

Today's young imbibers know far more about the SH than I have time left to learn. The stuff we consumed in the 60s was pure ditch weed by comparison and choices were limited to got some or not.

I am here to learn, so you probably won't see many posts from me.

Peace. Freedom. Joy.

Hi! Not really sure where to begin. I'm really terrible at participating on forums, real-time idle chat seems to be where I do the best so chances are I'll probably be in the chatroom for here.

I was never a full-time smoker before and it's only been the last few months I've begun partaking regularly. 'd admit I'm not only rather new but I'm not sure if my tolerances have fully settled or if they ever will. I go through about an eight every two weeks and I vape once a night. I wasn't terribly impressed the first time I used a vaporizer, which was some very cheaply built wooden box with sort of a gumball shaped attachment with a whip on the end -- but I always understood the idea itself was sound.

I'm afraid it'll get scoffs, but I did go out and purchase a Volcano Classic two months ago simply because I had never heard anyone say something outright *bad* about the Volcano and the entire operation of the Volcano appealed to me. Attach balloon to valve, place on heater, inflate. I've only rarely had any sort of mishap and maintenance was a breeze. Friends have found the device rather interesting and fun.

That being said, I'm realizing that even if I like the bags for convenience, as I can do things one handed and walking around the house with a bag, I don't like the heat up time and delay. Sometimes I'll miss when the light goes off and the heating element is ready, only to miss that window by the time I'm about to place a balloon on to inflate -- it'll be heating back up again.

So basically I'm looking for suggestions, though I'm sure that'll have to be in another thread. :)

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Hello Fellow fuckers of combustion,

I have been reading this forum since I found it in May. I had been looking into vapes in general since I got my med card. I got a pretty good deal on an EQ ($180, don't hate me) through one of my collectives.
Since the day I got it, I have not smoked and I feel so much healthier. The disgusting old glass bong and pipe combo that I had been using since 1994 has been replaced by the EQ and a new launchbox and I am happy. I'm a 34 year old cancer survivor for anyone who finds that sort of thing interesting.

I love this community. Thank You.

Budget, welcome to the forum! And congratulations on winning the fight and being a survivor!!!! :D

I know how you feel about the old "equipment." I recently found all my smoking paraphernalia in a drawer. Really I should say that I opened the drawer and a horrible smell came out. It was my pouch with my old pipe, etc. Nasty smelling. And to think I once thought that smelled good!!

Glad to see you have joined the rest of us that have kicked that nasty habit and moved up to the world of vaping. There are some great people here. I look forward to your posts.

Thanks Mom,

I've only been vaping for a few months, so I haven't had time to forget about them.
I'm still fascinated with vaporizing and everything that goes (and doesn't go) with it.
The pipe cleaned up almost perfectly and doesn't really smell like anything so I'm keep it. The bong is never going to be clean enough to vape with and smells nasty. I'm don't know why I haven't tossed it yet. It stinks the cabinet up too. What I will never miss is the taste and smell of butane.

Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to your posts too, especially in the cooking threads. I have so much to learn about that sort of thing.
