Hey FC!

I've been reading these forums for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger and register for the site.

I have never been a fan of combusting, and have always had an interest in vapes. I think the first vape I tried was in 04' and it was a BC vaporizer that was awful. After trying the BC I knew that I wanted more from a vaproizer so I started researching.

In 06" I made it out to Amsterdam and got to try a Volcano Digital Vap. From the moment I tried that Nevilles Haze out of the Cano I knew that I was a super vape freak. I finally understood all the subtle tastes you hear about wine connoisseurs talk about, but with my green.

When I got back stateside I started looking around for the best vape for me and decided on a SSV with the Ice Chamber, hands free set up, ground glass set up, and the wonderful aroma top! I loved my SSV and would never turn it off.

Today felt appropriate to sing up with the update about the VXC being availble. I preorded a long time ago, and can't wait to pair it up with my glass collection.

I'm really excited to be part of this wonderful community!

dirtpie,
Hey guys!

I found these forums researching what kind of vape I wanted since I'm about to bust my cherry and get my first. I'm still sort of up in the air but am leaning towards a LSV since i was initally attracted to VHW but the durability as well as the higher price point shifted my opinion a bit.

I've been a combustion freak for a while, enjoying most smoking apparatuses and being quite fond of MJ and tobacco. However after seeing a close family member and long time smoker struggle with COPD and other cardiopulmonary issues related to combustion comsumption I decided to quit the tobacco and save my pennies for a vape. I'm also a taurus and enjoy long walks on the beach but sorry ladies I'm already taken.

I look forward to discussing with you all and getting to enjoy my vape...when I get it. until then I'm not consuming so vape some for me. Also I'm pretty excited about the apparent money saved from vaping. Instead of everything going up in smoke I'll basically get triple usages with a shaker, grinder, and ABV concoctions. Thanks!

What's up, everyone?

I was referred by a member (not sure what his tag is on this site) who suggested this would be a good source of information in my search for a new vape. The sheer amount of info and reviews Ive found here alone is awesome! It's like a one stop shop for reviews and model info.

Short history:

I can be a fairly compulsive buyer. And one day at my local head shop I saw a vape (VapirOne) and, since I had heard good things about vaping, figured why not? So I get it home and after awhile I find out that it's really a low end vape that I probably over paid for. I could never quite get it to work, it had a horrible plastic taste, and I just felt like I was wasting my herb and had wasted my money.

After a few years go by I broke my bowl and had to run down to the same local head shop to get another. While I was there I saw a vape that I had been researching (the iolite), and bought it on the spot. They even threw in the bowl I was looking at for $5 extra. Not a bad trip, if a little more expensive than I had expected.

I love my iolite, but I'm looking for something strictly for home use now. Plus, it's pretty easy to break the mouth piece on the iolite (I've heard something recently about softer plastic so it will give before breaking). And with as much as I would live to vape, I don't like the idea of being able to run out of butane if I'm not paying attention. It's only happened once, but damn was it disappointing.

I'll be lurking for awhile trying to find the right fit for me. After that I'm sure I'll stick around.

Anyway, take it easy...
Welcome Gator!

That would be me. :D Do stick around and join the fun. Watch out though. You may catch 'vape fever' and find yourself interested in more than just a 'home and away combo'.

Maybe. I tend to catch fevers like that pretty easily. But, my new vape purchase will be set back a few months. Earlier today my old computer crapped out. I bought a new one, but that ate in to the money I had saved for my future DBV. :(

On the bright side, the replacement pieces and the optimizer I bought for my Iolite have made a pretty big difference in the overall experience..

Hi everyone. I've posted a few times in some of the vaporizor product threads to ask some questions and learn some things. I've become addicted to buying and trying different vapes on my limited budget. I've gone way over looking back on it. but whatever.
i started w/ the vapor genie. i like it alot after learning how to use it properly. my complaints are the mouth piece gets to hot for me. and i just don't think i have the lung strength to keep using it.
i then got the mflb which i really like alot. the charging of the batteries gets annoying. i upgraded to the 2700's batteries. those are much better but again the charging is annoying. the mouth piece gets to hot for me with it as well. i keep getting a blister inside of my lip after using it. so i just ordered the PA and the 2 foot tube which I think should help alot.
i then bought the M420 incredibowl. yeah combustion but i've always wanted it and it floors you. i've never been so baked after using it. the screen gets clogged quickly. you have to clean that part often. but other than that it's a great product. i got a 3 foot extension tube in the mail to me now for that. that's going to be fun.
and then i got a small bonus at work so i said screw it lets get the iolite. i have that in the mail to me now.
anyway, i've loving reading through this forum.
i'll probably sell one of these vaporizers in the classifieds section after i meet those posting requirements.
have a great weekend!

Welcome Propjoe, nice to see you caught the bug.

But I think what you ought to be aiming for is a nice home unit instead of more portables. The models you speak of will do what they do but they're not much good as bong replacements. But there certainly are vapes (such as my Silver Surfer) that can hit as thick as you could want. Time for you to check out that end of the market. :2c:

Qbit,
Hi Fellow Vape enthusiasts. I forgot my old pwd (& email address!) after hitting my Omicron for the last two weeks straight...come to think of it, I dont' really remember the username either! :p N E Wayz, I almost exclusively vape. My first device was a Vapor Bros. Over the years I've collected: Vapor Bros. Handsfree, Inhale, Iolite (gifted), Volcano Digit, VapePen, Omicron. As I'm sure is often the case, I thought I was quite knowledgeable about vapor before I stumbled upon this forum. I think it was about the time I found myself going back to the Vap. Bro's from the Volc. After two weeks of straight oil though, Idk if I'll be vaping flower anytime soon Thanks for everyone who makes FC what it is, it's nice to have a home where you know you're surrounded by those that appreciate vapor for the fine art form that it really is ;) :peace:

Modnote: If you remember any of those things please contact staff.

Hey y'all!
I figured after many months of lurking every day I may as well finally register.

I'm Vince from Manitoba, Canada... A long time toker, somewhat new to vaping. I decided that after years of combustion that I should give my lungs (and sinus) a break. In the past year I've acquired an Extreme Q and MFLB, now I'm just lacking a method for vaping concentrates besides sandwiching my bho in abv out of the EQ. I'm leaning towards the Eclipse H20 unless someone can suggest something better.

So yeah, just wanted to thank you all for the fountain of knowledge that is FC!

welcome to the forum vince, im sure you will enjoy your stay at this fine community.

if you don't care how pretty your screen looks, you can designate one of the back corners as the "oil corner" :D

it vapes concentrates insanely well, i just plop a dab on my "launchpad" and vape away. as long as you're not dropping monstrous dabs on there, its quite easy to keep all of the melty goodness within the intial residue stains. since the small clogged area is at the back corner of the screen, draw performance is not significantly affected when vaping buds, i can't notice a difference, and OMG is the taste incredible, plus if you have a glass stem you can reclaim from it, and boy does it res up quickly!

of course now my positive experiences sound like encouragement to try this out, that is completely up to you, many people wish to keep their boxes pristine. i just love oil :p be warned that it will clog a small area of your screen, though cleaning with ISO helps reduce this.

i knew that searching "launchpad" would find where i heard about this.

i've been doing this for a few days and it works fine. not monster oil dabs, but stronger than any other MFLB hit you could get.

Hi all,

Posted a few times in the VaporGenie thread, which I found when researching this purchase. Back 20 odd years ago I may have smoked a little too much (among other things, ahem), and since then have except for a handful of times been away from the herb. Recently, my partner and I have been getting the hankering again. I heard about vaporization from a friend, got some bud, found FC from a Google search on my vape options, and here I am, loving my VG, feeling all around more relaxed and better slept (and hopefully her glaucoma is reduced too).

Venturing out amongst the rest of the site now, so I thought I would say hello.

Hi FC,

UK member here. Uncle got lung cancer a few months back and it lead me into researching another way to 'consume' after over 20 years of burning my lungs. I knew hardly anything about the vape world. Then I stumbled across FC and have been addicted to the info here ever since - as well as vaping of course!

So, in the 5 weeks-ish that I've given up combusting I've bought a MFLB for on-the-go and a EQ for home (love them both). I'm now trying to get a log-vape as I love that natural look and feel of the log's. Also looking into a little perc/bubbler for those silky smooth cool hits. My next step is to get into edibles from my ABV and ISO-goo collecting from whips/elbows etc.

I honestly think that without FC, and all of the contributions that it's members have made, I wouldn't have taken the leap to give up smoking. So a big thank you all FC members and mods for this extremely interesting, informative and honest forum.

Hello fellow vaporists

Been lurking here for a little while, reading TONS of great information.
After all the glowing reviews, I decided to get the awesome MFLB!
What an amazingly stealth vape. Wish I would've heard about it a while ago. Just love my MFLB!

I've used the Volcano for a while now and like most, just figured that it's the best and nothing can come close.
That was until I found these forums. For some reason, after using it for years, I never even thought to use it with water. I had a little bubbler that I never used because I try not smoke too much anymore. After some great ideas here, I tried it with the bubbler and WOW...what a difference!

So then I was on the hunt to get a PA & WPA for my great MFLB...
but after doing my extensive "research" here, I started leaning towards getting a Vriptech VHW setup instead...
but now after all the praise and all the positive comments...
I now officially have cloud fever...Can't wait to get my hands on the precious CLOUD!

Thanks for reading my first post...loving the forums, seems like a great community :peace:

Welcome guys! I really love the name, J.R.R. Tokin' and glad to hear that you've given up combustion. I think the EQ is one of the best at home vapes, the cyclone bowl is very efficient. And save up that ABV, you'll be making some bomb edibles, I've got to make some myself pretty soon. Cheers!

Hi everybody!

I"m a 25 year-old male and I recently decided to be self employed and start up a small studio making iOS and Android apps and doing mobile websites (my background is software engineering). I was born in Sacramento and grew up in Detroit, rural Pennsylvania and rural Utah. I now live in the Sacramento area again.

I attended a conservative religious University pursuing a bioinformatics degree (basically computer science mixed with genetics), but was expelled my senior year. Lets just say I didn't fit in and it is amazing I was there that long before I was booted. Luckily I work in an industry where degrees don't really matter.

I have been vaping for ages with the Launch Box, but recently moved to nor cal and got a medi card, so I finally have the freedom to get serious about "medicating". As my tolerance went up I started looking at hashes and ended up trying some silly putty made with the Ocean Grown Truth strain. That experience changed my life.

The clear clean experience and the milky creamy floral vapor instantly sold me on the virtue of 90%+ concentrates and made me realize how much combustion mutates/perverts the real cannabis high. I can code software while sky high on that stuff.

So I grabbed my first vapor swing and havent looked back. I want to learn to make honey oil/budder so I am not limited by the concentrates that are commercially available, so y'all will certainly be seeing posts from me as I baby step myself through the concentrate production learning process.

Thanks for reading!

you're right. i actually was able to cancel the iolite purchase. i went with the solo arizer instead. i like that piece alot.
i purchased an Underdog vape this morning. i'm really looking forward to that piece. this one will be my home unit that'll get the most use.

whats happening guys?
back for another stay, different name. used to be jklasd or jklasd14(cant remember, been a while lol). loved it here. got almost all of my research from these forms after i made the mistake of buying a chinese knock off.

i have owned, not including said piece of shit, the SSV and the PD. I currently own the MFLB and my own ceramic soldering-made vape that i made, which instructions came from these forms. PD broke down, never got it fixed and it got thrown out by a very mean person before i could get it fixed. SSV is also gone, in a very sad tale. i miss it so. MFLB has had no batteries for a very long time and i have not ordered new ones because, simply, im a fool. i couldn't find any place that had fittable batteries (tried the big brands, tried PC(canadian company), and a couple others) and then gave up. BUT i have found a brand that works, powerex! imedion 4xAA 2400mAh to be exact. i plan on picking them up very soon. and then my DIY vape is never used because it doesn't hit as hard as id like for a main vape.

im hoping to catch up on my vape knowledge, as well as everything else. i want another main house vape, thinking the extreme or ssv. but as i said, knowledge is needed. and it wont be for a few months. i just wanted to welcome myself to you guys. i wont be posting much, reading lots mostly, until i catch up.

one last thing. i have been combusting for a while now, almost a year. but please, dont hold it against me. i have miss the vape very much and look forward to a new future again one day.

whats up guys! been combusting for about 6 years now. i have made LBVs a few times and have used real vapes on occasion. ill make a thread explaining my situation for help deciding on my ideal vape soon so keep an eye out for it.

happy tokin!

Bon Dog,
I guess I'm not too late to introduce myself properly? :uhoh:

Anyway, I started vaporizing as a solution to work around my asthma so I wouldn't have to work out the damages of smoke inhalation. Plus the herb scene here really isn't that amazing. The place I live around generally offers a well-known cannabis strain but it is hard to find (Catpiss?). So with generic stuff I figured vaporizing could enhance or at least level the taste of Reggs/Corn to a more pleasant experience.

For the important stuff? I do this for my anxiety, I don't want to be put on a pill which could result in a creative suicide method.

I've been a longtime lurker and fan of vaporizers, but never really willing to spend the money on a quality vape. My first vape was a VP-600 which almost turned me off of vaping completely. However, my launch box and Arizer Solo have almost completely swayed me away from combustion in the past year. I don't have any real conditions that would stop me from being able to smoke, but the clear headed and productive high coupled with the stealth and health benefits of vaping really leave no other preferable alternative, at least for me.

In real life, I owe much of my success so far in my adult life to the lovely green flower, as it helped me come out of my shell as a severe introvert and deal with the severe ADD I was born with. Right now I am studying computer engineering with a focus on network, primarily wireless. I'm working right now in WLAN engineering for a very major Canadian cellphone company (terms of employment make that all I can say about that) as part of my course, and I am loving it.

I am a complete nerd, constantly absorbing and analyzing everything about life, even to my detriment. I have a wide working knowledge in various fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering and interpretive dance (alright I made that one up lol).

All in all I am an avid vapor enthusiast and love spending time here at fuck combustion
