Did you perceive the whole thing in slow motion and consider the direness of the situation and your inability to reach out and catch it before it hits the concrete? (These types of things always seem to happen in slow-motion for me :)) ... sure a lucky break (or not :)). Concrete usually = disaster

For me these accidents feel like fast-motion, it happens so fast that only thing I can do is freeze in shock and pretend it's fast-mo. :D
I hope no glass of mine will ever fall and break as I would not be able to save it in my shock-frozen state. Oh well, it happened already with my bubbler from Classifields :(. But good to have practice on braking glass on this cheap bub so it don't have to happen with a HT or a Cloud, hopefully.

Yeah, it seemed like slo-mo to me. My brain went from :o to  to :ugh: to :bang: to  before it even hit the cold concrete floor. Within seconds I was already wondering how much a replacement ash catcher would be. Then I picked it up and couldn't even find a scratch on it..... so my brain went all the way to :D.

I chalk it up to clean living. ;)

Maybe it was a dream, Stu. After all, aren't you pretty much up in the Clouds all the time anyway? Maybe the gods were sending you a message. :)

saftey first! the dense cloud environment had enough friction in the air to slow it down before hitting the ground, thus gently landing on a cloud before kissing the concrete.

Bummer... Along those lines I broke my angle adapter and have been using the SGW HT exclusively past few days. I like it wet and dry! So glad I brought it as backup. New ALT angle adapter should arrive by week's end but am growing fond of SGW. My sympathies t-dub!

Stu: Be careful with that AC. Microscopic cracks are invisible. I think if glass falls significantly and doesn't break, it still weakens somewhat as it cracks microscopically. IMO any glass that survives deathly fall should be reannealed to get back to its initial durability. You can't know how small impact could crack it now.

Thanks, Seek. I will be very careful with it, you can bet on that.

At this point however, I'm more concerned that the Devastator did some serious damage to my concrete floor in my garage lab. Can I sue VXL for damage to the foundation of my house? :hmm:

What is the best cleaning brush for the ELBs? I am interested in peoples opinions.

I soak it in ISO 91%, and then I use a Q-Tip and rewash the ELB again.

I use a brush similar to this....

I just happened to have one laying around the lab that is the perfect diameter to snugly fit the ELB.

My roommates cloud is sick :(
Didn't heat up for me this morning and he said the timer would go off after like 30 seconds later in the day.
Looks like he will have to send it in! I hope it doesn't take forever like some cases I've seen

I know it's primitive, but I'm just using a pipe cleaner with the end doubled-back a couple inches. Surprisingly an in/out while turning motion, cleans it quite well. Cheap. After a week or so, an ISO soak.

i use small scissors. scrap the sides of the elb. i also have one soaking in alcohol, one in the cloud and one drying off, when I pull an elb out of the alcohol I rinse it with hot water and then dry.

after iso soaks, water rinse, toaster oven is BO$$ for drying and finishing the cleaning process, if you're impatient like me!
(thanks to slightymedicated for the idea)

throw it on toast and come back after im toasted(one ELB later) and its ready to go :spliff:

keep a scotch cup full of dirty iso in your kitchen? you prob own a cloud.

Ironically, the 7th Floor pokey stick that comes with DBV/SS and the glass rod Arizer provides for the EQV are the best ELB scrapers IMO.

I use the little black round bristle brush that came with my Atmos Raw to clean my ELBs, the best thing about that kit was the cleaning tool.

Hey guys, been awhile since I posted in here. Took a break from flowers for concentrates. Wife just had our baby a few months ago and had her medicating with the cloud and flowers. We've gone through 2 ounces in the last 2.5 months.

So now I see more glass is available, woot. Time for some shopping!

Sad to catch up in this thread to still see cloud failures :(

Has anybody accidentally only entered vapexhale.co, forgetting the m, when entering the URL to go to to the site? Because I just did. And I was rerouted to the Grenco Science G-Pen website. Interesting play GS.
