No cotton needed, The issue is a clog in the air path. Two solutions to your problem come to mind. The first is clearing clogs without holding the button. Unscrew your clogged cart and pull on it like you were taking a hit and try to pop the clog free that way. When you have a clog and hold the button to melt it pressure builds up and the majority of the load is now liquified and ready to shoot out. The other issue I can see is not cooling down your carts after use. If you have a big session and just set it down you will get a clog every time. After your last hit you want to continue hitting the cart without pressing the button so you can cool the concentrate and cart down to room temperature allowing the concentrate to re solidify without a clog in the flu.

Since I xan monitor the voltage output from my batteries with the iris, what is the minimum before vapor production will be effected? I pulled my aw imr's at 7.7 but my cart could just be runnin a little dry. And im using 5ohm carts

Glad I found this site....I have been using a Trippy Stix, it is ok and has almost got me stopped with combustion. I am anxiously awaiting my Persei with Hercules for herbs and oils! It is in the post on its way! I have been reading up and am grateful for all the tips I have found here for getting started and general use. I will continue reading up and may well have some questins when it arrives. I think access to extracts here is more difficult than the US. I am in Amsterdam....I will keep you posted on my Persei experience!

Aw I really wanna order the Persei but I wanna get the Hercules with it. Is there any way that I can order it now and get the Hercules when it comes out for the same price as if I bought them together?

Bought a re-branded Atmos Thermos month ago, did the upgrade for the Omicron and was sent a Persei instead. Although I did want to use the omi with hvd for a mini, there's not many 7.4 PVs on the market so I decided to keep it. So far working good, but now I'm finding any usage for 7.4 low unless it's for an attachment piece. The 5 ohms were kicking ass with shatter but I found it was still burning oil with only 1.5 sec presses.

Damn, the Delta9 customer service is amazing. I reported my damaged Iris on Thursday and the replacement arrived today. The crazy part is that I live all the way across the country! Thanks again G and the whole Delta9 staff!

Now then, a question for other Iris users. How have you been utilizing your Iris so far?

Hey everyone, just bought my persei 2 weeks ago and went back and got the hercules for it. I'm kinda confused to how to use it best, im not sure if I'm letting it get hot enough to start to hit it, or if mine is just not working properly. Any help would be great, this forum is soley responsible for the confidence I put into purchasing my persei and Hercules cart, and I'm kinda bummed I can't find any threds on here to answer all my questions.

If using oil/wax/shatter you are most likely not letting it get hot enough before hitting it. Take off your heat shield and chamber to expose the mini hammer. Hold the button and get familiar with how long it takes to get fully glowing. You will need to keep in mind that this heat must transfer through to your meds in order to melt them down on to the rod. Fill .2-.3 of oil in a clean tank and hold the button for 80sec then start to hit it, You should get a massive rip. Be sure you are using all red IMR batteries in the 7.4v configuration.

Thanks man, I'm using the two small 3.7v batteries it came with. My med is more waxy, buttery, when I put a small dabs worth in there to try out I let it get warm and was trying to take a rip but couldn't produce vapor, after checking the cart out, it had melted away all the concentrate so I refilled and tried again but same effect so far. Bout to try again with a lil more in the tank and let it heat up for a good while longer like you suggested, thanks man love this forum and noticed your helpin ppl in here alot and seem very knowledgable.

Question to G and DV9: With the new tops (hammer, iris, and whatever it expands to) are you guys going to release colored versions to match your v2's and v2.5s? ie: Purple, Teal, Red. I really would like to purchase both of them but am hesitant because they don't have the corresponding color schemes....

I would also like to note that I'm a little saddened by this last dv9 purchase... In less then a month my Persei single top shorted out, 1 side of my dual top shorted, and the color of the bottom tube is rapidly fading. I've kept it very clean, no solvents or cleaners have been spilled on it or used on it, just seems to be fading with every day use extremely quickly. I sent a ticket in to dv9 about both the top and bottom tube but the refuse to comment on whether there is anything they would do about how quickly there product faded. Despite the problems with it and the Hercules, Im still satisfied by how it hits, just with there was a little but higher finished quality.

No, you cant. I use my persei for eliquids as well. There are a couple of ways you can set it up to use ecig juice. The easiest way an way i recommend is getting a M601-510 thread adapter (www.litecigusa.com has the cheapest prices, about 2$ for a single adapter. I recommend getting several of them.) Then getting a ViVi Nova tank(lower omhs will produce more vapor and have less flavor), Ive found that are the most stable and give you the best flavor/vapor production. They are also rebuildable so you'll save money in the long run... As far as e liquid goes the best 2 brands I've found are Halo and Highbrowvapors.com. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

Thanks to my new Iris, I was able to figure out why one of my Hercules carts has been producing less than satisfactory hits. It turns out that one of the carts reads 3.3 Ohms instead of 1.5 Ohms. G, I take it this is something I should open a ticket for?

3.3ohms sounds like a 7.4v Herc but I'm not sure what it should be ohm wise.

I'm thinking I may have the same issue.
I have two Hercules. One performs excellent. The other takes forever to heat up and doesn't produce vapor as easily.

Careful here guys, my Bender and Hercules heaters both show very large positive temperature coefficients, that is resistance goes up with temperarure. Mine go from 1.5 Ohms cold to 2.6 Ohms hot. Big difference. Normal, part of it's 'soldering iron' heritage.

OTOH, T1, Revolution/DART and Evolution use a heater material that doesn't do this.

I'm pretty sure the 7.4 Hercs are supposed to read 1.5 Ohms.

Yup. Like I just said, mine runs about 1.5 Ohms. As does my Bender heater in fact. I know of another fellows who's does as well (he PM'd me on this very point). However, read it again hot. Run your Hercules cart on your Iris for say 15 seconds or so then read it again. Mine is 2.5 or 2.6 then. As is his. Both readings are accurate, BTW, as verified on my external meter.

So I got some new med lastnight but unfortunately my batteries weren't charged up so I didn't get to try the Hercules out as much as I would of liked. I did start to get some nice hits from it thanks to the tips from DubCRider. Startin to kinda understand how it works and still kinda curious about some things I'm not certain about. So first question is, when I'm putting my med into the cart and let it heat up before I start to draw from the Hercules is the med absorbing into that pourus material that makes up the bottom of the cart to slowly go towards the hammer? And if so how much med can this 'store' persay if I just wanted to be able to not mess around with the cart for a while. Second question, can I put med directly onto the hammer before heating it up to produce vapor immiedtity almost using it like a 'dab' style hit? Sorry if these questions have been asked/answered already it's hard to find specific things in here with how large this post is.
    Happy vapein'

Can anyone recommend where to order some AW IMR 18350's? Both www.delta9vapes.com and www.planetvape.ca are out of stock and I have a trip to California coming up on the 24th. I will definitely need more than one set of batteries for this trip!
