What I did last time I had enough was ball up a bit of greens, just enough to give it a tight fit, and then pushed it through with a paper clip. Rolled that sucker up in some kief, a nice half trench of herb, plopped it on top, and made sure to keep an eye on it after every hit. It never touched my screen and got me pretty nice. Alternately you can smoke it, but that would be beside the point of this forum


Also, BigDaddy, I totally forgot to tell you since I've been nodding through the last few days (ER doctor was kind enough to give me a decent supply of Vicodin ) but I had a pleurisy, they said I should outgrow it in the next 3-5 years but that it's gonna probably happen to me again at some point and that I did the right thing going to the ER... as if I needed them to tell me that...

I read about some of you guys using cotton to vape oil? The cotton doesn't melt or vaporize or anything? I'm curious, not sure if Iwant to risk it...

Hey guys, just saying hello, been lurking for some time and all that I'm a Swedish guy that just got into vaping. I currently vape quite a lot since I discovered it helps me with a severe sleep apnea condition that I have. For anyone not familiar with apnea, it's a condition where you repeatedly stop breathing completely for shorter or longer periods during sleep, resulting in a non-effective sleep. In my case I normally only have about 3 moderately awake days per week. The rest of the time I either sleep or am in a hazy condition (no weed involved of course).

I have avoided alcohol and weed for the most part since I got my sleeping disorder a couple of years ago, as regarding alcohol it's a really bad idea for anyone with severe sleep apnea. Alcohol reportedly dulls the reflex to start breathing again. I figured the same goes for weed, but at one time this winter I went to Copenhagen and smoked some good weed, some Pineapple Express. Although I was fairly tired from my apnea at the time, throughout the evening i felt energetic and somehow normalized. The sleep that night was the best in a long time, no haunting vivid crazy dreams, just slept like a baby and woke up fairly rested. Since then I have successfully experimented with various strains and quantities, and in order to give my lungs and oxygen uptake a better chance also started vaping.

Important note: For anyone else that have severe sleep apnea, I would not recommend following my advice above without consulting with your physician. I do not know if marijuana in any way same as alcohol also dulls the reflexes to start breathing again. Although I feel much more rested after a regular nights sleep being baked, my condition might not be exactly the same as yours.

I got my first MFLB a while ago and have been using it daily since. It's absolute wonderful! I haven't quit smoking my herbs entirely 'cos I still enjoy the hit from a smoke, but i plan to quit that more or less. My first MFLB had a faulty O-ring, but Magic Flight sent me a new unit in a matter of days, despite international shipments. Superb customer service, very friendly and, well, just great

Now after this hopefully not too lengthy introduction I would like to ask if there's any way to search this thread that I'm missing, it's kinda hard to read through 671 pages... although I admit to have read probably hundreds already lol. Just like to be able to do a search before I ask any questions.

Do you use Cpap?

Yeah I use a CPAP, it's set to max and helps but not as much as needed. Been in and out of the hospitals on the apnea, not much help. Apparently they do not possess my new found knowledge of herbs

Wassup guys. I've been lurking for awhile, but decided to join up since my collection got a little deeper yesterday. Picked up a LB from a kid off CL. It's the new design I'm guessing because it has the locking ball thing. Got it for 50 bucks and it came with all the accessories except the little brush. So far, I'm pleased with it. I had been reading on it for months and the battery was the part that threw me off, but once I got the thing in my hand, it's a neat little piece. And "loading" the battery in makes me feel like I'm about to do some real business I started with the EV then the EQ and HA, now LB. One of my favorite aspects is I can use my AVB from the LB in the HA and blow awesome bags still. Recycle Baby!

So ever since I've decided to buy a vape and be as thorough as possible, I've been lurking everywhere that is remotely related... a lot. I was always leaning towards the MFLB, but problem is that I live in India. Here, our weed is generally shit (and I mean shit), and our hash is heaven. Although I know vaping makes most any strain taste better, I'd much prefer to vape hash. This was a major con for me, therefore, in deciding to order the MFLB. But as much as I want a Da Vinci with an essential oil/concentrate compartment, I can't afford one (have you seen the value of the rupee lately?). It seems the answer to all my troubles. So general questions - have any of you ever tried this? Would you be willing to, to let me know if it works (from what I read, it couldn't really fuck up your Launch Box so I think the worst that could happen is it'd be a let down it terms of the kick you get out of it)? Do you know any other methods to vape concentrates in the MFLB? How well do they work? And also, opinions from people who've been using the Launch Box for a while - do you think it might work, or do you think that since this wasn't the purpose intended regular usage might fuck up the Box anyway?

Anyone know what the equivalent in Europe/Scandinavia would be for the ISO used to clean the screen in the LB?

You can probably find rubbing alcohol from a pharmacy - it's used for cuts and is around 70% alcohol. I'm in the UK and get 99.9% ISO

I just placed an online order with Magic-Flight Sales. I was just going to order extra brushes, and saw the wooden stems. So, I picked up one maple stem (to go with my exotic MFLB) and three extra brushes. I can't wait to try the new stem! I usually use clear acrylic stems, but I think I'll be able to get used to a wooden stem too.

Vaping straight hash isn't a good idea because you will most certainly gunk up your screen, but if you chop it up into very small pieces and mix it with some fine ground herb, you should have no problems.

I've been vaping bubble hash for a few months in an old warranty mflb and it definetly has gunked up/fucked up the screen quite a bit. You have to pull through the device super hard to get vapor, it feels like a clogged pipe compared to my new mflb (no hash). Its all been bubble hash that ive used and im pretty sure it wouldnt work with the rolling paper method like some full melt/bho hashes that are used for it. Actually ill just try it right now, wanted to play some late night diablo III anyways

That would be excellent. Please do report back with what you find. The hash here varies all the time when it comes to consistency - sometimes it's like PlayDoh and sometimes hard/brittle as dung. Through years of experience I've found not to judge it by the consistency - contrary to popular myth, some brittle varieties can fuck you up bad as well. Personal preference (solely based on how it smells, feels and tastes, not the strength) leans to more of a soft buttery kind though.
SmokingElectricity - Do you think it'd be more advisable to use the hard, chunky variety if I'm crumbling it into little pieces and putting it on top of a bed of herb... or does it not matter, because it becomes a bit of a gunky mess anyway?
Also, the pot you get here in India can be a bit moist straight out the bag... should I dry it out completely before using it? And when you smoke the pot here pure (with no tobacco), there's a thick tar residue build-up on the inside of the roach (or the tip/filter, depending on what part of the world you're from). I know this comes from the weed being inferior quality, because it didn't happen to me when I was in Amsterdam. What I want to ask is, do you think just vaping this pot could clog up my Box with this gunk?

I think the strength of hash is mostly dependent from what herb it was made and how it was cooked. Plasticky hashes are just more clean - can be a bit more powerful as there is less leaf material.

I think ou are right with every idea here. Its better to use chunky so you can crumble it. It's better that way. But it will melt a bit - needs a bed of herb.

You can vape it moist, but it will take your more hits (first hits will dry the herb mostly), thus more battery power. If you want to be economical with your batteries you should vape dried herb.

Everytime you smoke it gunks up with tar and soot. I don't get it why you didn't experiece it with Amsterdam weed. Maybe it was less "tarry". Anyway tar isn't released with vaping, only goodies you want. And these goodies can condense aswell and builds up very pure hash-like mass. It's consistency is tar-like, yet softer, and it is resin-colored and highly active, not stinky as tar at all.
This "wand hash" is imo the most powerful and purest hash possible.
When your stem get amber colored inside, go reclaim it. It's great.

I understand 'methylated spirits' are available? Ethanol (drinking kind) contaminated with Methanol (wood alcohol) to make it not drinkable. Called 'denatured alcohol' sometimes, it's also used in the paint industry I understand. This too should work well and typically contains no water.
