Magic Flight does NOT mess around with their lifetime warranty. I had emailed them Friday about a warranty replacement, by Saturday they had shipped one out after I sent some photos, and I got it today! Came from California too and I'm near Chicago, needless to say it was a pleasant surprise. More amazing customer service.

Also I bought some spare accessories and they e-mailed me asking if I wanted to pay $2 for first class shipping or $4.95 for priority. The people over at Magic Flight and Blissville are absolutely wonderful. Gotta say I dig the new Maple boxes. The increased airflow is nice but definitely taking some getting used to after using the old one for so long.

got my c9000 charger and a set of 4 of the 2700 mAh HD batteries. thanks for the tip on newegg guys! just doing the break in cycle on em so i will comment on any difference between them and the stock 2000 mAh LD ones when they are ready to go. I like how customizable the charger is. lots of options to play with.

got em stripped and un-gunked in about an hour. used WD-40 and paper towels. it was pretty easy.

*edit:

ok the break in cycle is done and they are ready to go. All 4 finished off in the 2520-2525 mAh range once it had finished recharging them the 2nd time. it took 2 days to complete the process.

the effect: They are definitely able to put out a stronger heat. my test bowl was very crystal covered and it stuck to the screen a bit when i tried to shake it up. one blob of crystal didn't want to come off so i emptied out the trench and just vaped it empty with the lil crystal clump. boy was it neat seeing that lil clump turn into vapor and more or less disappear!

all in all, I am happy i purchased the c9000 kit.

hello all, first post here (although i've been lurking these forums for quite some time now) Ill start off by saying that I love my MFLB and am glad i turned to this forum to solve my 1st vape dilemma.

while the mflb is very portable, ill point out to anybody deciding on whether to get one is that it is VERY small (not necessarily a bad thing when you want to be stealthy) and takes a while to get high. even with proper techniqe and new batteries, it can take awhile to achieve your desired high if you have more than one person hitting it. It does the job, but I would classify it as a personal going-out-and-doing-stuff vaporizer. only one time have i combusted when using this, but it IS possible.

one piece of advice i would also like to add is that batteries go quick (one bowl per battery, any more and the battery is too weak to get a nice hit IMO) and they are expensive, so before you get your little vape you should go out and grab some rechargables. any kind is good, the higher mAh number the better (the 2 eneloops that come with the vape are high quality batteries, but only 2000mAh) I bought a cheap chinese 2-hour charger+4 batteries combo off amazon for like ten bucks which does the trick :D

DeepFied's advice is tasty like chicken... good batts go a long way... and that way is usually quite euphoric.

hit the nail on the head . i remember back when i first got my lb, i had to take wayyyyyy more hits to get high, but with some good batts(2400&up, imo) i can be good in as little as one hit, depending on how functional i want to be.

penny wise, pound foolish i was. i got a 15 min charger to replace my good charger when i killed it, and the 15 min wound up killing my batts. so i had to buy new batts and a new charger, i shoulda just spent the money on a good charger to begin with. .

~65 got me a high end charger and some very solid batts recently. so worth it.

Magic Flight Launch Box Power Adapter Review

So I've been using my beta power adapter for almost 3 weeks now, and I feel that I have to post a short review, as I promised to the MF crew.

First, I own an Extreme Q, a VaporGenie, and 2 MFLBs. Before I got the PA, I used the VG to completely cash my loads, since I found that batteries take too long to darken the herbs. Not even my Sanyo XXX batteries seemed to be strong enough for this, so I dumped the trenches in the VG and flamed them until dark brown. The EQ got very little action then.

Since I got the PA, my desk is much cleaner. I don't need the VG, don't need the battery charger and the batteries laying around all the time. I'm a fairly heavy user, used 4+ batteries each day, so charging and maintaining them was a chore.

As others said, the PA is a godsend. It takes the LB, which is already a very good portable vape, and lifts it to the level of desktop vapes. I am most of the time at home, sitting at my computer working or other stuff, so for me it's perfect. I didn't like the EQ's glass parts, and heatup time. The MFLBPA means I can take a hit any time, with no waiting time at all.

I use it at around the 90% setting, and it works spectacularly. I very rarely touch the strength dial, just to make sure it is at the right setting. I live in a 220V area, and they didn't include a plug converter (it is American-style), so I had to hack up a connection for it (don't worry I'm a professional) until I can get a converter. This is not a problem for me, and will probably be solved when the adapter is final.

The only problem I had with it was the loosening of the button end, like others. I noticed that the light is not as bright, and the hits not as warm as when I got the PA (about a week ago). I read back some of the posts who had this problem, and by tightening the part it was back at full power.

I don't have the sliding problem, probably because it's just me using it, and my desk is pretty big and a bit messy, so it's always "fixed" in a convenient place.

All in all I am very satisfied with it, can't really think of any problems. If I'd have to make any suggestions, then it'd be a bigger handle for the battery end. It might sound silly, but designing some kind of a "housing" for it, maybe something you can clip on to it, so it can stay for stealth situations, like in a car. But a larger handle would make it easier to hold it, and maybe would protect it a bit too.

Ok, I think that is enough for a review... I hope MF reads it, greets to Kimberly and Julie, they've been VERY nice to resolve some issues. :)

Hi Derp,

Thank you for the review! We do try to check in with the forum at least once every few days or so, mainly to check for outstanding questions, so we do read every post. We are very glad to have things be working out so well!

uh, yeah... that is quite stellar customer service IMO.

makes me love my little box even more (that's what she said).

but really... such high quality... and an efficient product... and it makes me feel good, too. like REALLY good.

my only problem, and it sucks that it's kind of a serious one--especially after spending all this extra money on batteries and chargers--is that the sticker on my tin is starting to peel away... ha.

speaking of love, though... do you all name your flight boxes?

I honestly haven't named anything since I had a 2 week-long bad luck streak with glass a few years ago... since then, when I avoid naming something, I somehow avoid breaking it haha.

finally snagged one of these little sweethearts, what a great invention, right up there with the wheel and movable type in my book
not gonna lay another review on ya cause it's all good news and it's been said for what... 377 pages already, the mflb rules plain and simple.
got the 2400 imedion batterries and am happy with them, they don't sound as sexy as the 2700's but i'll take 'em for their longer shelf life.
the whole shootin match fits nicely in my little leather case.
mflbwcase.jpg

anyway here's the tip the midnight rider wants to bring ya...
has anybody noticed how perfect those little zip cases for your memory cards are for haulin' around a couple spare nimh AA batteries?? you can stash a couple in there, even put it on your keyring, try that with your hard case! :p

great idea! i would love having a safe and convenient place for my brush to be in when using the LB.. I hate having to keep track of where i put my brush when using the LB.

When I bought my MFLB it came with a grinder from vape world called the Aerospaced.

It grinds the herb but does not make it into the powder form that I was looking for in the MFLB.

Does anyone know a good grinder that amazon sells?

There are alot of knock offs but I am looking for a grinder that makes the herb in a very fine form.

yes you could be right about cheap batteries not being good enough, but they perform just as well if not longer than the duracells and eneloops i have because they are rated at 2700 mAh. thats not to say that they won't crap out on me with future use

i do use other batteries too. i think the real culprit could be the fact that i don't use very high quality bud

The medium two piece space case titanium works great. Even with very fresh and sticky herb it still grinds very fine. I prefer it even over my coffee grinder because I don't like that it separates the kief and gets stuck to the lid.

And amazon has it.http://www.amazon.com/SPACE-Grinder...GBT6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1299739811&sr=8-2

Space Case grinders are definitely a solid investment. I've used the small 4 piece one that I purchased for $65 3+ years ago at school and it grinds like a champion. At home, I use a Sharp Stone 2" clear top that I purchased for $24.95 and it is nowhere near as good as the Space Case. How fine sometimes depends on your herb imo.

Edit: I just broke down and purchased the powerex 2700 charger/battery set on newegg for $49.99. They will come in handy since MF ran out of the car adapters for the PA. I'll keep the 2 stock batteries as last resort batteries as they aren't powerful enough for my thick cloud appetite.

I'm going to go back and re-read some of the posts, but if anyone knows any other products besides goo-gunk and wd-40 that will remove the shit from the battery, please do let me know.

I can put in another solid thumbs up for the space case 2 piece! Wide variety of grind consistency depending on how long you grind for. And you can collect a decent amount of kief of the outside edges of the bottom piece. I mainly use it for the LB, but it's good for anything

All this talk bout these motherf'in vapes on these motherf'in planes is getting me nervous! I sure as hell couldn't do it, (Vape on a plane :o ) let alone try to take one (checked baggage) but to each their own...

Glad you didn't get caught, and welcome to the board vettes!
