Discontinued The Hammer Vaporizer

Wow I never realized you can use less-pure butane before in the Hammer. Hmmm. even though I was a little sore I didn't win the contest (), maybe it's time to give the Hammer another look :D

I wouldn't necessarily "recommend" low quality butane (and this is not an endorsement for any brand)... but I usually just use Bernz-o-matic butane from Home Depot.

Never had a problem

I typically keep Vector in stock anyways for my torches, but I can't tell you the amount of times back in my IO days when I'd run out of butane and not be able to find anything but Ronson.

We had a blizzard here today and this guy was using Ronson in his Hammer.

It must be working because he already has a mouthful of Mini-Oreos......

That is exactly how I am going to look in another couple of hours. Taking my camera and my hammer down to the lake...and it is freezing! Thanks for the Oreo idea...:smug:

I never realized this but the longer tubes are actually great! This way u can change your use from conduction to convection or both dunno whatever u like best. The shorter tubes will make your materials sit closer to the heating source which also heats up the tube itself prolly creating a conduction effect and at the same time convection. Also your fill will have something to do with this: fill it up a bit too much(almost full) or just how u like it will have a full conduction effect. This is actually nice for people who like this or the other :). Let me explain further.
The longer tubes are more convection then since they make the materials sit further from the heating source if you dont fill it up all the way (But u can do the exact same thing as with the shorter tubes just fill them up for more conduction but then i find the part that is closer to the screen doesnt vaporize that well it leaves less spent specs i guess its also a combo of conduction/convection then hey alot of options). halfway is more then enough, then u can also play a little with the temperature for the effect that is best suited for your needs.
Maybe some of you allrdy figured this out but for me today was my find hehe. awesome stuff there are many sides to this aparatus.

This is a great point!

As Tweek pointed out, you can partially fill a deep stem and leave some headroom. Leaving some space from the heat exchanger allows for slower more controlled heating. You can really creep up on on your preferred temp without worrying about charring.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I use the shallowest stem possible for concentrates. Sometimes I even move the screen out of the ring and push it closer to the end of the stem for the highest possible temps.

Is there any new info about the glass/kits or an eta? I was about to "pull the trigger" (heyyo) on one of these, but now I am kinda holding out for updates.

What are you waiting for? Looks to me like it's up!

Between the new lock-on kit, the colorful stems, the new gong stem, and the deep stem… This vape is becoming very well rounded-out with accessories! I'm finding myself wanting one more and more.

nopartofme,
Very nice. Any update on the glass screen?

Ooooooh...lock-on kit with two new stems on sale for $9.99 with $3.00 shipping.

Yoink!

Yep, the new stuff was actually up on the site yesterday, but we needed to finalize a few things before we officially let people know it was ready to go.

There are several new additions we are SUPER excited to share. I'll detail them below, but first I wanted to mention that the product page for the Hammer now has a drop down that lets you add optional accessories as an upgrade when you purchase the Hammer. You can still get the standard Hammer for $119.99 but you can now add the Lock-On Kit & Stems, Extra Deep Stems, GonG Stem or Premium Accessory Bundle (includes the Lock-On Kit & Stems, GonG Stem and extra screens) to your Hammer as an upgrade without having to add them to your cart as separate items. If you choose any of the optional accessories that includes a Lock-On Kit, it will come pre-installed on your Hammer.

If you are NOT a current Hammer owner and interested in picking one up, make sure you get it at the private FC special price page at http://www.thehammervaporizer.com/products/hammer-vaporizer-special.

Ok, so let's talk get into the new stuff...

Lock-On Kit & Stems

This accessory transforms the Hammer into a one-handed vaporizer. The Lock-On "Kit" itself includes two parts to install on the Hammer, an o-ring and high-temp rubber gasket. The o-ring simply works as a stopper to hold the gasket in place, while the gasket will make it so any compatible stem will "lock-on" to the Hammer while in use. It only takes a minute or so to install, and once it's in place you will be able to use the Hammer with any of our new Lock-On Compatible Stems.

Below is a video David did that shows how to install the Lock-On Kit and use it with the new Lock-On Stem.

The Lock-On Stems are quite a bit larger than the Original Stems, as David demonstrates in the video, so they are also great for those that are looking for a bigger bowl that holds more material.

The Lock-On Kit & Stems is available for $9.99 (+ $3 shipping) as an introductory price for all of you current Hammer owners that want to upgrade or can be added on to new Hammer Vaporizer purchases for $10 and will come pre-installed.

Custom Stems

The Custom Stems Collection for the Hammer are a series of unique handblown glass stems that are designed work with the Lock-On Kit (which is also included with purchase of any Custom Stem) so you will need to install the parts as demonstrated in the video prior to using it.

These are one-off designs and once a design has been purchased, it will no longer be available. If you see a Custom Stem you like, we suggest grabbing it before someone else does. There are currently 16 designs available, but we will continue to add new Custom Stems on a regular basis.

The Custom Stems vary in price from $29.99 to $44.99 depending on the complexity of the design and materials used. Some of them take longer to create and use more expensive glass color combinations, so they are priced higher. The $3 shipping option is available for these as well.

NEW Glass-on-Glass Stem

The original GonG Stem has been replaced by the new Lock-On Compatible GonG Stem. It includes a Lock-On Kit as well, so now you can simply load up the GonG stem, lock it on to the Hammer and put it down into any 14mm female fitting. When your done inhaling, just lift the Hammer back up and the GonG Stem will come up with it.

This makes it even easier to use the Hammer with your favorite glass pieces and creates a perfect seal for better vapor production. If you own a piece with a 14mm fitting, this is really a must have accessory as it one of the fastest and easiest ways on the market to vaporize with your own glass pieces.

It's available for $19.99 (+ $3 shipping) or as a $20 optional upgrade with new Hammer purchases.

Premium Accessory Bundle

The Premium Accessory Bundle combines the Lock-On Kit & Stems, Glass-on-Glass Stem and a 10 Pack of Screen for the discounted price of $39.99. You also get 2 sets of Lock-On Kit parts. It's available as an optional upgrade with new Hammer purchases as well.

The Original Stems will continue to be included with the Hammer and will work even with the Lock-On-Kit installed, although they won't "lock-on". They are great to have around as backups or when you want to really conserve. The Extra Deep Stems will continue to be available as well but they are also not "lock-on" compatible and hold a similar amount of material as the new Lock-On Stems, so might be phased out eventually.

Alright, I think that covers everything. We really think the Lock-On Kit and Custom Stems are game changers for the Hammer that make it even easier to use and a give you the option to personalized your Hammer. As always though, we love to get feedback from everyone here at FC to help us to continue to improve and evolve. Please let us know if you have any thoughts, questions, comments, etc.

Until next time... Hammer on my friends!

Just dropping by to say that the Hammer has been sent up to the top of my portable flower vape list! My best friends invited me to go camping up at the foot of the Sierras. Being in the wilderness is obviously going to be a bit of a problem with my electric vapes, but from what I've seen, the Hammer is is the ticket for the trip. Thank goodness the trip is still a few months out, I'll have enough time to get back on my feet from the hospital (again) and might end up buying a bunch of extras.

Have you considered making a stem with a metal bowl and wooden body? I love the durability of the actual unit, but the stems are what I would have to pay attention to. Obviously metal will heat up as well so I will need to remember that, but it would give me some more peace of mind knowing a fumble out in the bush won't cut it short (alyhough I'll take a few extra stems anyways.) Also, do you have a GonG adapter made for male joints? I've got a direct inject oil rig that I run my vapes through is why I'm asking. Excellent idea with the locking kit, too.

Thanks for your time, I'm looking forward to your new custom-blown stems and any improvemenrs :peace:

That sounds like a ton of fun, and exactly the sort of thing I have in mind when I think about buying one of these. It seems it would be a fine companion for wanderlust out here in Appalachia.

Best wishes in your recovery. :peace:

So now that I've had a second to look through the selection better, I can't believe you guys don't have more attention!

It's looking like the logical move here will be going for the cheap water piece and the lock-on GonG.

Is that some slyme? I LOVE slyme-worked pieces! The price does not seem to be too high, with consideration to the fact that this is a startup.

Can't imagine how pretty it'll color once the resin starts building up on it :)

Hey Guys,
I am always lurking around this thread as I am a very happy hammer owner and thought I would share my new stem. This is a wood stem for the new lock-on system, so if you don't have that already you should get it as it is AWESOME. Anyways, I walk around the Chicago Loop alot at work and love the hammer but felt kind of like a junky every time I pulled that long glass stem out. So, first thing I did was take a glass cutter to the glass stem and lop it down to about 2.5 inches. WOW, this thing heats up faster, stays on great, and is WAY stealthier (kind of hot on the lips though). Well, I dropped it onto the street and it broke. SOO, I set out to make a little more durable version of the stem, as when I am not in the city streets I am playing in nature. (It is a good ying and yang scenario :) After several tries of getting the right diameter on stuff, these guys are a perfect fit and seal to the lock-on wonderfully. The wood also keeps the temperature way down on the lips so you can keep puffin. One other thing I found is that I can fill this thing up (about the size of the new lock-on glass stem bowl) put it on the hammer and throw it in my coat pocket all day without worry. Turns out this little device is great for a quick 1-3 hits then back in the pocket OR a long session to really medicate. Anyways, enough rambling.... What do you think?

You should try posting the image again, it failed.

I am very interested in this sort of thing.

I would like to know how you made it and physical dimensions if you would.
I can't seem to get my photobucket pictures to work..... any suggestions?

Find the 'direct' link, and use that for the image, or use another service like postimage, which won't try to steal your images. (If you read photobucket's EULA, they say anything you upload is theirs)
