Used to use the whip and occassional bag at 210-220, but just switched to a water bong/perc and now start at 225-230, and top out at 240. All my herbs are nicely browned evenly all over. I hit it until there is no more vapour and it seems like a .5g bowl is giving me many MANY hits...probably over 20, and they are all pretty decent thick clouds. With the water pipe it seems like the taste never goes bad.
Just experiment with temps to your liking. Some people like thin vapour with lots of flavour, me personally like thick vapour so I up the temp and then cool the vapour with the water/ice bong.

Definitely difference in the high based on temp... the more temp, more stone as you release more cannibinoids. So if you're at 170 you might feel it a bit, and higher temp you'll just feel in more, maybe in the body. That's more to do with the strains and whether sativa/indica though.

Crank the temp up, keep pulling vapour, stir, repeat, etc and you'll get it brown alright. Another thing that works REALLY well and gets the herb darker than i've ever seen is the FAN. Tried any speed around 230 and see how browned your herb gets.

I got an Extreme Q yesterday and so far I love it. However, I read on here that you can pack the elbow for a better hit.
I took the screen off the elbow, put it back on and when I went to take a hit I got all of my weed in my mouth! What do you guys do to block it from sucking up the tube into your mouth?? I feel like an idiot but I read the first 10 pages of this thread and didn't see anyone explain it.

Hi boss, you need to pack the herb directly into that srceen, but not too tight, but enough so it stays in when upside down.
IMO the elbow method is much better than using the cyclone bowl because the hits are much thicker.
So the screen has a bump on the back, it's bowl shaped, however the side that you would fill the bowl is facing down towards the cyclone bowl.

Could very well be the strain of herb, as that has most bearing in my opinion. But yes, you're right, if you want a lighter more uplifting heady high then stick to lower temps. If you wanna get blitzed, crank that puppy right up! I'm typically around 230C or so... anything much lower and I don't feel a thing, but I have super high tolerance cuz I enjoy daily.

My first post here, but I've been reading for quite a while now.
My extreme Q arrived 2 days ago. After reading many posts and reviews I decided this one was the best for me.
I havent been able to really use it yet (out of herb
) but today I tried the potpourri @ 50 degrees (C) like the manual suggested. While I was doing that I noticed some noise coming from inside the Q. (heating element if u ask me) It was making a really soft, but hearable (is that a word? 
) and it sounded like something was loose and ticking inside. After use I disconnected it and shook it (very gently!!) and it sounded like something really was loose (maybe broken?? 
)
So my question to you guys is.... is this normal? Is that ticking noise just the heater keeping itself @ temp? That's my guesse atleast, because getting to the right temp doesn't create any sound.
That ticking noise really has me worried! Perhaps damaged by shipping? Please let me know if it's normal or not..
Another thing i stumbled across.... where the hell do I keep all the parts after use ??
Do you guys have your homemade "stashbox" or something like that? I'm very curious how you guys do this. My idea... look for a small wooden box and put some foam inside and cut spaces out for the parts...
Maybe some photo's for inspiration ?

Well I am completely ready to take the vape plunge. I have done tons of lurking and reading here. After all of it I have decided to go with the Extreme Q as my first vape. But I have only one issue, Where to buy from.
I have been trying to make sort out the whole who has the warranty and authorized vs non-authorized dealers stuff. There are some good deals on ebay which say they carry the warranty, just not sure what to trust here.

I've been using the ExtremeQ almost daily for the past 2 months and I couldn't be happier. I use the bags exclusively so the vapour isn't as hard on my throat and lungs. I'm going to look into trying it with a bong when I have the cash.
Depending on the strain I usually start at 175C and slowly increase it depending on how thick the vapour is in the bag. I usually finish around 225-240C. I worry too much about extracting everything since the leftovers are put aside for butter extraction.
Ease of cleaning is probably my favourite thing about it after using the SSV for 1.5 years. I found it a pain to clean the wand (non-ground-glass) and then getting the screen back in. All the glass pieces for the Extreme are short and easy to clean with Q-tips and ISO. And the screen just drops right back in after.

I am very excited to order it. Kinda interested to try the herbal stuff too. It would be kinda nice to find a legal herb to help me sleep at night. I don't think I have read about anyones experience with the sample stuff that comes with it.
