Sorry to hear but no, the Air really gets me where i want.
I do long draws too and dont pack it too tight, even with low quality buds iam suprised, but i cant compare it to a desktop vape (maybe in future ).

While the Air does get me more stoned than I'd be combusting, compared to a desktop it's just night n day. I always thought my portable were getting me "there", til I found out "there" is astronomical with a nice desktop convection (my E-Nano).

I am about to order an Air, and am looking for recommendations about what accessories to include in the order.

The Air will sit on my table at home and be only used around the house and yard. No need for transporting nor stealth. I'll be only be vaping ground MMJ, no oils or concentrates.

Since I usually have several strains of herb in my fridge, it would be nice to have some pre-loads available. What size cups are appropriate? ... I have caps that fit AA batteries.

Before getting my Air I was thinking that I would really need an external charger but I have not felt the need yet. That being said I do have 3 batteries and the car charger as well though I don't really need quite that backup it appears. I am a huge fan of using screens especially with the short draw of the Air stems. So extra stems,screens and a battery will get you going for sure. It's so easy to load from a grinder that I can't speak to preloads. As I sometimes leave a stem loaded for my wife it forced me to make a small wood base to keep the little bastard from rolling right off the table. I bet future models may have a facet or two to stop the roll. Oh and the lid did not survive the first day ( no matter) and I immediately hated the condom but that's just my opinion, the main thing is that it works great and delivers the goods. Enjoy!

Used it today. Has a pretty restrictive airflow. Any tips on how to get that good rip? Reminds me of the thermovape t1 I had. Lost the top that shut the lid already. Pretty happy with it. Also have a pinnacle hydrotube so will try it out with that later.

If you want more airflow ...pull the stem out a millimeter. Best rip for me is slow & easy

Yes, but I was the same before I quit combusting Used to smoke two in a row often, more too.
But I will say when I gave up and started vaping, when I felt it wasn't working I used to tell myself "if it's not doing it for you, hit it again"
Fast forward to now I'm using Air stems in my Solo (don't have an Air) but in an extremely efficient manner by balancing a custom screen inside, so I'm no stranger to reloading two, three times in a row now, and I love it!! Because I'm in control and as somebody pointed out you could get more fresh hits this way, that "new load" taste again mmm!!
Those screens you're using cut down the material used, you think this is reducing the effect?
Sometimes I wonder if I was doing full bowls all the time, would one knock me out more, or would the extra material just be wastage. I'll have to do some experiments soon.
But these tiny amounts are really doing it for me, one, two at a time, all night, depending on the situation. It kind of mimics my usage before I quit smoking.
I'll have to up load pics of my bowl size soon.

I don't have an Air but have experience with Air stems in a Solo (similar thing).
The Air seems to come with everything required for the uses you mentioned,
except, as @Threefingerlid mentioned, screens! Straight or domed, it's up to you. I like Extra fine ones from PV and I custom dome fit them.
Also that's a great point he has about the ease of loading from say a grinder, or I use a Blackleaf tin with a snap lid.

The best system I find for pre-packing and general glass stem handling, storage and use is the correct size Solo/Air caps, paired with the PET carry tubes as sold by PV, although you may find the tubes too bulky for your needs? It does keep them a little safer.
Also, I might recommend opting for heatproof caps, because (apparently) you can put them on a hot stem, and it covers the hot part and might allow you to place it somewhere and generally end your session a bit more cleanly.
I didn't opt for heatproof and now in certain situations I'm tired of waiting for a stem to cool down so I can be on my way to enjoy my buzz!
This is fine at home because you can invent a stand for hot stems, but if you want to come in from the yard like normal you'll have to either, leave the stem in the Air,
cap it with heat proof cap, or stand there like a clown waving your stem around in the cool breeze or blowing at it.
Also leaving hot glass lying around in makeshift stands is ok unless there's other folk around, in which case its a good idea to have things capped and tubed when not in use!
See what you think will suit you.
For all those different strains I can imagine a few capped stems in some kind of nail clipper wallet/pencil case type thing!
Enjoy, I think I will defo buy an Air too within the next year or two! They represent great value for money.

This is true! And preload is good for stealth, or also maybe if it's very windy outdoors.
Or multi strains as mentioned above!

As I sometimes leave a stem loaded for my wife it forced me to make a small wood base to keep the little bastard from rolling right off the table.

We'll have to share pics of all these stem stands/rests one day!
I use a hose bracket from inside a washing machine for mine, or another great one I've found is the simple wingnut. Great for holding a hot stem off your table!!

Is it the case with the Air, that if you loosen up the area where the stem seals, over time and using oversize stems etc, there'll be better airflow?
Perhaps not as I heard there are around three points of contact with seals in the Air where there's only one on the Solo.
Either way, the Pvhes stuff will most likely do the trick!

Yes, all stems, or "aroma tubes" as they're called there, can be capped and my caps do fit an AA battery, I just tried!
Those are the tipped ones they are quite nice I have the longer 70mm one, I thought the shorter 60mm one might make things hotter, some love the all glass ones too.
I think you get one of each nowadays in the box with the Air (total of 2 or 3 come supplied with it?)
Solo stems will work for Air too, saw somebody recommending a bent solo stem for new Air owner just back up there a bit.

Half inch (nominal) vinyl caps are 'right'. I cut the bowl covers in half (scissors after flattening) to make it easier to put on and off. I also but a piece of silicone tube (1/2 OD, 3/8 ID) in a full size cap to cover the MP end to control dirt/dust and smell.

I'm with you there. I have a spare which I've used once (tested a time or two as well). Otherwise I charge in the Air as I would with a fixed battery vape. Some might find such 'battery discipline' an issue, it comes naturally to me I guess. I manage to not get stranded out of gas in my car any more as well, although years ago when Diesel was hard to find for passenger cars I carried a gallon in my Rabbit......

I find it easier to keep track of charge than pack a spare battery around and recharge in a stand alone charger. Others might find otherwise? Nice that Air offers such options I think.

They looked a little different in the web page photo and someone in the comment section noted that they were softer (less heat resistant) so I placed my order without them. I'm living on the edge 'cause my AA will lose a lot of it functionality if I lose my second and last stem cap.

Yeah. That nano will get you. I don't (can't) do 'sessions' on the nano. One hit and done. My AA however lets me enjoy a brief session before I need to walk away.

Not that anyone asked. But the AA beats the nano flavor wise. Hands down. IMO of course. Lots and lots of variables. Not knocking the nano, which is my preference when I'm able to employ its services. Just giving the Air its props. I'm always very pleasantly surprised by the first few hits on it. Flavor city.

Flavor and taste are very subjective. I'm glad you added IMO @GetLeft. I agree the AA is a wonderful vaping tool. A nice portable to have on hand when the need arises.

I was searching through DHgate the other day. I like buying their knock off glass pieces but they sell knock off vaporizers too. I would tell others to avoid any knock off vaporizers. They are junk and you would be out your $. I would assume these vaporizers would be toast in no time. Make sure you buy your vaporizing units from a reputable vendor. If the price is too cheap it's probably a knock off.

this is one of the benefits to me as well. I get hit hard and quick smoking and with a nano on high...

Ha, yes, the nano will definitely get you. I find the first hit of the Air, that nice nice thick sweet flavor, to be more satisfactory than the Nano. With that said, every other remaining hit from the Air I find doesn't compete with the Nano if using a stem. Water is a different story, but I love that full convection, full glass taste of the Nano...But Goddam, that first Air hit is absolutely overwhelming with flavor, it almost made me sick my first time, coated my entire mouth, even on the inhale, without even tasting my tongue. And then...the exhale, mmmm.

Alas! I have done these experiments (subjectively)! haha.
For the purpose of this, let's assume a domed screen is exactly 50% of a regular bowl (altho it seems even less than that).

I find that because the domed screens creates a thinner level of bud, the heat has a better chance of extracting all that it can from that thinner layer. If using the flat screens (full bowl), you'll sometimes (or at least I do) notice that the bottom layer of the herb farthest from the heater is the lightest, even if not by much. This is still enough for me to realize that the heat isn't fully reaching past all that herb to hit the bits in the end.

Personal Experience: Two domes bowls will always get me feeling better than one full sized bowl. Plus...who wants to turn down, as you mentioned, that fresh stem flavor.

because sometimes i dont want to wait the full 2,5 hours just for a last session at the evening.

I can get up to 5-10 hits like this out of half a stem, plus another 5-10 almost as good.
Shred fine, dry! Dome screen, stock plastic tip stem. Green this time.
With the right lighting, you can really see what's going on vapor wise.

Your may want to consider a better quality charger such as the PowerEx MH-C9000 or the less expensive Opus BT-C3100 V2.2.

Using an intelligent charger and being able to control the charge current you can extend the lives of your batteries enough to justify the additional expense. Of course this opens the door for flashlights, remote controls, etc. too.

I kept getting little chunks sticking between the dome and glass, making it hard to empty without a pick. A flat screen seems to help with it. I couldn't get the screen any taller. 3/4 bowl is still good for me though.

use a small dowel (pencil) to flatten dome screen. You may have to pull it out once in a while and flatten from the inside a well (S&B brush works, or a small dowel, or AAA battery). I like to get the screen as flat a I can against the side, but still some gunk will build up. Clean often.

1/2 to 3/4 bowl vapes much better (without stirring) than a full bowl - IMHO

I used the mouthpiece end of the tipped stem. It worked pretty well. I'd like a taller one though. Maybe I can find a screen bigger then a half inch.
I agree a half bowl is great. I can get satisfying hits on blue.

I know a lot of people recommend the D020 D. I would like that kind of top down style of bubbler. Are there others though that people recommend?

I guess from the listing on DHGate its 18mm the actual hole that goes into the top of it. So shall I get a 18 to 14 converter?
