if i find my digi cam i can, but isn't really necessary,
i cut the pad in a circle for my tami. wouldn't stay in place, so i
have just been using it as a scrape up pad, not blowin' tane on it, thankfully.
just looked at it, definitely some sort of fiberous mesh in the center.
    thanks again guys

so im back to wishing OSP would make a medium size... or a few other sizes. or they should sell a pyrex dish with custom molded Oil Slick liner.

I got my slick ball yesterday, I am not really happy with it at all. The oil is really stuck to the sides I might just return it.

    How viscus is your oil?

I don't have an oil slick ball but I've noticed that drier oils don't stick to silicone whereas wetter, more runny oil sticks to silicone as bad as it does to anything else. That's my experience at least.

Pretty viscous but when you turn it upside down it would take a few minutes before it dripped.

Yeah that's about the consistency of mine, I posted earlier in this thread because I couldn't get my oil off of the slick pads. Needless to say I have gone back to scraping my glass dishes and storing my oil in glass.

I take back what I said, after checking on the ball that has been sitting in my cold room, it works just like the video, the oil was too warm I guess

A word of warning about iso runs on these pads. if you boil the iso at atmospheric pressure the pad will discolor in the green areas mostly turning a brownish color, this doesn't hurt the pad though, just it's looks.

Lol.. Good to know! I just placed my Amazon order for a lg pad(new version) and oil slick ball, solely based on the Amazon reviews! I currently only do qwiso runs but may be getting into bho in near future..

so on the teflon rolls anyone having problems with passthrough?? im having issues with qwiso/bho first time on larger runs of quite a bit coming through. Waxes/solvent.... never had a problem before im questioning if the weave got a bit relaxed in processing????

I noticed passthrough increases when the quantity of unpurged oil being worked increased. Ie, the smaller the run the less the passthrough. However I will comment that all of my bho has, been waxing as I have been using the sheets to purge for some time now. I tried my slick pad strait up last night. Perfect crispy chip! Snap a shard n bhomb. Perfect consitency!

Here's my setup for my first qwiso run with some abv. Returned .8 on first wash, ran out of time and didn't feel like washing abv a 2nd time, have done it before and can be a bit of a hassle for not that much more return IME..
The oil slick ball is awesome for transporting and storing oil, Nothing sticks to inside!! And no more covering glass dishes to keep dust off oil.
The Pad is awesome too.. I found that compiling the oil into a ball was much easier with this pad, then scraping glass pan with one blade only to have to scrape that with another blade to get off original tool.. No more purchasing straight edge razor blades means more cash for other goodies..

Anyone buy these off of eBay? They weren't available on amazon and eBay was the only place I could find them. Problem is I think they might be a bootleg version. It's already getting dark spots in it like it soaked up some oil. Cloudy almost. Anyone else experience this?

Nope, ordered mine off Amazon Tuesday, got them Thursday. Just soap and water to get any residual stains off

So we do not carry them in the shop yet, so I'm posting as FLskwat, but Josh and the awesome oil slick team sent me some new items they now have:

the mini slick balls & the slick stacks... They are both great as their closing and seal is much improved compared to the big ball + band.
Here's a picture for you guys to see what they look like:

You should check out the stack too: smaller volume, flat walls to cut easily etc... just my 2 cents. The minis come x 4, (the stacks x 3) with always a white one and a random set of colors, they are great if you have multiple strain concentrates.
The unbreakable air tight boxes that package both of those are pretty neat too IMO!
