I want to share some very good news for MV owners located in the USA.

I was having an issue with my TC MV, and I sent it in to our very own @stickstones for service.

he did a full heater replacement and firmware update, and shipped my unit back in less than a week! how's that for a turnaround??

the unit now performs flawlessly. all of the old issues are gone. fit and finish of the rebuilt unit is perfect. I'm really happy with the work.

so at least for people in the USA, there should be no more stress about unanswered emails, international shipping delays, etc. sticks has us covered for both MV sales and service. to people on the fence about buying an MV due to the quality control issues (which I believe are mostly in the past at this point anyway), don't worry about it. just buy from sticks and if there's a problem, he can fix your shit

edit: forgot to mention, the repair was done for free under warranty

Well, it has been a while now, and I still have not heared back from Jorge...

Seems like you guys in US are the lucky once hihi, (or not hihi in my case lol...dunno)...ended up spending some of my MiniVap funding on getting an enail, so I guess I will just waith and see if I end up getting a response.

It´s a bit of a shame that this beautiful machine lacks the proper customer service, I think it was a very very smart move to get stickstones on board. I would be more then willing to order from him, but I guess an extra kick in the ass from our dear friends at customs is the last thing I would want...

Still, I look forward to owning one of them(MiniVap, never owned a stickstones before) once more, but have decided to take a more laidback approach to it, no needs or wants, just time and peace lol

May we one day see the European equivalent of this stickstones species :ko:...

This is why I'm put off by the MV it's customer service in Europe, you guys in the states are secure with sticks doing servicing and maintenance but here in the UK or Europe in general I don't feel there is that presence to sort out any issues you might have.

FC Members should pool together money, buy Hermes, make the miniVap open source and enjoy the future.

Been dealing with Hermes again since May, after VaporNation ditched me and gave me Hermes' email.
After an initial contact, I got a quick response, but every other response took two weeks at least. Then nothing.
My last email, before we finally reached an agreement, was genuinely titled: "No Answer?" , followed by a small tirade about the fact they the ignored me again for weeks. Minutes later I got a reply. What?

Anyway, might be due to the language barrier, but that doesn't make up for the frustration caused by such a lackadaisical approach to selling their killer product.

Again, let's buy the company! Here are my :2c: to get started

I haven't dealt with warranty issues with Hermes directly, but just like every time I have ordered parts/accessories, including just recently (Sticks didn't have stock at the time of what I needed), they have shipped it to me over the pond to the USA so fast I couldn't believe it could actually get here that quick.

@Smknbudme too.
They also sent the flexi-accessories for free to early customers when they were produced. Fast shipping and for free.

I don't feel like bashing the company too much. It's aa nice thing they are still around IMHO. Because it could have easily been the contrary. They came out of nowhere with a 500$ vape and managed to sell it and still be around after 5 years.

Best , cheapest place to buy accessories for the MV in UK/Europe?

I need those silicone flexicone parts, so I can put a basket in it?
Thanks

It might be the case Hermes could be enjoying the selling process much more than warranty and after-sales-services... This is just my experience as customer and not only valid for Hermes.

At least you Americans don't have to deal with the very tiring warranty process anymore; I wish we could have someone like sticks here in Europe.
But my unit seems to perform much more consistent than before, I truly hope the quality issues with Hermes' suppliers had been worked out since the MV has really a well thought design. There where times I wanted to love this thing much more than all the other vapes out there. It's still the only true battery operated desktop vape imo and there isn't an alternative so far I guess.

in the last month Hermes has hired one or two people to help with the cs, so i would expect to see better service going forward. but still make allowances for any language barriers.

regardless of any miscommunications or cs issues, these are good people and i can attest to that.

Wait... what's this about U.S. warranty service?

I have to say, being able to service my MiniVAP in the U.S. would be a game changer. I'm still dealing with fallout from FedEx from when I sent my unit to Spain several months ago.

I'm getting giant clouds with just a direct pack..it seems that is the way to go with either core..I don't have the best of luck with the baskets..I can pack it and set to red and my herbs remain the same as they are in the basket so I see no conduction going on.

How long does it take your units to reach a stable red temp from a cold start? Time it for me, please.

Team NO SLEEP!
That is awesome! I am hoping to visit Haze sometime [at least with Scott:)] and would much prefer buy in person when that option is available.

Jorge got back to me. Can confirm a new customer service person has been hired so getting a reply for Europeans should not take any longer anymore then 48 hours.

Still working out details on getting my new unit. I might actually go to visit them.

That's great to hear they have got around now to sorting out seem extra staff members so people can get advice and support on any faults much more readily, maybe it's still worth looking into getting a minivap in the future, best get saving

I find that it takes about 3 full draws through the basket to bring the heat up to the herb. By the 4th hit, it's cloud city and the clouds are bigger than I can possibly take without coughing my brains out and this is with the teflon core on batteries.

But I like it!
I'm with @lwien - I can get nice fluffy clouds on blue. But this is appears to be strain dependent sometimes. But no cloudage doesn't mean a poor experience... Although I kinda thought it was when I first started vaping... then I realized I was absolutely ripped, so somehow something seemed to happen... :whoa:
