I am going to order from THC planet, i think. They have both the glass versions in stock as of now.

Yes, I think I will do boxes...I think that boxes will fit in the budget at $35 a piece...if you buy more then one, the rest I will do $30 on (the $5 is to cover the box, and I could probably stick several in one box...so I don't need to charge the $5 for everyone).

Hey, you may want to wait on that. I recently ordered a Vapocane from THC Planet and have yet to receive it. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I got an email saying it was being shipped that afternoon.

I emailed them Wednesday and they said there was a postal strike that lasted a few days. They also asked if I thought the package would have any problems with customs. I said I didn't think so; but what do I know? I figured EDIT ships to the States. But what if their packaging says THC Planet (I didn't think to ask at the time?

No... I would want a 14 mm glass one (the two links in my post above have them in stock). Does Azarius not sell them?

On the site, it has the glass 18mm in stock and has a metal screw on one that is 'out of stock'...those are the only two I have found.

The "Glass Vapo-bowl" is all glass except for the metal top. The "Metal Vapo-bowl" is completely metal, i think there seems to be some confusion bout this.

No, we have it all cleared up. The only problem is finding a site that has both in stock. THC Planet does, but I'm going to heed the warning above from Reece about them. I might send them an e-mail to see if their operations are back up and running smoothly.

As of right now, it looks like only the 18mm glass ones are available.

This place does have both, but the prices are substantially higher. If you guys are willing to pay a little more, I can crunch the numbers...but they are asking like $30 before shipping just for the piece.

EDIT: Plus a 19% tax of some sort. I'm not sure if I will order from here...I'm not sure I will be able to accommodate the 14mm guys.

EDIT: I just realized that what you linked me too is the vapo bowl + that little water pipe in the picture. That is why the price is a little higher (but actually since it includes the bowl and bong, a good deal, but I don't want to deal with all that glass I don't think.

EDIT (again): Yes, the sell it cheaper without the tool...its just a different link...crunching numbers now. That verdamper site isn't very good...I don't think i will order from their. They won't give me a price on shipping and I just don't get a very good feeling with that site. I will email them and see if they can quote me and what not.

European countries (maybe everywhere else but the US) includes their taxes in their selling price. You never have to calculate the tax, it will always be included in the price of the goods sold.

Okay, Andy from verdamp. gave me a quote on shipping. I still think I can bring them to your guys for right around $40 if that is okay with everyone. As i said before, if you buy multiples, the second (third, fourth, etc) will be discounted (slightly).

finch why are you ordering for other members? Is there a discount from the places for each one that you order? Like a group buy type of deal?

I am genuinely curious why it might be better to get one through you rather than on my own. I dont want to pass this deal up because as you can see Ive shown interest in this unit. I hope you dont take it the wrong way because if this group type of deal is the case id probably be interested in a 14mm one.

Thats true, never thought of that. They can all probably be shipped in 1 box from overseas. That makes sense.

It just combines the shipping. Look at it this way...

If a product costs 20 plus 10 shipping, it costs your $30.

But, if you order 2 pieces of the same product, the shipping remains the same. Instead of 2 items costing your $60, they cost you $50. Obviously, the more you order the more you save on shipping, which is why I need a decent amount of interest.

Here, we will use the vapo bowl as example. From verdamp. the vapo bowl costs roughly $18USD. The shipping on that is 30EURO. Yes, EURO. That comes out to about $40 shipping (although it is DHL international with insurance, so it is good shipping). So, for you the consumer, it will cost you roughly $60...which is still not a bad price for a vape like this, but that is a lot of money for this little guy.

If we do a group order, the shipping stays the same, which ultimately reduces the cost of the unit as the number of units goes up.

If we buy 5 units, it is $90 plus the $40 shipping. That is $130 for 5 pieces. This makes each vapo bowl $26! A little bit better of a price, yes?! If we order 10 pieces, it goes down to $22 a piece. So, you can see how it works.

Now keep in mind, if we do a group order, the payment will be for more then $26 or whatever the number is. I still have to pack and ship it to you guys...it won't be much but it will be some.

So long story short, if you do the group order, you save some money (especially if you want more then one vapo bowl), you don't have to deal with an international company and shipping (woo hoo...i do...). I emailed verdamp to see if we could get a bulk rate...which would save us even more!

When you figure everything out id probably be interested in a 14mm vapobowl. looking forawrd to more info.

Oh yes, no worries. It is just an opportunity to make it all work out. Everyone that wants a vapo bowl should get one, including me!

Yes, I am looking at after Christmas and probably even after New Years. I wanted to give people a chance to recoup from holiday spending. I know that this isn't an expensive item, but a lot of people are trying to really save right now, so I don't want to force anyone into rushing an extra expense.

However, I have said that if there was a strong enough interest (6 people or so) I will do the order sooner. Depending on how smooth the first order goes, I may do a second order. If I have any surplus, I will either sell them to friends, or sell them on here or ebay or something. If people are willing to commit, I will order as soon as I recieve payment from 6 people.

So the easiest way to determine...if you are willing to send paypal funds within the next three days post saying you'll do so. If we get to 6 people, I will order on Friday. If we don't get to six people, I'll be waiting 2-3 weeks.

Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out the best way for everyone to win.

Charlie, I got a question for ya...I know you said Bic lighters should only be used for back ups, but how well do they work? Reason I ask is becuase if I sell them to people, I want them to make sure they know what they are getting. If the jet lighter is a 10 on a scale of 1-10...what would a standard Bic be as far as overall usage?

You should change your intentions.

It works with a bic lighter, but it takes longer to heat up (more inhaling) than with a torch lighter. You can get a good torch lighter for like 3 bucks online (somebody posted a great link for these), so i suggest you atleast get something like that.

Its just better, not neccesary though. I have a big bong (over 2 ft) so it takes me a couple inhales to get through a whole hit if i use a bic with my vapo-bowl, one inhale with a torch(maybe 1 and half). I assume it won't be as big a deal for people with more average sized tubes.

whats the verdict, did you get 6 people? did i miss the order? if so, then i am sorry that i didn't respond earlier and i will hope that you will do another order later. otherwise, i can paypal you tomorrow, once you give me a total price you are comfortable with, including shipping, as i would rather not have to do multiple transactions!

No, there did not appear to be any interest at all really. I will be ordering early January I think. If we can get a nice group committed before that, then we might be able to consider a bigger order.
