Damn you, party liquor
The burly has landed along with the dynastash. Both are absolutely beautiful. Of course pics do no justice but I know you want to see them anyway.

@VapCap you went above and beyond on my order and I thank you. Time to enjoy this beautiful creation.
Cheers all!

George, I think I may write you in for president:clap::rockon::love:

Edit: also want to mention the rebuilt OG vapcap with the rubber mouthpiece fits into my dynastash with zero friction. It's actually easier to get out of the stash than it is the tube it came in.

Just checking in to say George has done a great job with the omnivap its beautiful and he has addressed the issues people have had with the airflow. The stock flow is perfect to me and no need to carb to get good clouds. It somewhat feels like the Arizer Air's flow but a little less restricted. Also it doesn't get hot ( pass the tip) after multiple cycles witch was a valid concern of many. Surprising because battery powered units get hotter than this even though this one uses a flame. Super impressed so far, its well worth the wait. Gotta try my burly stem later because I gotta be classy on Sunday cause I'm trashy the rest of the week:lol:.

you can see the material stuck to the inside condenser tube, and outer glass tube. in the pattern of the diffuser disk, so i assume some of it I must be inhaling, so the screen works perfect for stopping those fine particles. I use a fine grind as when the herbs are placed in a dugout such as the dynastash
or container they become dry and fine anyways.

After receiving my shipping notice, and waiting anxiously the past two days, I pulled my Burly out of the mailbox this afternoon, tried it out, and thought I should offer up my initial impressions.

It took about 5 heat cycles to completely eliminate the visible burnoff nasties, which was probably 2 more than it took with my Glassy. I heated it a few more times, just for good measure, then it was time to give this thing a try.

I loaded it about 80-90% full (no weight info, because I'm too impatient, and too A.D.D. to bother.......ooohhh, there's another shiny thing), unpacked, with some medium-to-fine ground material. There was little or no logic involved, but for some unknown reason I figured that would be a good starting point.

During the first heat cycle, the almost convection-like flavor (yes, I said "almost convection-like flavor") was partnered with a pretty decent cloud on the first two draws, and I even managed to eke out a third lesser draw before the cool-down click.

As expected, the second heat cycle provided even fuller clouds, and I think the Ti Burly treated me to superior flavor over the Glassy. Of course, with the second cycle, the flavor did ultimately lean toward being just a bit toasty, but in a good way....no nasty near-combustion flavor here.

After letting it sit for about 10 minutes, I tried a third cycle, and found that it had nothing left to give. The ABV came out a light brown, but it seemed to be spent. Aside from the relatively light color, I guess its no surprise that it was spent though, considering it was a small load. Upon further reflection, however, I realized it had fully cooled due to the 10-minute pause, so I wish I had tried heating it once more just to be sure it was done. Oh well, that'll have to wait till next time.

Personally, I prefer having a mouthpiece. Without one, the Burly didn't seem complete, so I used the one from my Glassy for this first round. I think I'll have to buy another mouthpiece from George, so my Glassy doesn't turn into a spare parts unit. Ideally, it'd be a mouthpiece that better compliments the burl wood, so I'm hoping an alternative is/becomes available. Have I missed anything about that in this thread?

Bottom line is that I think I might enjoy the Ti Burly even more than the OG Glassy, though time and further testing will be needed to be certain. For sure, though, I won't get any comments about the Burly looking like a crack pipe! It's a beautiful device, and can be carried proudly!

Also, I must say I'm pissed off about the OmniVap, only because I thought I might be buying a VAS cure when I ordered the Ti Burly. Damn it, George, knock it off!

EDIT: Trying it again, I've realized the good cloud on the first cycle occurred because I had heated it fairly close to the digger. This time around, heating it closer to the other end of the cap, there was much less vapor. Along with determining how tight to pack it, that'll be another thing to play around with.

Time for another update.

First off, THANK YOU! for helping me reach my goal on indiegogo in less than a day! It is obvious to me how important this community is considering 75% of the contributions came from here.

Next, my wife helped me start an instagram account under dynavap, so if you are interested I try to post a picture or two there everyday.

Also, as you have seen a few of the OmniVap betas have arrived into the hands of the patient testers. If it wasn't clear, the OmniVap is more than just a titanium stem on one of the titanium tips used for the Ti Woody or Ti Glassy. It has what I think is the first infinitely adjustable air/vapor ratio available on a battery free vaporizer. I dreamt up this design back in November, but didn't have the tooling or the drawings and several other things to make up a prototype. In order to make it work, I needed to have some new high precision parts machined, and if we are going to go through all that trouble, we might as well make them out of titanium. I will make a video showing specifically how it works, but here is the basic description.

The condenser tube is threaded into the new titanium mouthpiece. When the mouthpiece is twisted relative to the body, this either threads the condenser into or out of the mouthpiece. As the condenser tube then extends, or retracts into the tapered opening of the titanium tip, it functions like a needle valve. This allows for a simple way to dial in the air/vapor mix without the need to put your finger over the hole. It also still allows you to use the hole for the "power boost" when needed.
So now everyone can tune this little beauty exactly to their own personal preference for the way they like the strength of the vapor, as well as the draw resistance.

Hopefully this picture will help in the mean time. You can see the threaded condenser tube by it self as well as fully threaded into the mouthpiece and mostly threaded out.

I just listed the OmniVap in my shop for preorder. I hope to be comfortable enough with the beta testing in a week or so to schedule a production run. So if all goes well, these could be shipping mid April.

That's all for now.

Cheers,

George

Hola FC and George @VapCap
That was a fast IGG campaign. Congrats. Happy to be one of the first 5 to contribute. I have a question, I want to order the ER-DynaStasher in that beautiful dark blackish wood, can't remember the name, and I'd like to order all the guts of the OmniVap, ie: latest mods and tweaks to your Ti VapCap, but to be surrounded/covered by the matching dark blackish wood. Is that possible? I think I read modular somehwhere. Thanks in advance.
Stay vaped my friends...

The name of that dark wood is Wenge, really nice.

Wow! So excited to see those new Omnibeauties after a couple of days missing from the forum! It's already on my wish list together with the new stashes!!! Nice job George!!! Can't wait to test these babies!

I wonder how these new mouthpieces feel compared to the OG ones... Comfortable?

Guys, I just watched the last few vids in this thread showing Vapcap sessions and I have to tell you! The Vapcap can give you immensely better results if you alter your technic a little. The clouds you are getting are really small... :\ When I used the Vapcap like you do I nearly abandoned it cause I couldn't consider these good results.
Please try and use it with a closed carb if there is enough airflow so you can create suction with your mouth (not lungs) and draw like you would with a tight cigar or like a sucking kiss :whoa:... Slow puffs...
  • Heat with a single torch and medium to high flame in the middle of the cap with a really small angle so the flame points slightly to the outer end of the cap.
  • Close carb or place ring of silicon tube over it. I prefer the latter for ease of use. Carb always closed.
  • Do a slow suck/puff and open the mouth a little and draw some fresh air with the lungs. Slow puff again with the mouth and repeat a few times until lungs are ready to bust!
  • Exhale enormous clouds in the territory of a big Lotus or big Firefly or Volcano hit but with a heavier, punchier taste.
  • Three lung busting hits max with this heating and the ABV IS SPENT AND DOESN'T GET ANY NASTY TASTE TOWARDS THE END.
  • Of course you can heat closer to the end of the cap end go for more lower temp hits. I have managed 5-6 heating cycles this way. Tasty!!!
Just like with any good convection vape! I mean Crafty like ABV uniformity and extraction levels!
I hope I can shoot a video ssoon (sorry, no cam right now)...

With the OG's if the cap is too tight and you can't create enough suction with the mouth and with carb closed you can open the airflow a little by grinding the glass area under the cap with a sandpaper and by bending the cap a little. I think newer ones are already sanded? Sometimes it's too tight though so I don't know what can be done then... A Dremel maybe to make shallow grooves with like the PVHS Solo stems? I would love to see an OG Vapcap from George with thicker outer glass, narrower or stainless steel condenser and such grooves on the glass! Like the Ti's... Or even more grooves depending on the wanted airflow.
I hope Ti's have more airflow with those grooves of theirs, enough to use them like this. I am getting one soon hopefully and test it thoroughly. :brow:

Please try it guys! You will appreciate your Vapcap 10x more this way. This is a desktop killer in my book! :ko: Here lies the REAL MAGIC , thus spoke NF! :myday: :p

I don't have the og so I can't compare, I'm not even sure if your asking about the omni but the mouthpiece on the omnivap feels comfortable. The tapered part feels pretty natural, like where you would put your mouth on a cig or joint. It also helps keep it balanced in your mouth if not using your hands, again like a cig or j. I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of the Ti mouthpiece when I saw it, I liked the looks of the one I saw on the protype pics better. But the new design looks ok and I'm sure it functions way better than the protype given the heft and solid feel of titanium in your mouth:razz:

Brilliant design George!
Super simple, yet allows great versatility.
This little vape just keeps getting better and better.

@VapCap :
When you release these, will you make the tip/tube available on it's own? And will it retro-fit the woodies?

......

........

I too preferred the look of the proto' mouthpiece.
Seems more in keeping with the shape of the cap end.

Like you though I'd still happily buy it as it stands, the 'needle valve' design is beautifully conceived.

Oooops! Sorry for back to back, overexcited

Damn! Just saw the price of the OmniVap!!! 150$ for pre-order and 200$ retail price! Oh my! I guess it is logical since it will probably last a life time but damn! I was hoping to get it sooner but it's gonna have to wait a bit more for my love. :p

Yeah I did a double-take too. I was expecting it to come in at around $100 to $125. I was planning on preordering one right away, but now I'll have to think about it some more. The Ti Woody is looking much more attractive now... the one thing that might just push me over the edge to the Omnivap is the airflow control. Think I'll wait to hear some reports from the beta testers before I decide which way to go...

I am Finally getting the hang of my basic dynavap. I can hear clicks now- not sure why I couldn't for a while and I'm using it with water which helps a lot. I'd given up on the dynavap before George sent me a new one- now I'm a fan. I was going to get the omni but I think, even if it's worth the price, it's too expensive for me right now.

So for those of you with the woody- is the restriction a problem?

@little maggie, I have an OG Glassy and a Ti Woody/Burlly. Both are quite restricted when the hole(s) are covered. I don't find that to be a problem, as I "puff" by alternately covering and uncovering them.

I don't know that I could prove they work best that way, but my perception is that they do. However, I suspect that the Omnivap's controllable airflow would be an improvement, particularly when sharing with the untrained.

It seems that there will be two types of full titanium Vapcaps, right? The Omnivap and the Ti Titanium.
That's what I gather - because in the DynastashER video there is a different type of Titanium model. How much will the Ti Titanium cost? Will the Ti Titanium be the only one that is interchangeable with the wooden body or will the Omnivap also be interchangeable with the wood body?
The Omnivap is distinguishable by it's bowtie shaped mouthpiece and the body is half matte/textured. Why is it half matte/textured by the way? Will there be a Omnivap body that looks different, perhaps more like the other Titanium model (fully shiny with indented lines). The matte is alright, but I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing if it's more uniform.

I'm also wondering what the cleaning will be like on the Omnivap?
And, what parts of it Stainless steel? Questions questions questions....

Thanks. I didn't realize that I am supposed to cover the hole so I haven't had much restriction. If that's the correct method, I'll start covering.
