Had a social with @Ruta last nite, this morning, and I used his OG and twin jet lighter for the first time since the beginning of January. It's was a totally different kettle of fish compared to my Ti and triple jet. I managed at least 10 heat cycles. First 5/6 all flavorsome with wispy vapor production. Vapor production all the way to the 10th. Ruta used my new Olivewood stem and is even more determined to drop round and rip some wood up on the lathe.

@StormyPinkness I remember seeing it an age ago as well and thinking 'crack pipe' not for me and dismissing it. I then saw the Ti glassy/woody and thought I know where I can take this. It's now become a bit of an obsession. I have VCAS.

Thanks @Copacetic, yes they all taper down and contain a SS condenser tube just done a little differently to George's original set up.

Great stuff, they're lovely.
More questions!:
It that some sort of brass ferrule between the cap and the stem?
Or is it part of the cap?

I particularly like this piece PP, NICE!
What is the brass piece between the tip and the wood?
I can see from other pic's that the ends of your stems are capped in some way with brass too.
What function does the brass bit in the middle serve?

Edit:
Oops, sorry for B to B posts, in my defense........I'm dumb

I'm really loving the different flavor signature that the Ti tip and ceramic diffuser impart during use. Tastes really clean. Operation is somewhat different, as far as heating/cooling times. @VegNVape I recommend trying the Ti/Woodie if you you've been holding off due to the crack and a general satisfaction with the OG. I held off upgrading for way too long.
Hey rag, yeah I gathered it's gonna be quite an interesting change once I do finally crack on with the Ti Woody. But you're right, the O.G has been keeping me occupied & happy enough, so I thought that I'd tuck the Woody away to leave me with something to look forward to on a rainy day . . .

And it's good to hear that you think the upgrade is a worthwhile improvement in more ways other than just being stunningly beautiful cocobolo wood compared to glass & silicone. My O.G actually already has a ceramic diffuser, but I'm sure that the difference will still be very noticeable due to the Ti, and the variance in the carb hole size & draw flow resistance. And did I mention the wood? :brow:

I am excited to try it.

I would also like to thank George right now for contacting me recently to offer to send me a 'crown' for my cracked Woody - to try & keep it functional for as long as possible.

And he said that he would be offering the crowns to all O.G. Woody owners if they developed a similar issue.

Great to recieve a p.m. like that out of the blue. Great service

Thank you George.

And as if I even need to say this, but, we definitely need to see more Ti burlies!
They were seriously like :mmmm:

No joke.

Magnificent work George and Ed.

Keep it coming guys!

OK OK, so what is this SS condenser thing? Is that the brass looking section between the tip and wood?

Can we discuss purpose and then where you can get these? I don't care if it does anything other than make the woodie a little longer.

Are the condensors plug and play for the woodie?

Wouldn't 'heat exchanger' be a more accurate name/description of what the condenser tube does?

@BabyFacedFinster

I believe that air enters the intake hole, is sucked forward inside the outer tube towards the tip where it gathers warm vapor from the load cooking in the tip and is then sucked into the central 'condenser' tube where it loses some temp' due to the metal (or glass in the all glass model) being cooled by the cool air being drawn over it as described at the beginning of this explanation.
It is then breathed in.

Copacetic,

Andreaerdna

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
^ unless you are covering the air intake, most of the cooling is due to vapor mixing with fresh air in the condenser tube.
I also think that George made twisted condenser in order to facilitate this blend (air/vapor), it works so good chilling vapor that a lot of reclaim is produced on the wall of the condenser (this is why condenser?)

When you pull air thru the stem with the hole covered you are essentially drawing air thru the gaps between the cap and the Ti or glass. Thick vapor.
When the hole is open a pressure drop is created behind the screen which again pulls thru the gaps but this vapor is mixed with fresh air coming in thru the hole. Lighter vapor.

If you want any info on my stems please PM me rather than derail the thread. I am contemplating getting a business account and if I do will be posting an Ask FC thread with a full explanation of all that goes into my stems and asking for input from the ever increasing VC community. Please bear with me as my day yesterday was a full on mind fuk and today is proving to be a challenge in a different way. I will get back to you.

Greetings,

So, some awesome things happened today!

First off. A bunch of orders went out this morning. The box of them was actually heavy, and I thought it was funny considering my heaviest vaporizer is about 10 grams. There is another nice bunch going out tomorrow. I hope many of you now have that I know it is coming grin.

Next,
I received a few more prototype machined titanium parts for the upcoming OmniVap. More on that later.

I have also heard what some of you thought about my torches. (sorry about them, I don't build or design those....Yet :) ) So, effective today, all orders now receive an upgraded version. This one looks pretty good and has a nice shape to it, but I really like the linear flame design. When I saw this, I thought that could be really nice for even yet quick VapCap-ing.

So if you order one now or your order hasn't shipped yet, then this is your baby. They even come with a forever warranty.

I also have a quad

IMG_20160308_233222940_zps7mflkxiw.jpg

Yup, there is 4 of them in there. I like using these for testing as they heat faster.

IMG_20160308_232816802_zpsgvywd8fn.jpg

I hope to get the quads up in the shop before the weekend. It also looks like I will have some real premium lighters soon too.

And if that wasn't enough, another batch of @Ed's TnT treats is on the way along with the Burlies and a few goodies even I haven't seen yet. I will take more pictures of the Ti Burlies before they head out into the wilderness. I also hope to have another batch of those soon as the first ones sold out the first day! I can't believe that actually happened.
I thought if I ordered 10, I might sell 3 or 4 and then I would get to keep the rest (in inventory, but I get to look at them until they are sold) but no. I won't even get to admire Ed's work for but a few days until they are all fitted with their crowns, Ti tips and are on their way.

Huge thank you again to everyone in this community for all the support and kind words. It really motivates me to keep this thing going and keep the innovation and improvements coming.

More fun things coming soon.

Cheers,

George

Nice update vapcap good to see everything going swimmingly so far and the omni is close to completion. Those lighters look great as well the upgrade from the standard issue ones is good and kind gesture, mines still working fine but have back ups just in case, like the triple one myself nice and linear for heating caps on the go.

@VapCap I can cope with the 'I know it's coming grin'. It's the tracking dance that got to me. Checking and re-checking, swearing as it looked like it was going backwards and then worse still when it landed in the UK. Plenty of 'where the fuk is it?' and scowling at the poor postie. Hence my request this time. Don't tell me.

I wasn't surprised the Burlies sold out as quick as they did. I can see every burl order placed with @Ed's TnT selling out before you receive them. As Ed knows fotos of wood are all well and good but they look so much better when in hand, especially burls. Hypnotic.

This is exciting stuff:popcorn:

What's an Omnivap? :ninja:

Someone posted a photo sometimes ago if I remember, I searched for it but didn't find it. It is the all Ti vapcap, unless I misread the thing

And it is gorgeous, I am in line for the first batch of prototypes and even if I still am only dreaming of it, I can say it is really gorgeous.

in your' "buying order" you mention that you've got both the Lotus and the Vapman classic. Which do you prefer and why?

I like both for different situations.

Home big grassy convectives hits through water with lotus (nano backup)

More stealthy dry ones, home and outside with vapman.

if I must chose only one: VM, for sure it got much more use (until I get in using vapcap so now they both are rarely used).

Also if you are concerned with healthy stuff, there are some nikel fumes coming out while using lotus (not very much but still) while with vapman you can inhale some wood charring (the middle section can become very hot and char a little).

Good morning, @VapCap wow glad I was able to get those added pieces to you in such a time, I figured the Amboyna would do well, glad to hear they wont be there long. Never had any doubt they would do well, funny to hear you thought you may do a few here and there!

@phattpiggie You know wood to bro, its so hard to really shoot these pieces and try to catch their figure, everything has to be just right and even then the pic still doesnt do the piece justice, they are mesmerizing at times!

Cant wait to hear what you think George and everyone else, really look forward to all the future posts. I dont get much time to pop in here or there, tough finding time period TBH for anything, pls do tag me to keep me up to speed pls when posting whether you have likes/dislikes Id like to be aware yall, thanks!

I've already got a VapMan and I use it as my 'desk top', in that, it's hooked up to my MFLB Orbiter. I like the look of the Lotus but it's not available in Canada (that I know of).
