If you don't dumb it hot then you can just use the metal end of the brush and poke down to the bottom. You don't even need to move it. That is usually enough to loosen it. Turn it over give it a bang and it should all or almost all come out. If not then use the poker to get the rest and the brush if you want to.

You can use a q-tip with iso to clean the chamber but I do it upside down as not to get any excess iso beyond where it belongs but if you don't soak the q you can do it either way. I usually do a few burns first to make it easier.

If you are finding loose grinds coming out you might not have banged the bottom like a ketchup bottle while the lid is held open.

Ok. I want to want to buy this thing. It looks sort of cool but sort of dorkey too. But here's my take which must be wrong or something.
It either can or can't self-start in one's pocket (my Solo does that all the time in my pants pocket); it can be tough to empty unless you can find a stick, toothpick, jackhammer or whatever to get into the bowl; it has 3 batteries but only lasts an hour; it evenly vaporizes to nice brown; extremely 'settable' temp-wise; not huge and can fit in shirt pocket, although stem will stick up (unlike e.g. WispR where stem flexes into a compartment). Maybe closer to Iolite in how you use it and what you get out of it than to other electric devices like Solo etc? (And I have 3 Iolites so don't hate them too much. although they were early in my portables 'thing'.) So, what am I missing, and what niche does this fill that I'm not covering or seeing ... And I am seeing them for I believe under 140 USD on ebay, which is I think a great price for the market out there if legit and I presume it is legit.

For places that I would like to have my solo, but need more stealth (concert tailgate party in the parking lot for example). The unbreakable part is important in this scenario as well. It can easily be stashed in a pocket when discrescion is important (cops patrolling the aisles of pre-concert partiers.... I hate cops).

But it still can provide big hits and be passed around.

Is it a little bit of a pain to load and unload? Yes.

Is it that big of a deal? IMO No.

Edit: It can't self start in your pocket as it is a 2-step process to fire it up.

:peace:

It seems like you have a combo of what this vape would do. It won't start in your pocket because it has a slide switch and then a button you have to press. I did it once because I left the slide switch on by accident. That is way to hard to push on its own. I have never used an iolite but it seems to be the same type of deal cept no noise and no butane.

Also, the flexi stem is threaded so it can come off. It has a hidden storage compartment that none of my friends have had any luck finding. Even offered some $5 if they could find it but never had to pay up. It can do concentrates, although I haven't tried it with any.. yet. And it's a convection vaporizer which is the reason why you don't have to do any stirring/herb is evenly browned.

Well I think I am going to rely on you guys and go ahead and order. BUT - I am going to hold each and every one of you personally responsible for this decision! Thanks for the info.

That's OK. My real name is Stu. I'd really like to be BDV of course, but I don't have the legs for it and I look funny in pumps......or so I'm reliably told.

Let's face it, none of us cowboys are likely to use our real names when we come to town.......

MrNorml - you will really enjoy the DV - it hits like Ike Turner and is super easy to conceal. The build quality IMO is superb - I was really impressed the first time I held it.

mvapes you forgot to say as much as you love it the lid is a pita. I so wish is moved so it was easy to load and empty. If I am out I just throw out the ABV since you need room to bang the stuff out as not to have it fly all over the place. At home I try to do it into the mason jar but always lose some. The best way is on a tray. I would use it out all the time if that wasn't the case. I used the DV last night while my INH was charging/cleaning and I still love the DV.

I'm super pissed. I've owned the Da Vinci for less than a month and it just died on me. I tried charging it but the light doesn't even come on when I slide it up. I can't believe I spent so much money on a product that broke in less than a month. Let's see if it works tomorrow morning. If not I'll be giving them a call during my lunch break. I don't know if I even wanna keep this thing if there's a chance it'll break again.

Could you have discharged the battery beyond where it is suppose to? I don't know anything about batteries but I read that on other threads about I believe it was the lithium ions. I know we have a warranty so I would expect you will get a new one. Let us know. I would love to know if costumer service is good. I have only called once when I first got it long ago when it was first released to ask a question.

Bummer. AFAIK you're the first to ever have such a problem (everyone else is fighting taste, draw, battery life and other more subjective issues, not going dark). Makes giving advice kinda hard. Any chance you ran the battery dead flat? There's a protection board inside, just above the battery pack, perhaps it's locking you out? The charger could be dead/not plugged into a hot outlet? If it were mine, it'd be open now for sure......

Only think I can think of is a battery/protection circuit issue. I'd leave the slide switch up and the charger plugged in overnight and hope that trickles it back up enough to get running again?

Good luck, please let us know what happens? TIA

Still doesn't work. I had to roll a crappy joint to get high before my morning jog. Fuckin sucks. I really enjoy the damn thing which is what's most disappointing.

Bummer you don't have a better backup option. Some of us have LOTS of other vapes to fall back on.....

You didn't say, do you think you could have just run the battery into the mud and the charger is what's broken? What was the battery state when you last successfully used it?

Otherwise, sounds like the lot has to go back (better if only the charger....no contamination to worry about). If you know someone with 'a meter' it's easy to check the charger output.....

Something that works for me is to move the abv into the storage area while it's cooling down. Which is a bit annoying because that means instead of keeping extra bud in there it'll be on you, instead. But, getting it from the chamber to the storage is relatively easy and mess free and you get to keep your abv. Although, for awhile I kept my fresh bud in one of those cartridge things for concentrates in the storage compartment that way it didn't mix with abv, but it ended up being too much work for me.

I recommend enjoying herb after a run. I've heard exercising helps opens up your receptors. Always does me good.

Also, their customer service is amazing. I mailed mine off and had a new one 3 days later.. Didn't even have a warranty either! Definitely contact them.

Just call customer support and get it all fixed up.
Did that. Would've done it sooner if it wasn't for the time difference, haha.

The customer service was excellent. I spoke with a pleasant lady by the name of Jessica so mega props to her for her patience. They're shipping me a new one with some goodies.

One love to FC and the whole community. I really appreciate it guys!

Very well put. The best such service by far is the one you never need.

Interesting. Is this a real inverter, or just a pass through? That is does it charge normally from a 12.0 Volt battery?

TIA

I'm just the web guy, so that sort of technical stuff is over my head. I have emailed your inquiry to the engineering team.
