Now I'm not sure if i regret pulling the trigger and buying it so soon and without someone else reviewing it, but i wanted to take the chance of buying a new vape on the market that hasn't become a fad yet. I still feel it could be a great product no matter the warranty/if the idea was stolen and whatever else. Doesn't seem like anyone is gonna give the AR a fair shot, peoples minds are made up before anyone knows hows this product really is. O well, haters gonna hate but i will still review this item on Monday when i get it if anyone is still interested. I'm gonna stay optimistic until proved otherwise

@southernboy171 I for one am most interested to hear your review ;) :p

from your wording I assume you bought one but have not yet received it? anyway I look forward to your thoughts , feelings, likes dislikes and such.

to me it looks just as interesting as the TV, they are both american made and both have their own hand made heater's.

pictures would be great, if that is doable for you. what I want to see the most is the bowl, and if it as I see it in my head from the rep description.

    go you Pioneer Go!

Anyone still have THC Scientific's deleted link? I may be wrong but I don't think THC Scientific's deleted post was anything close to proof that the AtmosRaw is a knockoff. It was a link to Chinese knockoff vaporizers with the omicron logo and a statement of something along the lines of "isn't it funny how fast we're copied", was it not? By posting that here he wasn't even attempting to prove that the AtmosRaw is a knockoff, just insinuating it. Hence the delete.

I'd like to say its a little rude of posters to repeatedly spread false information or unsubstantiated accusations about an upcoming vape in the first few pages of it's thread... these first few pages are the first and maybe last posts people will read when coming here considering this vape from now on and they don't need to see bullshit that will wrongly effect their decision. :2c:

    You are right - MattyGTwenty3

I will clear my posts here since I seem to have been misinformed.

Anyone that wants to delete their quotes of my misinformed posts - please feel free.

This vape deserves a good review and some videos. I really wonder how it turns out.

Good point, it would be nice. I don't think it's all that likely though, tough questions from folks are sure to happen. Let's face it, after the treatment 'we' gave both the guys from Iolite that tried to help us out, I don't think they could be blamed for that, do you?

I too will be standing by while braver souls than I take the plunge and give us the low down.

OH southernboy171 *hollers out the window :p

where you at brother ? any updates on your order? u get it yet ?

one little thing I noticed (as I have revisited the AR website. take a look at the "spare parts" page, choose the heating chamber part the BLACK one shows the bowl end , the other two so the switch end.

and I think I may just have remembered it correctly , the bowl info that is, it being ceramic, somewhere around 1/2 inch to an inch deep , with a concave bottom , no "corners" not sure if that is right word. I don't know why but I like the idea of the bowl being ceramic, is not ceramic what gives the second cleanest ... um taste I suppose u'd call it? after glass of course.

if I picture it correctly in my head the bowl with screen and filter form an OVEN , as mentioned prior, and one that you could "re adjust the material by simply shaking it, as it can't go anywhere and remain loose. just me thinking.

I am excited about it. so much so that I am going to call them again tomorrow and write stuff down this timeand not try to remember it all lol. I will inform them of FC and invite them to join and share with us. try to clarify the Warranty first and for most, sorry that's just me and one of the sticking points I have about the TV, also it appears the AR utterly and completely decimates the TV into dust, on battery life, and this point as well is high on my list of desires of a product purchased, that suits my intended usage.

I still find it amazing that two similar vapes have come out AR and TV relatively close in time line, both have their own "in house" hand built heater chambers, both all American made. yet one seems to get all the the attention the TV. It baffles me, as the AR has appeal to me as well as the LB and TV.

I would not be the least bit surprised if the AR has really tasty draws due to the bowl material and the fact it has an auto shutoff , that should completely avoid over heating of unit or your herbs of choice.

not actually seen another portable that has caught my eye. besides the 3 mentioned if anyone knows of any other portables I should consider, please advise, thanks :) As, while I try to research my options, they always seem to lead to the e cig and juice and concentrate vaping gizmos and not so much units for DRY herb material. and boy are there a TON of them out there. no use for any such device.

I will post back and share info as accurately as I can, and hopefully the AR guys can stop in and share the detailed info everyone wants.

It should be here tomorrow pretty early because im only 30 min from the Atmos facility. But then i have to charge it for the initial 6 hour charge before i get to break it in, that 6 hours is gonna feel like a lifetime. I've never been the one to post a review so you guys just tell me what you wanna see/know and ill try to answer all the questions i can. If all goes right, tomorrow could be the first day of the rest of my life haha

sounds awesome man, thanks :) :) :) I very much look forward to it.

and hey from my understanding your initial charge time of 6 hours , will be cut down to 2 hours on subsequent charges. and get hour upon hour of usage out of that one charge not just one bowls worth. I could be TOTALLY wrong, so everyone, I don't need beat up about it if that is not the case.

I don't think anything has been confirmed yet, nobody has actually used this thing and posted about it. I like the idea behind this unit, but the faceless, lack of human interaction with the manufacturer is leaving a funny taste...

not enough info is available it don't seem at this time.

but in my very limited knowledge of 3 heat transfers, convection, conduction and radiation. is it possible for a vape to be more than one? I wonder about this one and the TV too, with the TV does the bowl get hot? I think so but don't know ... and with this AR , it is different in that is has a ceramic bowl instead of metal, but, it does have that spring that when assembled is going down into the bowl just not all the way to the bottom, and somewhere on the AR website it mentioned to NOT touch the spring after use as it gets hot. so is there conduction and convection, or radiation in either the TV or AR?

my guess is they are both convection vapes, but also there would be to a lesser degree conduction going on as well within the device. just a guess * see disclaimer above  ;)
Is it not conduction how the switch/starter pin heats the ceramic heater ? and then via your air moves the heat which is convection ???

I look forward to learning something today, as I KNOW there are folks with clear understanding of heat principles.

EDIT: As, promised, I just spoke to AR rep today and I can clear up, a few questions that were in my mind and i know minds of others.
    so

    1. the COMPLETE UNIT is covered for THREE Years. *including the heating chamber (SWEET)

    2. the "bowl" is ceramic and I did recall correctly, the bowl is like a soup bowl , meaning no holes for your herbs to fall through to the heater. me likey dis :brow:

    3. Charged battery should last 7 to 10 days, at @ 8 to 10 hits a day, or 70 to 80 hits on one charge. (double SWEET) *this is the type of battery life ALL portables should have.

    4. it is a CONVECTION vape. :)))
    VaporNinja ^^^^^

I'm more excited now then ever before!
as warranty and usage per battery charge are BIG determining factors , and in these area's things are looking very good :) MUCH MUCH better, than another vape I am considering buying,on both counts, by a country mile better!!! Now, we just have to hope the device works well. I really like that you can charge it by connecting battery to USB or wall outlet, as I have a USB solar charger that can now keep me vaping on extended camping trips. even has a light that will blink 5 times to tell you battery is needing charged.

I sure hope someone from AR can join this thread for their product. It's ALWAYS good to get the ins and out of a product "straight from the horses mouth" I don't want to misinform or misrepresent.

Have you made any attempt to contact them before you judged them faceless with no human interaction? Seems like everyone who called them found them very helpful and pleasant...

I don't think lack of participation in their week old FC thread classifies them as a cold faceless company, but maybe that's just me.

I was basing that on the videos they posted, all computer generated, no real images of the product being used and I searched youtube and found nothing for review vids or any other human interaction with the product. And no, I did not call them, I was basing that on the fact that other product threads seem to have at least SOME interaction with at least a rep of that company. I was not trying to say they were bad, it just wasn't making me feel very confident in buying the product with out more human interaction. If they took the time to post their product here on FC why is nobody around to answer questions?? and I never said they were cold, you added that part in there. Saying they are faceless is not an insult, its an observation. Have you seen anyone on here to help us? Have you seen actual videos of the product being used? Is it just me, or do people here seem to love to rip into other posters for every little comment. I am not here to argue over every little detail, I just want a portable vape that I can use, and count on working properly, with good customer interaction.
