The fact they used a female is not that big of a deal IMO. It's actually smart marketing...it appeals to a large part of the demographic. That being said, I don't really care if some members became smitten with "Leiana" it just would of been nice had the company's transparency extended to their past history.

It sounds to me like this Chris guy is a decent innovator/inventor, but a horrible businessman with (past) questionable ethics. Now that he's come clean, hopefully his new business partners can figure out a way to mitigate his negatives, while bringing his new vaporizer technology to market successfully. And hopefully this thread will remain open with or without them, just to keep that popcorn popping!

sad to say that a lot of vape businesses follow these same tactics, we probably haven't caught them yet?

I offered them one of the biggest glass companies around to produce all there glass, they even invited me to meet them and try out the versa, never heard back from them after all the Pm's.
that was my red flag.

Maybe. If he were a really good designer, I'd expect a lot fewer outstanding warranty claims. I suspect that this banning and the subsequent requests for refunds are a nasty disruption in Versa's cash flow.

I'm from the GTA. Anyone from this area (and far too many people who aren't) will understand how this image applies:

There is no reason to close this thread. We banned Vaporfection for the same offense, but the miVape and viVape threads are still open.

It still looks like an amazing vape if it can be backed by warranty and parts correctly.

This thread is even whackier and dare I say it more "fun" than that Fakexhale Cloud thread, here's hoping for similar results regarding at least receiving a working vape like many of the "victims" in that thread.

Not trying to be callous to those negatively affected by this...I try to appreciate life's absurdities, of which this one is classic.

I have a question for you Mister G as well as others who are proudly displaying the Infinity Beta Team logo in your sigs. Are you doing so because you are still on board with the program and feel that Versa deserves the marketing exposure?

I know my question is a bit loaded, but I can't think of another way to word it. Just curious.

I said that as you know lwien and have been asking it for a long time. All still sport the evo banner even when they got screwed. Maybe they sign a contract :shrug:. I will not sport any banner of any company even if doing a beta cause then I wouldn't be honest. If you haven't tried a vape and then honestly said what you think you are doing a deservice to this community. I know a lot here give good reviews to some vapes when they aren't warranted but to me that is just sad. I would not sell my pride, honesty and rep for a free or reduced price vape period.

Is it a requirement to display the logo in your sig to get a beta?

Yep I believe they deserve the exposure still. Until they prove otherwise I will keep doing so. They have shown me enough of the device to be satisfied. I have talked with them enough to believe their story. This is not my first beta. I have run a company so I can understand.

I'll answer your question, I'm just lazy....and at this point am I wearing it proudly or is it more like a Scarlet Letter?

Actually, I just don't know what to think yet. If they send me a unit next week like they say, I will use it and review it and tell everyone here the good and/or the bad, the badge reflects my state accurately as "unresolved". I am well within a 45 day PayPal dispute window as I joined the Beta late, and have not initiated a refund request with Versa or PP.

I am leaning on letting it go to next week and see what happens. If I get nothing and more run around, I will ask for refund. If receiving a shipment eliminates my ability for a PP dispute, so be it. If I completely lose out, get a useless vape or a nice one that breaks after a week of use then I have "taken one for the FC team".

Am I as suspicious as everyone else here that the unit will actually be of any quality considering all the information about shady practices? Duh, yes. Is the "safer heater swap" thing all BS excuse for more delay, who knows and yes, that's a big gamble. Could I use the money sunk on this for a much more reliable vape purchase? Of course!

So my short answer is I'm leaving the badge until I believe the book is closed on this for me personally. Some of you all may laugh and say "isn't all we've posted about this company enough to sway you? Do you really want to continue being a sucker?" I guess my answer is almost, and jury is still out for me.

Right now the only thing I'm going to trust is real world events like receiving or not receving a physical package next week. I do appreciate the staff here looking out for us, that is the mark of a fantastic community and I owe all my new vape knowledge to you guys here on FC. But right now I'm not trusting anybody's words about anything and exercising my option to wait with the the risks fully acknowledged.

Dreamer I'm not sure what your problem is but how did we get screwed? It said right on IGG that the Beta testing was for future products NOT EVO, what part of that do you not understand? The fact that we got to participate as we have been on the EVO is fantastic, yes SM changed things a couple times, trying to offer more not less, but I don't see how anyone got screwed by VXL at all, and yes we will be testing future products . . .

No it certainly was/is not a requirement and it has been only 24 hrs or so since we found out about this so give us a break. As of the last email I believe they have turned a corner, come clean, and are trying to do the right thing even offering to warranty the MW and incognito.

I apologize for denying my public affiliation with current and past endeavors and having people hide my identity. In terms of honesty, its good that my affiliation with Versa come out. We all deserve a chance to do right. I am a story of someone who had started a venture and had it go badly due to finances. I was young and it was my first business. I learned alot from the mistakes and understand they are all my own.

I wanted to see the products succeed based on their own merits & have anyone is affiliated with Versa not be clouded by a previous business failure. Before my business failed I had some of the best customer service you could find for an online vaporizer company. I offered a lifetime warranty because I really wanted to be there for life and the way things were going for me I had every motive to continue for the rest of my life.

The downfall
The downfall began when our last glass manufacturer thought I cursed him out on the phone saying I threatened to sue him. Only recently did I find out why I couldnt pick up my units. I dont even have the heart to sue someone so I could have never said that. Either way he his workers hold my parts when I went to pick them up and it destroyed our ability to continue because I had all my eggs in one basket. I didnt continue to pay for the web hosting and the email account was lost. I have learned alot about business from the road of hard knox. The main lesson learned was to never give up and stay in contact with those who are invested in your inventions.

A new positive outcome
However I am grateful for the suggestion by an FC member to offer old customers a new line of customer service and products to replace old units. I gladly take that opportunity to service those who may have been left without service by the previous business. If you or anyone you know owns a MW or Incognito that needs servicing please have them contact us @ cs1@versavapor.com

Final Words
Before today we didnt plan to affiliate ourselves with the old company but I realize it was a lapse of judgement on my part to not transfer my old customers to the new business infrastructure. The principals of what Versa stands for requires that we make great strides to stand behind our customers and it should have been implemented from the beginning. Thank you to those who are still giving the units a chance to speak for themselves. I can understand why this discrepancy would create some doubt and problems in the online community. I know our efforts to stand behind our products will write a new future for the reputation I may created in the past. Thank you.

I'm pissed off at all the lies. However, I'm willing to lose a few lousy bucks. Honestly, if it is junk I will throw it in the garbage and move on.

I generally don't post pictures or videos due to the fact that cannabis is highly illegal. However, I hope to post a video of myself blowing massive clouds on the versa by the end of the week.

That didn't sound nice and instead of assuming everybody who committed time and $$ to this discussion and vape, who had that Beta Team in their sig, is still doing it Proudly, is rather insulting and I think you knew it when you asked. After all that has gone down(and as fast as it happened), here, some may be fretting over other things right now, and just haven't rushed or forgot to remove their Pride Banners.

This company has done nothing wrong to me so I still consider myself a beta tester even if that means I get nothing. I have been a part of this thread from the begging and have now read up on the other thread from Chris's past failure. Yes this Chris made a shrill account and broke the rules at FC and was booted and FC found out he was part of this Versa company and they where banned. I really couldn't give a fuck, I break a rule/law everyday by using weed, this community even encourages breaking those rules/laws.

I see all these new faces posting to this thread and now making it uncomfortable for those that did get involved in this vape to post unless we follow the herd. No thank you, I will stick it out and report my findings and not just follow a witch hunt.

If all this was so obvious to so many not sure why I don't see those posts in the first 25pages.
