Discontinued The Sublimator

^You definitely have the stainless steel model, confirmed with your magnet test.

I think Vapodudule had a Ti-handle initially which is why we see the blue discoloration on it but on his new niddle as he calls it doesnt.

Right on. I wonder how much better the TI version will be.

A few pages back people were showin their set ups. This has been my go to lately.

The pull on a recycler is so perfect for the sub. Yum yum yummmy

I lost my c-ring that holds the teflon on the atomizer. This is a picture of my replacement ring. I used a paper clip to get another one on there. Works better than the c ring I originally had (lost it down the drain). If anyone has bought the iolite screens with 7 holes, it comes with 3 rings which I think with some pliers should do the same trick as well (no cutting to length necessary, just bend to shape and fit the 'ring' area on atomizer.)
hello, check out youtube sublimator atomiser c-clip,2 minute solution:)PTS1,2,3:)

I really doubt My ufo is Ti. the niddle is not because it is the neddle which was on the top of the minitube. The niddle i broke was the one on the ufo when i first had it I am pretty sure the discoloration is due to my torch or to repeated heating cycles.

Anyway the ufo setup i have is a part of my rocketted tolerance. The breakfast with ufo is hard punch. At first one pinch was enought, but now i ask for 3....Life is life, lalalalalalalala:clap:

@shredhead you have your unit sitting up so high isn't it top heavy? you could just get a female joint connecting to you recycler to minimize the extra height from all the adapters. Also that must be challenging to do a dab out of since the dab area is above your head

sublimate: double decker style Vs alone.

What do you guys prefer?

TBH, personally I find doing them alone is is my favourite method. That is, if i don't just do them off my Ti swing instead.

my reasoning is this. when i do a double decker, I can't really tell if the tube is getting any whiter than it already is when I do either component individually.

I also couldn't really discern a big difference in taste either. that kind of surprised me.

i would think that due to the different temp requirements you would always end compromising when doing double deckers. also, i would think that if the concentrate isn't hot enough it would plug up your second screen (if you use one) really quickly.

in order to maximize efficiency it might be best to do them alone. i do think the ufo might do a more effective job than the apollo at double deckers because you could create two different heat zones.

I have the 18mm Sub and a Blaze glass piece that I use with it. The Atomizer's Teflon ring does not sit snug in the Blaze's female 18mm joint. Does anyone else notice this with his 18mm Sub? And, has anyone found a way to remedy this (or is that even necessary)? Thanks.

I have the same issue with the 18mm version. It is a loose fit with any 18mm glass that I have. I wish they made it a little big wider, but that might cause it to expand too much and cause damage?

I have not noticed that too much air is leaking in during a hit, so I don't worry too much about it.

I usually crank the temp up a tad when i do sublimate only. but when i double decker, i stay at the herb temp as not to ruin the taste.

you are probably on to something there about the temp differences.

I find I have to clean the screen (2nd one) at least weekly. it plugs up fast, even without putting concentrates though it. I prefer my ti pad for concentrates it's my go to way for dabs I guess.

i put my double decker just south of normal oil temp, which is usually also just south of combustion. i find that heat drop from the oil keeps the herb at the perfect place and that any oil that doesn't get hit on initial draw falls into the herb and gets vaped away anyway.

Ya I'm just too lazy to buy a new adapter. It isnt too bad. Having the Y adapter actually levels things out. And dabs above my head ain't that bad, I usually sub off a table anyways.

Also gunna add that I do most sublimate hits alone with out herb. I find the taste is lost in double deckers. I only do a double decker once a day, and not even everyday.

I have the 14mm version, and use it with the blaze and a reducer bushing.
Well not much, but it's a super big hitter that way:science:.

Not much because I'm mainly preferring it dry these days for economy, simplicity, and flavors sake.

Anyways it sounds like it's working a bit better for me. The only flaw is that when I do use it with the blaze, I have to let the aab heat up in the launchtube anyways or I won't be getting it out of the bushing until it cools off.

If I had a ton of weed (and time) on my hands,
I would be cranking that blaze with my sub buddy reclaimer!
But I don't so I'm loving that launchtube...

Has anybody checked to see if the new reclaiming launchtube downstem is available à la carte?

Mine fits perfectly snug into my glass piece. Could be that the 18mm is longer on the glass pieces.

Thanks Stu. I have the same opinion about it not being that big of a deal. However, when one spends the money for a top-shelf vape, he wants it to work as close to perfect as possible.

I say grab a 14mm Teflon fitting and a reducer if you want a better seal. You'll be much happier. I never have to deal with stuck glass because it's always stuck on the reducer.

You would know best since you have it but for sure your old niddle was not stainless steel, I thought it was titanium since titanium does have a tendency to turn blue after some usage(my HMK ti-curve has turned blue over time).

Your avb must be very dark. Are you still able to find a use for it or is this just occasional?

my abv is like coffee. i haven't tried getting more actives out (although i have a few jars of the stuff). i like the sub for exactly that reason. i can get the bulk of the actives, unlike a lot of vapes that leave too much in the abv, for me.

i have used some lighty done abv in some edibles with good results (light golden with specks of green)
but like bob said .... most abv is thoroughly done. this is my preferred method, turning the sub up to a temp that gives me dark coffee like abv. Man...i cant wait to get my new apollo :)

Been Vapin

I used heavily vaped and subbed abv and made some butter that will give very strong body high. People that do not vape or smoke have eaten them and reported not being able to move for 12 hours while passing in and out of consciousness.

Used my torch technique to collect a bunch of orange looking sublimate from my glass. Dabs of sublimate and double deckers all damn day.

Just got home and hit some sublimate. Second hit tasted like orange jello. Amazing rips.

Enrico, please build sublimator mode, with the main purpose of being sublimation oil production. Some sort of condenser.

hello new 2 fuck combustion, luv this thread +of course the sublimator.oh my gosh:)tried 2 upload videos onto this thread, failed miserably:(there on you tube, sublimator atomiser c-clip,2 minute solution pts 1,2+3.might amuse..keep sublimating!

You can't upload videos to FC. You have to host them somewhere else, and Youtube is a good choice. Copy the "share" URL, click on the Media button (looks like film) then paste your URL in the pop-up box. Done.
