I have an eds stem and do get a kind of scratchy feeling when I insert and remove it from my solo. That being said though, there is no visible damage.
Here's an unrelated question. Whilst I await the much wanted pvhes gong adaptors I was thinking of shortening one of my current pvhes stems using my butane torch. Should it be a pretty simple heat up(a lot) then snap? Maybe mark it with a file first?

So my wonderful girlfriend has just told me she is gonna get me a solo for my birthday! Even better she offered to buy it today (even though my birthday isnt for a month)! Anyway I was going to get it from Randy and puffitup but they are now out of stock 
. I found one on ebay for a good price and they say they are an authorised dealer. Should I pull the trigger or wait for Randy to get some more in stock?

It looks like I'll be getting the same one you did, 154.95. I really want the black solo and Randy only has the silver in stock so it looks like this ebay seller will be getting out business. I cant wait for this thing to come! Ever since I ordered my Pax I have been wanting the solo more and more.
I do have a question about screens. I plan to use one in the stem but for people who say they use a second stem, do you put it at the end of the bowl or down the hole in the top near the heater?

i went from wanting a solo, to wanting a Pax, to wanting an INH, and then getting a solo. im convinced im not gonna be happy till i have more vapes than friends. ur question about the screens is a good one. i never thought to put it down the stem, but t could be a bitch trying to get it out.

I got the PAx as a replacement for a SSV that was on loan to me that was taken away. I do love the Pax but it didn't really fill that gap like I thought it would. The Solo, i believe, will be able to do exactly what I'm looking for, small loads so I can always have good flavor and efficientcy, which IMO the Pax cant do that well.
The one problem I see with the Solo is that now I'll need to get the many adapters (PVHES, GonG, and stealth) to make sure I have all the right tools!

Why didn't you just get it from PV(planetvape)? Then you could have got all the adapter you needed at the same time as well?

I actually haven't ordered it yet and I'll probably get it from a different site just to save some money. I'll probably space out getting the adapters. I know I want the GonG but until I try the stock stems and determine if I need the PVHES I'll hold off. Just the fact that they are out there though will make me itch.

i ordered the pvhes stem before i even got my solo. they should be here sometime next week. i wanted the stealth adapter also, but it was out of stock. as far as the gong adapter, glass on glass is best of course, but i has SO many connections and tubing and shit from other vapes, i can connect it to a no bong problem.

With all these new generation portable vapes out there or about to hit the streets I strongly believe it's time for Arizer to release the new and improved Solo that I am sure is already being developed or even tested by now. Not evolving the design even if it sells well (?) would be unwise from their part if they want to keep up with the comp. I am a great advocate of the Solo but if I don't see some size reduction and some passthrough micro USB thingy soon, I am leaving for the INH camp! Oh! And a bigger bowl too please while you are at it Arizer... Thanks for listening to the customers!

Oh stop it already and get the INH...you go through the vapor lung anyhow hehe. The best thing about the solo to me is the glass stem and efficiency of herb. One more thing and the reason why I got it, is it can be cleaned to no smell because of no silicone tubing. I suppose the mivape will be the same maybe.

I don't want a bigger bowl...I actually think the bowl size is perfect. I can do a full twelve mins on practically no herb and it is fine. I can even turn it on again and still extract more meds.

Fully Agree! though I think the price-quality ratio of the Solo is still by far the best of all vapes (Pax is pretty and stealth but needs more maintenance, vapor quality is less and the unit is double the price). The vape market is huge so it would be great if they invest some of the Solo I revenues in development of the Solo II.
Luckily Americans and Canadians are way more health conscious, 99.5% of Europe still smokes. Thanks to all you innovators!

Ok, I'm just asking for some changes because the other guys have moved ahead with their portables and they transform them slowly into I-can-do-it-all-little-marvels... I mean, the Solo happpens not to be the best portable home vape mainly because of not having a passthrough out of the box (not all can afford the other cable...) and not having a bigger bowl. And it's not the best on the road vape mainly because of the size. Yes it is what it is and it performs great but it can be so much more with a few key changes. Anyway, it's the only way they will keep their customers as competition grows IMHO.

Yeah, its pretty big and honestly its exactly what's needed for a solo usage... u can pack almost .2 at times but .14 can be fully packed as well and you can easily hold 2 sessions in a row...
If you need more than that, then I suggest you stop vaporizing for few days lol

I never measured, but it feels like Ed's stem holds almost twice as much as the stock stem.

Once again, I have no idea what you are talking about.
No harm is done, you might hear a sound that irritates your ears but nothing changes...the SS is strong and unaffected and the ring material is flexible.
I think some of you are "too" careful.

I've read some messages from this huge thread. Which is the last model M108 or M107 or other?
I'm thinking to sell my old model and buy the last one, but I don't know which model has a shop that I'll buy it. Are there important differences between models M106, M107 or M108? the flavour is similar in that models?

The latest models are M3D I think...
M107 was the last one in that format...I got a M107, its brilliant IMO and I've been using it for a while now everyday!
