Discontinued miVape by Vaporfection

Thanks for the tease...err...clip, rather. As a simple-minded, unfrozen caveman vaporist, I'm unsure whether to be excited or frightened by your magical handheld vaporization device. But...the one thing I do know is that I'm looking forward to making my own miVape vids!

I will own miVape in the future. If I come by a few extra Benjamins before they are officially released i will then pre-order.

Aaaahhhhh cant watch the video on my ipad!!! Is there any way someone can post it in the forum or on yutube or something?!?!! Also anyone thats seen the video do you lnow if it has the new upgrades they were talking about.?

I was told it's not. What we see in action is the last prototype they were working on before the annonced upgrades.

How do we even know that the action in the video was coming from the unit itself?

I could do the same video with a banana blowing out clouds.

It's called editing.

I want to see packing, heating, and drawing.

I too could hold enough vapor in my lungs.

Pretend I'm drawing from a banana and blow out a huge cloud.

Sorry for my skepticism, but i trust no one.

P.S. I'm not hating on the mivape.

I preordered a mivape last December but then cancelled it when it wasn't released.

I can't see Vaporfection wasting that much time on a false video when they waited so long to even release a video.

How much time could making a 2 minute video really take.

Whip out an iphone record, upload straight to youtube or whatever. Done

If i owned that company and wanted to make money.

I would of wasted a lot more time making a better video.

Understandable, I guess what I was saying is I trust Vaporfection to release something real or nothing (they seem to be a consistent and trustworthy company with a lot of backers), but you did mention earlier not trusting anyone so that would make sense.

Let's just hope that video was the first of many, but I wouldn't mind seeing it being loaded before usage and dumped after.

That was my point.

Most vape videos usually show them packing the device first.

Some say they are using mint or whatever. But at least they show packing it.

I'm sure the Vivape and Vivape 2 was the reason why the mivape was delayed a year.

Hi FC,

Glad you like the video. Sorry about the quality; I left the lighting cable from my new iPhone 5 and had to e-mail it to myself to cut the length.

This was just a short video to ease some skepticism, but it was of one of our prototypes (that we brought to champs). We wanted you all to be able to see the vapor, and that was the main focus of the video.

Once we have the real production units, we will begin the process of making complete demo videos.

If anyone is going to be in Los Angeles this weekend, Vaporfection will be at the Kush Expo in the 420 Medicating area so be sure to stop by and hang out with us! We should be bringing 1 or 2 working miVape demo units as well (but we have not confirmed yet).

I will definitely stop by your booth to check out the MiVape. Will you have a viVape for me to steal see as well?

Thanks for saying this - I was too worried about being torn apart by Team Vaporfection. You are completely right; that video showed no discernable proof that the unit itself was functional. Especially with the ViVape sitting right beside him...

Either way, if all goes according to plan, perhaps Stu will be able to get us what we want to see...

CentiZen - I can state with 100% certainty that Vaporfection hasn't ever "torn" any FC member (or potential customer) apart since they joined FC. Therefore, I can deduce you're referring to me and perhaps other FC folks that have explicitly defended the company based on our firsthand experience with their service and product (viVape). I'd argue I've never torn you or any other skeptic apart, but rather I've merely tried to inform based on my experience to help folks consider both sides of the coin or inform those who have formed opinions merely off of the fact that the miVape has been delayed, which again, I acknowledge is frustrating to some. But it's not an indication that Vaporfection is trying to fool anyone. Why would they do that, especially to FC members? I'd bet a large sac of herb that they're fully aware of how influential this forum is.

To other skeptics - please know I have zero issue with your skepticism (and even sarcasm) regarding the miVape and its efficacy, and that you have every right to post such comments, just as I would hope you'd have no issue with or jeers regarding my support of Vaporfection, which is the same support I give to other good vaporizer companies I've had the pleasure of doing business with (Vapexhale, Vapeworld, Ploom, The MFLB family, to name a few). But that some skepticism comes with a suggestion the company is being dishonest isn't right and in my view borders on attacking the company. Therefore, I comment to ensure other vaporists, especially newer ones, who are reading this thread get as much information as possible and aren't swayed by only one strong opinion/speculation/suggestion, be it positive or negative.

Stu - I'm very keen for your comments and confident in your objectivity, my vaping master. I'm stoked you'll get to attend. And if you're out in my area, you know two things: 1) you have a place to stay, and 2) a viVape to use as much as you want!

Added Thoughts:

I'm not trying to accuse Vaporfection of such practices.

But a company has to prove themselves to me first before i could trust them.

If i had a vivape like Vapinghole does. ( Which i did order right after the mivape was delayed last year. Then changed my mind and canceled it only because i didn't need / want a desktop vape.) Then maybe i would know how Vaporfection's products and customer service is.

I will always be a skeptic until proven otherwise.

Most folks on the forum will do the same as you, as I have done with other vapes, and that's a great thing about FC. Stu and/or SliM are great examples of FC members who've proven to be consistently objective, in my view, and are especially helpful for newer vaporists. I own a couple of prized possessions thanks those guys (Stu = VG Coil and SliM = Pax).

Well put. And as is the case with me. Vaporfection has proven themselves to me a number of times, hence my comments in their favor. I believe they've only been on FC for a short time, and in that case I realize it will take time to build credibility with all of us. I wish them the best, because if they succeed in making a kick-ass portable, then we all win!

This thing looks really cool - is it me or am I the only one who NEEDS to win the lottery, every-time I am satisfied with my collection something new comes along - I feel like a fucking Iphone owner!

I like the idea of this vape, but im also considering the pax. I decided to buy the one who will ship to Ireland first.

The pax is a fine vape.

Edit: I'm fortunate that I'll have both, eventually. I still have serious VAS. My wife is like, WTF?

Yea I'm basically waiting for this to come out to choose btwn this or the pax. It might be neither though I hope the mivapes lives up to expectations.

Well, I got to see and try out the mivape today at the Kush Expo. I met the Vaporfection guys and they seemed very cool, nice guys.



The unit definitely works. The vapor is cool, but had a taste of higher temp vapor. The taste was very similar to the DaVinci imo. Mind you this was only a prototype (only working prototype I believe) so it doesn't have the features or parts (specifically where the mouthpiece joins the unit) that the production units will have. The production unit will have a temp readout as well.

I think it looks promising, but I would really like to see how the production units perform before throwing down my cash. I was hoping for better taste, but the vapor path wasn't isolated enough imo from the unit using the prototype joint, so this could be resolved or improved with the production version.

I tried out the vivape as well. It gave good, tasty vapor, but I don't like the always on fan that makes you remove the herb between hits. But that's more of a personal preference issue.

Oh, and @Vapinghole... the guys said "whassup?"
