yes we kept the update and as more carts are produced they will have it. But now im not sure about the second generation carts keeping this update. We shall see.

Also taste test carts are 4.0

OK, that got a little scrambled from your brain to mine over Al Gore's internet. So old styles are disappearing and the new style will continue to fill the product stream until the release of the next generation which is still a ways off and might or might not include this blind ended tube change?

<Deep breath>

Then I got lost, I know the taste test carts are four Ohms.....did you mean me to understand that they are the new style?

Thanks once again, big guy.

Yes on first part.

No on the second, the taste test carts had the metal air tube on the bottom but are not the version 2 carts, that was finally assembled yesterday and being shipped out Monday.

That goes into testing soon as i get em. But it should take care of the leaks and clogs.

use pliers or tongs to hold the cart so you don't burn your fingers, or even a thick glove would work...you could also find a way to mount/clamp it to something and then heat it w/ blowdrier...a few ideas anyway...

I disagree...I think you need to hold on to the bottom of the cart with bare fingers as you gently heat the funnel and top 1/3 of the cart. Using your bare fingers ensures the temp stays where seals and electrics have zero chance of failure. I'm using a MAPP gas torch when I do this and I'm able to fill .8g with no issues while holding the cart. Leveraging time instead of effort in this case (wait for the oil to flow instead of heating it longer and hotter) works out in your benefit.

Then again...YMMV

Sorry boss i missed it can you pm me your issue and let me see if i can help.

Here's what I wrote earlier today:

Update. I checked my cartridge this morning and now there is a big blob of goo coming out of the bottom. Yesterday, I went to vaperpedia and did all the steps noted to get rid of a clog. I did hear popping sounds several times, but after all that the device heated up, but little or no vapor came out and now stuff is leaking out the other end. What steps should I next take???
Thanks!

Here's an addendum: after tons of priming and cleaning all the goo off of stuff with ISO and q tips, I got some vapor out of it this afternoon. Will try again later and see if it is still working.

shortwind,
Is THC online right now? I have a defective Omicron Original charger again. This time it lasted 2 months+... I filed a ticket yesterday no response, I take it no business on the weekends? In all still very happy with the product, the faulty charger has been the only negative.

Is it possible to weigh the cartridge?

Please check your spam or junk folder, we have a ticket system and if you submitted a ticket we should have gotten to it. If no response please provide me with a ticket number and ill see what happened.

not getting any real problems here either, occasional little primer 'pop' clog that clears up once I get it warm. Nothing serious.

Test all carts at 3.7v. That means with your Omicron or Persei with 18650 battery. With a 3ohm or higher you will need to feel for the heat rather than look down the air path for the glow.

in regards to 3 ohms and higher, simply feeling the heat does not signify a working cart. the wick down the tube needs to be functioning for the cart to be working properly. only way i know of to make sure the wick works is by looking down the tube for the red glow....

Go ahead and burn your carts out at 7.4v checking then....

I've tested a few carts not only for myself, but others too this way with great results. I have also burned out carts checking at 7.4v on accident and in the beginning. If it gets warm it will work.

thats simply not true.

edit: i never said to check at 7.4 volts. i just said you need to check for the red glow..... carts that are burnt out still get warm. i have received carts that never lit up from the start fwiw

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
As I understand it the newer pre-oxidized carts we tested are just entering the consumer stream. There are plenty of the older style around (I have several) that still need to be pre-oxidized per G's instructions.

Sinclue,
is this new cart going to be able to handle thinner oils like RS/co2/iso without leaking or clogging ???

I have adopted a similar method, I used to heat more aggressivly for a faster melt in but I'm using my torch still and coaxing it down. I add a few tenths of a gram at a time keeping my 5 ohm cart right around a half gram or slighly under and other than some clogging of the tube which clears easily enough I have no issues. My 2.4 cart clogs at the other end and clogs full. I'm not sure how much more use I'll get out of that cart now. My cart has gotten hot to the touch at the 1/3 point when filling though, not hot enough to burn but hot enough to be uncomfortable.

i have a 1.5 cart and a 2.4 cart how do you test them do they go bad ?

Carts will fail! The wicks can clog or the heating elements burn out. Voltage tests can tell you something if you have the equipment and understand those things. No vapor is a good indication that there is something wrong. If there's oil, a good battery and you're hitting it proper but getting no vapor.. I'd say cart.. But I'm new.

Cheers!

Indy.
