Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

I don't have much time, but it kind of looks like jareds mouthpiece is creating suction, on top of the issues you guys mentioned.

Good point, however as DubC says it's fairly normal and not a show stopper. It's separate from a leak except in the case where hot oil is left in the flue (center 'leak' in photo above, although it's not a leak really.....) so it can drain down through the heater and down the vent tube into the socket to make a mess and a real leak (where stuff comes out the bottom). I'd suggest switching to the soft mouthpiece until it's sorted out, I find they deal with lots of oil coming up the pipe a lot better. Have you guys seen this too?

As DubC says, if you can clear the oil from the flue (out the top and back into the tank) before it cools you should have not enough left to drain down and leak out.

I don't have any issues with the soft silicon tips at all, they do change a nasty color fairly quickly but no build up and they allow oil to come up the ceter tube and back into the reservoir. The Delrin tips create clogging problems in a new cart in just a few uses where the silicon tips can go through at least 4 refills of .5g with not a single clog for me and the clogs that come are more cart storage issues for me then anything to do with the tip.

Thanks, that was my thinking. The fancy tips are cool when everything else is under control, but for now using the soft one removes a bunch of potential problems.

Can you tell me how old the cart is? when and where it was purchased?

No big deal on the device, you're not the first or even half close to being a poster child. ISO and q-tips does it fine, watch for threads getting pulled out.

Be very gentle cleaning the vent tube, it's only maybe half an inch long and the heater sits crosswise at the end. Poke too hard and you'll kill it.

So looking at this pic, I can clean the Omicron V2 right on the actual device with rubbing alcohol and it won't damage it?

And in this picture the Omicron V2 is on the far right and again, I can put a Q-Tip with rubbing alcohol in here?

Just making sure, I don't want to put rubbing alcohol on the V2 and it doesn't work. Not sure if you guy's meant to clean the cartridges or the actual device out. It's leaking a lot more into my device now so I don't know what's going on.

What's the room temperature? When room temps get over 80 degrees it can cause leakage.

Don't pour it in, but some on a q-tip will take care of the oil and evaporate off. Best to use is 99%, but fairly hard to find. 91% is much more common, used in nail shops, check large drug stores. Also good for cleaning the cartridge ends. Handy stuff to have around, really.

For bigger cleaning jobs some folks collect the ISO and evaporate off the alcohol and vape the residue.

Yes you can use iso to clean and it wont damage it, just use a q-tip and it should be fine, also try loading .6 at a time, we are working on the clog/leak proof and it should be ready in 1.5 weeks.

Remove the cartridge and gently insert paper clip, or needle dipped in ISO alcohol into the bottom of the unit very gently until it hits resistance.

On the actual Omicron V2 or on the bottom of cartridge?

Repeat process with ISO needle on top of cartridge. Insert until it hits the heating element (much farther down than from the bottom) Then re-assemble unit and repeat priming procedure until cleared.

So top the cartridge for this, there is a tiny little hole big enough for a needle, then are holes around that tiny needle hole. I'm sorry I'm new to this so I'm not sure if I should actually put rubbing alcohol on my Omicron V2 not the Cartridge. I don't know if maybe alcohol will make the V2 not work anymore because it gets into the circuit and shorts it..I dunno just need an answer. Thanks!!

Jared you have to read our responses, You can take a iso dipped q-tip and wipe the inside of the screw on the omicron top, then take a dry q-tip and dry the screw. When you are done take a needle and insert it into the top of the cartridge in the air hole. this will clear away the clogs, do this multiple times.

Now on the bottom part, take the same needle and dip it in iso and insert it gently from the bottom, and i do mean gently and slowly, insert it about 1/8 of an inch or less, clear out the oil and you should be ready to go.

Tempting offer, but i have to decline, already got two. haha.

Two is one more than I can handle! My one and only seems to have the energy of 5 put together!

But back on topic, I have a question regarding the HVD... My plan is to buy a couple of extra 14250 batteries and run two configurations at the same time:

#1. Long tube with HVD top and 7.4v (2x 14250's).
#2. Short tube with the existing voltage limited top at 3.7v (single 14250).

Will this be possible with the kit as is, or will I need spacers or something else?

Thanks G, you and your business are first class!

I will let you know soon, did not check weather this can be done to operate two at once.

hahah poor OF, i'm so used to his blank avatar. and THC! your the man, I can't wait for new v3 cartridges even though, personally I'm proud to say I've never had a leak from a cart that has the ohm written on it. Just the original ones that were blank I had a few problems with, but nothing that could stop my undying love for anything D9V's. Not to even mention I'm so excited for my HVD upgrade! Keep the good work rolling mate

I have black but if you are not having black cartridge then I need the silver rado.....

Cool and can't wait.

Ok this cartridge still in development phase, when we do have it we are going to do it in all colors.
