Multi-brand HEALTHY RIPS FURY

Vaporific

All who wander are not lost...
Simply enjoying my dual Furies! They are so consistent in performance! Indeed the Snap (Fury clone) standard mouthpiece doesn't stay on much but it's now relegated to the house. I also love the low draw resistance compared to the Hopper (mine is in RMA and a friend loaned me an extra - and I simply enjoy the Furies more). Operationally, the Furies are better than the Hopper, just as easy to load and clean too. Having precise temp control is just icing on the vape cake. They are both a joy to have. When one runs low on battery, charge it up and use the other (which is usually fully charged). Life is good!

And speaking of which, time to pack a bowl and get dinner ready...:leaf::peace:

I was giving my F2 a long overdue cleaning yesterday. I pulled the whitish silicone spacer out, trying to get the glass out of the mouthpiece. I couldn't get the glass out but was able to get it pretty clean. Now how do I get the silicone piece back in? Does the black plastic piece come apart somehow? I thought I saw pictures of the mp pulled apart but haven't been able to find them yet.

Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Yes the flat black lip piece with the big hole separates from the rest of it. It just snaps back on. I had a mini heart attack the first time I did it, but it comes apart and goes back together pretty easy ,once you figure out how they go together. I know this isnt much help... but yeah they come apart and go back pretty easy. Cheers and good luck. Oh and you can disassemble the whole mp, glass tube included, maybe resin/ reclaim is holding you up? Good luck, D.

No, it's not intended to be disassembled that way, so there's no official way to put it together. Early on some guys tried prying the bottom out anyway, generally damaging it. You must have put some considerable effort into getting it out, it not only surrounds the glass, sealing it to plastic, as well as poking through the two round holes the light comes in.

IMO you've no choice but to risk damage and remove the bottom plate. MPs are cheap, you're likely to end up buying one.

Too bad you didn't research this before taking tools to it, the advice to not do so is here. Going forward the best cleaning with q-tips and ISO is probably the call. No real value in getting it overly clean, the first use or two will foul it up again despite your best efforts?

Edit: I think it's worth repeating that my suggested way to clean this (and a lot of other) MP is to wash it in water and detergent fully assembled. I put mine, minus the blue grommet and screen, in the dishwasher silverware tray (big end up) and let the DW do all the work. Does a great job with very little effort. The same technique (washing) can also be done in a small jar. Before the DW I used PBW this way, 4 or 5 minutes in hot water and PBW with occasional gentle agitation does a great job. PBW is pretty amazing stuff, IMO far better than ISO from several perspectives:

I removed that black bottom piece of plastic so I could remove the glass and clean it properly. The Silicone at the top end inside comes out as well this way, and definitely needs cleaning. I heard the "snap" the first time I removed it and looked, and saw that there were tiny plastic "welds" at the corners that had snapped, so I immediately knew that I'd done something not intended and worried.

However, I've used it for months since then almost daily, and cleaned it, pulling that bottom part off and pulling the glass out at least two or three times since then, and it has held together just fine after re-assembling. So, I will continue to do so...and when I eventually have the need to replace the mouthpiece, I plan to pull the bottom off as well when I clean it out for the first time.

To each their own. If you pull yours off and something goes wrong, it's on you because you were modding your device beyond officially recommended usage, so it's your choice. I accept that when I snap the bottom out, and I'm okay with that. If it broke and didn't work after, and I have to buy a replacement mouthpiece, I'd accept that and I won't do it again. The mouthpiece isn't very expensive.

The bottom black plastic piece popped right off, just as @DirtyD said. I deep cleaned everything with iso and a reusable scrub brush (no disposable pipe cleaners, thank you), gave it a good rinse and dried it all. I rubbed a bit of Dynawax on the rubber pieces and put everything back together. One burn off at max temp, a quick puff towards the end gave no off flavors or aromas so I loaded a bowl, backed the temp down to 380* and all is good. Flavor is better, draw is easier...I think I'll have another.

Thanks for the help.

Just keep it away from anodized aluminium, it kills a grinders finish:myday: I also like to collect the reclaim from the Iso for a combusting friend...he calls me Santa whenever I give him a puck of purple poo.

I am also in the 'Ham-fisted pull-it-apart' team as I could not get my mouthpiece sufficiently clean for my liking without dismantling it.

Earlier in this thread others talked about that oil/rosin adapter but everybody said, that it was not worth it and not really working well, so HR changed it to an iron mesh. For me the latter works ok for small amounts of rosin, taking into account, that using oil/rosin/wax is not optimal with such devices

I think the Fury/2 clones tend to come with the rosin adapter. My Snap did but I’ve never used it. I bought a F2 too and don’t recall seeing the rosin adapter but the iron mesh pad came with it. I haven’t used that either and afraid of messing up the chamber even with some remediation suggestions herein for it. I’d rather use my Source Slim for all concentrate but each their own. Good luck! :peace:

My first F2 came with the quartz bucket, but I never used it. After reading here it was useless. I have used the concentrate pads though a half dozen times. The only part that got dirty was the mouthpiece. The chamber/bowl/ bottom screen were all fine.

Planet of the Vapes has a whole breakdown of the difference between the F2, their new One, and other F2 clones: "We took the popular Fenix Mini / Fury 2 platform, added vibration feedback, made the screen flippable, changed some internals, and came up with an Accessory Attachment you’re gonna love."

https://www.planetofthevapes.com/blogs/blog/planet-of-the-vapes-one-comparison-guide

I'm a dosing caps guy, both for my F2 and my Crafty. It looks like PotV redesigned the caps. Very nice looking.

By the way: The One and the accessories aren't available yet.

I'm not sure I'll love it.

It does look interesting, and I might like it, but I usually carry my F2 in my pants pocket, or jacket pockets. Not sure how well the glass would do in my pockets.

It might take away some of the portability.

I don’t see anything showing a different dosing capsule. Can you point me to it? Or were you referring to the different mouthpieces? Thanks!

Here on the POV One page are all the accessories, including the dosing caps. These appear to be holed metal rather than wire.

PS: Here's the page with the One and all the accessories: https://www.planetofthevapes.com/collections/planet-of-the-vapes-one

And yes, the POV One mouthpiece fits the F2, from POV:
  • "Fits ONE, Fury 2, and all versions of Fenix Mini
  • Hot-swappable mouthpieces and bubblers
  • Does not reduce bowl size"

The glass accessory attachment does it for me. The glass pieces are all loose and rattle around in my fury and it would be nice not to have the reduced capacity using them.

I am hoping healthy rips comes out with the same type of glass attachment for the fury.
