Read the first post in this thread. It says to e-mail highendvapes (Todd). Or go to http://woodeez-ss.com/1801.html (but if you e-mail him you get a $10 break).

collegerower,
I have my Walnut Woodeez and absolutely love it. It is a beautiful Walnut piece, not quite what I envisioned, but a a lot better looking than the Myrtlezap or PD in my opinion.

Unfortunately, my workplace has just implemented random drug testing. For now, I will let one of my friends enjoy the Woodeez until I can quit and focus full time on my college schooling.

Edit: Also, mine has no copper diffuser cup, therefore it should not be called a diffuser.

true without an attachment there is some difficulty in diffusing.

Quite Impressed!

Received my order today. A nice piece of Walnut. What really blew my mind was the size of the bowl. From the closeup photo's you don't really realize the actual size of it. Wow its tiny. I spill more than it's volume ... loading my Volcano!
I let it heat up for 45 minutes and took my first hit. Not very impressive. The phone rang and by the time I got back to my unit it was on about 1 hour 15min. Packed a bowl and wow!! Heavy vapor hits. I have been using the Volcano exclusively for the last year. I have forgotten what a strong hit of vapor feels like .Don't get me wrong the Volcano is a jewel of medical quality vaporizing but by design the vapor gets watered down. The Woodeez reminds me of my Super Vapzilla without hassles of a traditional whip and glass piece. I must have broken a ton of glass with the SV at around 39 dollars for each replacement. I have also noticed if you put the aroma cup on the unit it gets hot quicker. I can't believe how efficient it is. Also if you flip the Volcano's easy valve, it fits into the hole on the Woodeez perfectly, another option for vaping many types of herbs for aroma therapy.
Bottom Line
1. Quick service no wait.
2. Todd was very easy to deal with
3. No brass
4. Priority mail included in price
5. Very efficient
6. Heavy hits
7. No temperature dial, whips or hoses to deal with.
8. When your ready its ready.
I am a medical user and have no ties to this product or to Todd. Hope this helps others.:peace:

Hi,

I just got my woodeez. I am not very concerned about aesthetics, but the wood is lathed perfectly and is of decent grain. I just plugged the thing in and will leave it warming up until tonight when I'll try my first vaping experience-- I'm excited!

Just wanted to also mention that Todd was very communicative and polite from pre-purchase to purchase and delivery. I'd recommend this dude to anybody as far as customer service is concerned. I asked him to make me a couple of shorty stems, which he did (I paid for one because the woodeez comes with 3 stems and I got 4- 2 shorties and 2 regulars). The extra stem cost me 15 dollars, which may or may not be a bit expensive, but the guy was so communicative and patiently answered all my stupid questions prior to and during purchase that I am not complaining. Also, for those interested-- I placed my order the night of the 27th, Todd shipped the thing on the 31st and I rec'd it today-- the 4th. Not bad.

I don't own a camera so don't have pictures, sorry. I will come back with an update regarding the woodeez's vaping abilities (from a total vaping newb's perspective) though.

Thanks a lot Todd, you the man! Also, a big kudos to the community here-- you dudes are very knowledgeable and willing to share information-- thank you, I appreciate it. I wouldn't have made a smart purchase if I didn't find this forum to research stuff in.

PS-- what the heck is the copper cap that comes with the woodeez for? I am assuming it is a cap and I'm supposed to cover the vape when it is not in use (but is plugged in). Please let me know if that is incorrect. Also, if anybody could point me to a link that talks about the benefits of waxing the wood, I'd appreciate it. Is waxing more of an aesthetic thing or is it functional as well? Thanks.

you put the copper cap over the heat exchange with the open side facing up. You put essential oils, such as lavender, or patchouli, inside the cup. The heat will then diffuse the oils into the air making that room smell nice. Aromatherapy

Make sure you put the oil in the cup before you put the cup on top of the heat exchange. Don't want any oils to accidently get down in there, will taste uber nasty. Use a pair of pliers or tweezers to remove the cup when your done, will be a hot little thing.

Some tips after using by new toy for a few days. If someone can tell me how to upload a photo I will post later.

1.After I punched a hole by accident in one of the screens with my pick :(
I came up with this fool proof pick stop. I slid the bead down to the lenght just above the screen. You can poke away and not worry you will hit the screen and making a hole.

2. I drilled a hole in a container and exhale the abv material right into the container.

3. I found a loose half filled bowl generates the strongest hits.

4. I tried the sock cozy thing.. not bad but not needed in a heated environment.

5. Anyone figure out how to beef up the cord. I can see the point near the connection just crying out to fuck up.

6. I put the tube right into an empty bowl on a bong...connection and function no problem

Enjoy:peace:

Try some shrink wrap to extend the strain relief, or wrap (tapering) with electrical tape.

Hi Guys,

I wrote Todd regarding my questions above and thought I'd share his answers with you (even though you guys seem to on top of it all):

a) The copper cup is, like Devo said above, for aromatherapy oils

b) waxing the wood is not only an aesthetic thing but also functional-- it helps keep the wood moisturized, which in turn keeps the wood from getting too dry and minimizes the risk of the wood cracking

Does anybody here keep their Woodeez 24/7? Cuz that is what I am planning to do.

Just used the Woodeez for my first vaping time ever, some random thoughts about the wdz and vapor in general:

a) I let the wdz warm up for a few hours (I think 2-3), filled the bowl and let the stem sit warming for 2 minutes. My first draw was extremely tasty and visible vapor (but not huge clouds). After that the vapor and flavor vanish-- well, flavor does, i got very tiny clouds of vapor in a few subsequent hits (i hit the thing for about 25 minutes-- though I think I cld've stopped 5 minutes ago) but only when i left the bowl in warming up a bit between draws. So yeah, not much flavor or vapor. However, and this is important, I am baked. :D

b) the high: yes, there is less couch lock but, man, the way folks were saying 'oh vaping is a whole different high man'-- not true for me. its a head hit but the high is definitely and beautifully familiar-- thank god for that

c) burnt popcorny taste: I always wondered what folks meant with this and I get it now. It isn't necessarily unpleasant but it is definitely odd. I wish there was a way to get rid of it, but if there isn't, that's fine- I could learn to live with it.

d) the bowl is a loose fit in the heating chamber. this means the stem wiggles around a little bit (but never falls off or spills or any stupid thing like that) and if you are going to pass the vapor thru water like I am going to do later, it can be kind of a pain in the ass. I dunno if there are functional reasons for not tightening the fit up more, if not perhaps Todd should think about it.

e) i wish the stems were made of borosil glass instead of this weird plasticky thing (what the heck is it anyway?). Why? I dunno, i just prefer glass and i keep thinking that part of the popcorny taste might be the stuff the stem's made of.. Todd, if you are reading- is it possible for me to order glass stems?

f) some folks might have a problem with the fact that the wdz does not come with a led light to indicate it is on. It does not bother me at all.

g) It was difficult for me to gauge when the bowl was toast. with no vapor and that porpcorny taste emenating with every draw irrespective of whether the herb was done or not, i really did not know when to stop drawing.

OK, I know i had a couple of more points but I am kinda baked so excuse me :D Bottom line: the wdz does what it should do and i have no regrets with my purchase. I think the wdz was a very good introduction for me to the vaping world,so thanks a tonne Todd!

Regarding vaping vs combusting: well, i see no real difference between the highs. so, that is a plus for vaping, since it eliminates smoking hazards. However, there is one thing i miss: flavor, smell, taste. When I smoke, it's a wholesome experience for me because I can taste/smell the herb- I like that. With vaping that sensory aspect of the experience is lost. My first hit though was very satisfying-- but after that it kind of went downhill as far as flavor goes. If anybody has thoughts/ideas regarding this, please feel free to post.

Thanks!

In my experience from vaping the "burn popcorn" isnt form the plastic at all. Infact you should have no plastic taste what so ever. Also part of the whole reason behind plastic stems is so that they wont break as easily. I have had my WZ on since the day I bought it about a month ago. Hope this helps.

Thanks pb. I'm pretty sure you are right about the taste not coming from the stem. Still, there is just something about glass that adds to the experience. I'd definitely pick up a few glass stems if they can be made available.

Also wanted to add an update regarding my previous comment about the vape high: well, it is short lived. :( I was pretty baked when I wrote my last post and have had another bowl since and can honestly say that I'm definitely not as affected as I am when smoking. In fact, right now, it is more like a head ache than anything else. This sucks. Anybody have any suggestions or have experienced this as well? I am going to try again later through my water pipe and see what happens. The vapor from the long stem did trouble my throat a bit-- which is weird because smoke never irritates me.

Another thing about a glass stem is that it would conduct alot of heat and may begin to get a little warm with repeated use :/. Also how many stems did you use? Remember these "bowls" are around the size of .025. So if you think about it like this, if you were to SMOKE .025 you would most likely feel nothing at all. In a single session I average around three stems, and for when I want to get tore up I use it in conjunction with my EHLE, as seen in the video on the last page.

Update to my high problems yesterday:

I just vaped two sessions (2 bowls each session), spaced between 1 and a half hours. The high was very good, and what I am used to, exactly like my first vape hit was yesterday.

I dunno what went wrong yesterday. Huh. I smoked about 6 bowls in all from the WDZ, 4 of which were through water, and wasn't very happy (though, the first bowl was very good and got me high). I definitely wasn't as high as I usually get with a bong. So, I smoked (combusted) a couple of hits from the bong yesterday after vaping and I was instantly blazed. So, despite yesterday's disappointments I learned that a majority of vape hits followed by 2 good bong hits get this dude blazed.

Today, I vaped through my mini water pipe only and get two good hits of visible tasty vapor per bowl, usually followed by a third hit with some visible clouds and, just for good measure, I take another 2 hits which have flavor but no vapor. After that its all toast and the ABV is crispy brown with occasional green flakes. I smoke 2 bowls per session and I am where I should be.

The WDZ stems fit perfectly into my 14.4 mm gong downstem.

I'm very happy right now :D

Common complaint from those new to vapor. If it makes you feel any better, the 'extra high' you're missing with vapor is mostly due to smoke byproducts like carbon monoxide, benzene, and other compounds that contribute to drowsiness and dizziness. The effects of these toxins are normally lumped into the 'mj high', but they're not included to any significant degree with vapor, which is a cleaner high.

The other aspect of getting higher with a bong, is that you can pack a lot more into your bong hits, vs a small bowl vape like this one. You get a similar experience with using a full size whip vape, which can give you a lot more vapor per hit.

Or running your vapor through a bong.
