MiniVAP Vaporizer

No sir, no one seems to know.

It seems it may have to be sent back to @stickstones as he had already fixed it once.
He is a bit perplexed as am I.

Because of the fact it does the same thing with the battery or AC puck it is most definitely the unit itself I would assume.
Possible bad heater or firmware.

It has been on for well over an hour now and has not auto shut off....

It will not vape or heat up, it has been on for like an hour and a half, the light is still blinking and I can still stick my pinkey all the way down the oven with the screens and rings removed and she is still cold.

Just received my core back from warranty repair.
The actual white inner part was perfect when I sent it off as it had never been removed and only ever used with basket

You can see it has been bent out of shape to remove and refitted not forming a tight fit.
Is this likely to affect performance?

No that looks to be just the teflon ring and no it shouldnt qffect perfomance at all..the heater is underneath..the teflon doesnt rely on conduction heating so loqd a basket and go to town..if you got bqck from warranty then performance should be greatly improved..

Thanks

I have noticed s high pitch buzzing coming from it.
Unsure why, or if there before but never noticed it.

Just turned it in for first time.
Anyone else noticed that buzzing noise.
Can't test it yet, but going to see how hot to my finger it goes

After service repair, mine looked the same.
It does not effect performance.
I'd say mine got better after use, the gap became much less over time.

Report back if yours does the same

It will work fine. You don't even need that insert, but it keeps the heater walls clean. If it is really bugging you, you can pull it out and reshape it and put it back in. You will see the teflon is fairly flexible. And as @MinnBobber said, after use it will soften up even more.

As for buzzing, only a few users report that, and it has more to do with their incredible hearing than anything else, I think. I haven't seen any units come through here that I could hear a buzz on, but some users report it.

The white adapter is the delrin adapter I sell, and I have about five left. It mates with any 18mm glass and, imo, makes the top two temps very comfortable to vape with, even with just a glass mouthpiece on it. Sweet glass on top!

Thank you.

Btw, the minivap now toasts it and provides clouds

Don't think it has ever worked previous, not like this.

any good suggestions on tubes ??
.........................................................
I just have a general suggestion about dhgate glass:
IMO, it is much better to stick to simple designs that are easy to copy. Both of your likes are very complicated layouts where the Chinese copies often miss the true function of the complicated originals.

At least for your first piece, I'd suggest a basic design like the Mobius Ion copy. They have that working great. I have the real Mobius ion so don't know the Chinese version numbers, but others will help.

I will consider the complicated Chinese copies sometime in the future, but after they have a proven track record.

Gonna order the derlin adapter , any good suggestions on tubes ?? Never used dhagte but this one is nice http://m.dhgate.com/product/2016-new-vapexhale-hydratube-9-8-inches-glass/385487849.html#Viewsdr
Or this one.more recylcer type tube

I have that first one. IMO, it robs a lot of flavor and is pretty chuggy. Haven't tried the other one.

I have many hydratubes, but only one cheap Chinese knockoff. The MV works well inverted too, and Many folks have decent Chinese glass recommendations. So if you're looking for cheap glass, you may want to check out the cheap glass thread.

Mine has a very clear and distinguishable electric buzz, but the performance is unbeatable. Love my MV!
Same obvious buzz sometimes louder than others.
Performance is amazing so don't care. The decarb kit has been killing me can't wait to try a glass core when they're available again.

Flexicone with filter (hemp fiber or cotton):

For those that use the Flexicone with a filter, here's a suggestion:
use 2 screens to contain the loose fiber. At one time I put hemp fiber in the basket itself, on top of the herb BUT the ABV would get intertwined in the fibers/ tough to save all the ABV.
So, I moved the fiber above the main screen, up into the Flexicone itself/ not in the wire basket.
ABV was easy to harvest BUT the loose fibers would get sucked up into the Flexicone "narrows" and restrict the draw.
I now put a tiny second screen above the fiber, to keep it in place/ to keep it out of the exit narrows.

From left to right, bottom to top in the assembly:
wire basket , basket screen which snaps into Flexicone, hemp fiber filter, second small screen to contain the hemp fiber, Flexicone.

With this, I find the draw resistance is much much lower.
The hemp fiber filter works wonders for catching the tiny dry herbage that gets sucked upstream.
It keeps your glass much cleaner or your mouthpieces (and throat and lungs).
Keep the filter very very thin for minimal change in draw restriction.
