FWIW, I remember @Ojan_at_PAX stating that there are different versions of the Pax 2 with slightly different easter eggs. For example, I always had funky town play whenever I'd shake the unit, no need to unlock it via Simon. I also have what appear to be 3 or 4 different party mode visualizations; I keep telling myself I will make a note of each mode and how to activate them but, well, I'm usually using my Pax at the time and my memory, she isn't what she used to be.

Correct. I am wondering if the pacman units all have simon in them as mine does? Only time will tell after more people read these posts and begin to experiment. I posted a couple vids of how to access them both on youtube... not sure if i can post links just yet. This will be interesting to see what unfolds with all these unique features. So far ive noticed the gold edition units are usually pacman units but that nakes no sense if what the pax labs spokesperson said about the hidden features not being color or age dependent. Ive seen some gold edition units without pacman or simon, but i wonder if these people were doing the spin technique correctly? Atp no way to tell... my other thought too is what happens when you unlock purple haze after you have unlocked funky town? I bet you can scroll thru them in the menu used to turn off funky town at startup. No proof yet tho guys, so i will unlock purple haze and report back, simon wasnt too hard to beat lvl20 so purple haze should be soon guys! I will have to do a youtube vid of both tones once i get this done just so people can see it.
I already unlocked purple haze and funkytown...it just plays purple haze at startup now. As far as I can tell there is no way to select which tone you want.

Here is the purple haze tone

@vapviking it doesn't play funkytown loud, you have to put your ear close to the oven.
I'm sure you knew it, but thought it was worth a mention.
(To my understanding) simon mode will turn off the heater?
@zor...my first pax one would play funky town when shaking, but this new one ONLY plays it on start up (well before I unlocked purple haze)
So no matter how I shake it...no tones

I didn't know Funky Town was so quiet! There it is when I turn Pax2 on now. Thanks for that, great call! It had gone right by me, and wife was sitting shoulder to shoulder with me reading. Couple of 'kids' about to hit our 40th! My ears need it to be almost right on 'em to hear it...It feels more like I'm failing the hearing exam, the one where you have to point when you hear...something?.... :\

Can't say positively, but yes, I think Simon mode did turn the heater off.

Wow nice, you beat me to it! Have you tried going into the oven settings and clicking 5x quickly? Mine will disable funky town at startup when i do this. It also give 4x white pulses to indicate the song is off. Havent had time yet today to unlock purple haze but i will be on it later this afternoon. Mine does not play a tone when shook any direction. Only at startup. I must say the way they made the tones function is stallar. The oven vibrates at different frequencies generating a tone, then they figure which tones in what order to create the melody. Pretty neat imo. And yes simon does deactivate the oven, so does pacman.

I have unlocked puple haze and i can confirm BOTH are selectable at the oven setting menu. Go to oven settings and click the power button 5x quickly. It will pulse 4x white indicating the tones are disabled, if you press the button another quick 5x it will blink 4x with all different colors at once indicating a tone has been selected. Mine plays tones only at startup so far. I will continue to experiment and see if i can discover more hidden features... ill also post up a link to a vid with both tones being played.

Sending my Pax in for a replacement, hoping to get it back in time to accompany me to Batman V Superman. Anyone have experience using it in a movie theater? Looks in your direction, giggling, hearing people mention that holy shit this theater smells like fucking pot? ;)

I use my pax2 in the theater all the time

I would use one one of the lower heat settings and cover the illuminated 'x' with my hand.

Also I like sitting further back in case I have to cough.

I do it all the time as well as dab electronically

Movies are way better getting high while viewing.

I'm not sure I have the balls to do it IN the theater. Outside, absolutely. But circumstances would have to be ideal to do it inside. I haven't smoked/vaped in 3 months in anticipation for this movie, so 2 hits on the first setting will have me flying.

According to a Reddit thread, which I can't paste on mobile this person/company is creating several Pax accessories soon.

A couple titanium Pax "cartridge" that can be pre-loaded and easily swapped. Very cool idea. A cartridge funnel is being made as well.

Finally, a "press" that fits inside the oven. A little confused as to what this is though.

The cartridge sounds like an awesome idea, but I am just hesitant to put anything except herb inside the vape. I have considered and passed on the pusher for this reason. Sure, titanium in theory shouldn't alter the functions of the vape in any way but when dealing with something as fragile and (mostly) irreplaceable as my lungs, it still makes me uneasy.

On a different note, when cleaning the vape I have noticed fibers from the pipe cleaners stuck in the vapor path and the oven. I have really bad ocd, and once I worry about something it is almost impossible to forget it. Are there any cleaners made of 100% cotton or anything? The thought of inhaling fumes from melted fibers really has me worried.

You may want to look at the accessories on NewVape.com. They're the makers of the pusher, but also have a cleaning rod. I haven't tried it but I remember others here liking it. And it may solve your pathway cleaning concerns.

And a question for @Ojan_at_PAX (if you catch this one) - Do the folks at pax labs have an opinion about using after market cartridges in their pax's?

Not really sure of the ball size needed to preform such a maneuver...

The way I see it, if it's a place i'm not worried about smelling like I just smoked a joint and going into...I'll vape there.

The pax on low just smells like you have something good in your pocket. Two will be slightly more noticable. Three is doable if there are no families in the theater and four will likely blow your cover.

I have also vaped in a shopping mall, as well as other 'higher profile' locations that I won't go into on the open web.

I really should vlog the shit...

For accessories...it's really not my thing.

I have an smell proof pen I store herbs in and use a key chain dab tool as a mini shovel

And a rolled up flattened pipe screen I use to quarter or half pack

@Ratchett has smell proof caps that work well for quick smell proofing/minimizing option

I would look at his wpa as well, although the pax isn't ideal for water...

EDIT FWIW I used to vape INSIDE during a kitchen job on level 2 (original pax) and was never found out and I didn't have smell proof caps.

I found 100% cotton swabs and pipe cleaners, so I think that will work. The rod does seem very cool though.

I have thought about the Pax 2 "cartridge" a lot today, and I can finally copy/paste so here is the Reddit post, a quote and a link to their site.

Were going to be coming out with 3 initial accessories for the Pax 2. They are:
(1) The Pax Cartridge - A Titanium container that fits inside of the Pax 2 oven.
(2) The Cartridge Funnel - A small Aluminum funnel that makes it easy to load the Pax Cartridge.
(3) The Compactor - A small Aluminum press that fits both the inside of the Pax Cartridge, and the inside of the Pax 2 Oven itself.
When will they be available? I'm currently unsure. It's very likely we are going to miss the 50 days I initially stated. Sorry about that. I really wanted to have them available by mid April. But it currently looks like it may take a little bit longer to complete. When I have a firm date set in place, You all will be the first to know.

@Ojan_at_PAX, any thoughts on those accessories? Do the Pax engineers keep up with the third party stuff or give it much thought?

The only accessory the great Pax2 really needs is a modified mouthpiece so you are not burning the side of your lip or gumming the vape body with the flat mouthpiece..
I have modded several that work great and are very simple to do from the one that came with it.
I tried the regular mouthpiece that sticks out again lately and it still burned my lip on one side or the other.
The way I modded it it comes out the center of the mouthpiece not the side and you can use a glass tube like for the mflb or the one I settled on was a vapman ebony mouthpiece..Could even hook it to a bubbler this way.
I offered it to send it to Pax but it seems they are not interested in suggestions. Would have given it to them for a few new vapes...
Works very well anyway.

The raised mouthpiece irritated my lips & wife's right away so we never use it, except when I revised it a bit to adapt a glass tube mouthpiece and for water hookup.
In retrospect, I believe that the metal piece that's inside the mouthpiece (the switch extender) is probably the heat transfer culprit. So, maybe removing that metal could increase the pleasure factor or the stock raised mouthpiece? Removing mouthpiece to turn on/off would be the trade-off. I can't try this because I altered mine. Has anyone? (silly question, I bet someone has!)
Though I like the glass mouthpiece (from Arizer whip), on Pax2 the draw resistance doesn't combine well with a straw format. Sounds odd to say 'cause it's a sipper, I know, but we tended back to the flat, stock mp. Now I wonder about the raised, and it might even add cooling with slightly longer vapor path?

Removing the metal middle peice won't work, a working solution is to place a metal BB in one of the holes, it makes the heat a non issue imo...

It was brought up by @Vape Dr. A while ago
Hey guys, figured I'd chime in here on the PAX 2 and the taste. I have had one of the first PAX 2 units and I have never had a plastic taste. In fact the PAX 2 taste quite good, my biggest complaint would be the weed smell it gives off when heating which takes some of the stealth factor away.

I also wanted to ask you guys which mouth piece you prefer?
I personally like the flat one better because I feel the draws are cooler.
The big downfall to the flat MP is explaining where and which side to hit it from when using the PAX with a friend.

I got sick of explaining this quick so I took a hard look at the "traditional" style MP.
IMO the vapor is much hotter with the OG style MP but it is much more user friendly.

I found a super simple DIY trick for the traditional style mouth piece that IMO makes the vapor as cool if not cooler than the flat MP. As I said, I prefer the flat mouthpiece by myself but with friends I use the Tradition style MP so they can just grab the PAX 2 and hit it.

Here it is. PAX 2 with both mouth pieces.

To cool down the draw significantly simply push a stainless steel BB into the hole in the mouth piece that is directly over the air path coming from the oven.

Here is a close up pic.
The BB fits in there perfectly allowing the vapor to cool down as it reaches the farther hole. I found the hotter draw was a result of the vapor going straight from the ovens air path directly to the hole in the MP above it.

The BB fits in there perfectly and really cools down the draws. It stays in snug and can be removed easily.
If you want cooler draws with the traditional mouth piece, give it a shot!
It take a second to do and makes a huge difference.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!

@VapeThis Mine is one of the first PAX 2 units and it blows clouds for what it's worth.

Please do! Happy to speed things up for ya. It's important to know that, even if the device is authentic, it won't come with our 10 year warranty since it was purchased on eBay. We ship to the UK so I highly recommend getting a head start on the refund process so you can pick one up from us, or another authorized store/website.

Seriously? I almost bought one (genuine, new) on ebay. So the warranty wouldn't have been valid? The seller claimed so, I had asked to make sure too...

Yep, seriously. We don't have any authorized sellers on eBay. Any seller claiming to be authorized is either very misinformed or, well, pulling your leg so to speak. Authenticity doesn't play a part in the warranty since we wrote our warranty before counterfeits existed. You can use our store locator to find an authorized shop near you, or I can confirm the authorized status of a website you've found if you'd like to message me the URL. Here are the details on our warranty if you want to check them out, also!

@Ojan_at_PAX have you guys had many issues where blue lights blink 10 times then unit shuts off? Is this a specific problem or does the 10 light blinks cover a general scope of problems?

I will fill in a ticket and send it back as soon as I can, but its been kept religiously clean and has been dropped minimal times.

Edit: I just filled in a support ticket (Pax Case # 00350335: Blue Lights x 10)

Not many at all, but it can happen. The color/number of blinks you see is tied to a specific issue so we know (but won't share) what those blue blinks mean. I can tell you that you very, very likely didn't cause it and we have you covered :)

Appreciate you sending in a support request also! Haven't checked it out yet but I'll bump it up in our team's queue to get eyes on it faster.

Thanks for the info @Ojan_at_PAX. I got things rolling and as soon as I have ability I will send it in. Live outside the US so a little bit of a PITA

Well, I haven't ever done this before, but now I have a screen hopelessly jammed into the Pax2 chamber. I've tried gentle prying techniques with various tiny tools, and I've also try banging it, chamber down, onto a folded towel on my kitchen counter. Nothing is moving that screen.

Any suggestions?
