Which is the best stock mouth piece to use.

I am about 20 hours away from my first go but I only have 1 flexicone and one mouth piece not sure which as vapornation were sending out the missing ones but usps has been crap and I am at the airport so wont receive them.

shall I try the plastic type of flexi first?

How many spares do you need and anyone know where to buy cheap in uk? Or even third party alternative

Thanks

@Techmob put a screen they provide in the opening of the flexicone +. Attach your basket into the bottom of the flexicone. Slip it through the cap and onto the MV. IMO there's a better seal with that setup than with the mouthpiece. However the mouth piece is a shorter distance, so taste might be better to you. Enjoy

I like to use the flexicone (the soft material little dome shaped piece). Snap a screen into it, snap the loaded basket into it, insert that module into the cover and screw it on. Two pieces snap together to form the hard mouthpiece (approx 2" long), attach and go vape.

That's for max flavor. Super short vapor path. For me, that works fine. Even on red temp (high), multiple pulls make the hard mouthpiece very hot halfway up (1 ") but it still is good. Note: many times when I move up to red temp I'll drop the basket module into my bubbler as it literally takes THREE SECONDS.

Soooo, I joined a few weeks ago to ask an Arizer question and then noticed this thread, and now I just recieved a miniVAP (the glowing reviews in here really sold me on it)...but yeah, so I just got one of these from Vapornation, and the first thing I notice on unboxing is that the finish is bit scratched, the top of the battery is a bit dirty around the locking threads, and one of the buttons is a lot stiffer to click than the other (the + button)...I mean I know this is from a small company but it seems kinda shoddy for a supposedly brand new "premium" product.

What do you all think? Should I return before using? Or is this stuff kinda normal with these things?

Not normal in my opinion.
I received mine last week and everything looked in mint condition.
I hope they didn't send you a refurbished one by mistake, or like another online seller, a display sample, or whatever that means.

@Mrmrmrmr. You said(sorry messed up quote again) I was thinking ,wouldn't it be cool if there was a case that you could place 10 or so flexicone setups and pop them out whenever you wanted (preloaded of course :brow:).

This is what I use for this purpose. It actually slots right in place of the battery charger dock in the bag I got with the full kit.
I got a four pack of these being touted as being for the organisation of beads. I also use one of them to keep a collection of different strains I have. I only have two just now so ain't that impressive :\

As for a scratched unit outta the box(there is no box). I don't think my unit was perfect by any means. But then my first two were apparently from a shitty batch so

Another place to look for similar cases is fishing gear as they have many such divided cases for small fishing items like sinkers, small jigs, hooks, etc

Good idea, had never thought of that. I've a larger box too. I'm gonna check out fishing places for a better one. Or two smaller ones.

Edit.. Here's one.. It's on amazon.

Room for alot of justice in these kinda rigs.

Edit: you see the two flexicones in the top section and to the right, the ones on the glass? Well those two have been used about the same amount. The difference being the white, seemingly unsullied one has only been used with the Large basket with arizer E basket lid. The proof is in the pudding I suppose... Mmm.. Pudding :mmmm:

Sorry mods.. Forgot momentarily about double posting.

@OnCloud8 , yeah I had posted in one of my reviews that my Gold version came in from V.N. with some deep pin pricks, like 3 of them. Was bummed, you'd think at this price point it would Perfect! But I'm so used to getting new shit that comes in damaged from all aspects of life, that I just let it slide , plus I got it on 25% off sale. And they don't affect performance. Which is Fucking AWESOME!!

@THE KISS FREAK, woah really? That's rather concerning. I'm not really much of a "luxury purchaser", so I was really surprised about this…totally figured at the price point it would come in a "mint" condition brand new.

oh well, I contacted Vapornation, have to see what they say about it. Bummed to have it in hand and not be able to try it but I'd rather see if I can get an exchange first.

Maybe I'm slow this morning, but why would the using the Arizer basket keep the Flexicone cleaner?

My MV arrived in the same poor condition
Pin scratches and a few nicks here and there to the bare metal.
Contacted Vapornation about a month ago with pictures and no response...
My battery is also a nice shiny black while the heater section is a much lighter black...

Not what I expected from a high end device... But it works!!

EDIT:
So far I like loading a layer of hash and then bud on top, set to red and wait, usually heat it up twice to get the unit nice and hot, and then rip like a banshee!
Super dense, chewy clouds! N

Normally I would say 'who cares?' and roll with it having function over form being my guide. But in this case I would recommend going the harder path to replacement. Last night I was walking around the house with my perfectly assembled Goldy and thinking about how superior the build quality is to any other vape I have. It's on par with Herbie, and even better given that unit's slightly wobbly lid. It's just so classy. I recently had an uncle pass who was well off and everything he had smelled of class. My first thought was that this would have been his vape (if he vaped!). I've only thought that about two vapes...this one and the Daisy. My wife agreed as well that this was the most attractive/coolest looking vape I have as I was walking around with it in portable mode.

So, again, you could keep it and carry on and enjoy it forever...but you might be missing out on the joy that comes with strutting about with a high class unit!

On another note...I had my first real comparison session between the flexicone+ and the mouthpiece. I had been using the flexicone+ at first because its form had me thinking the vapor would be cooler with the longer air path. Turns out the mouthpiece delivers considerably more comfortable vapor for me than the flexicone+. The mouthpiece itself gets hotter, but the vapor is much more pleasant...all of this being relevant to higher temps only...they both perform wonderfully at lower temps. And the mouthpiece looks better while I strut!

As it lowers the space available for herb to be shifted around within the large basket whilst simultaneously maintaining closer (if only marginally) proximity to the heater. I still have the screen snapped all up into the nipple too so one extra screen. The arizer E basket gets the tackiness instead of the flexicone innards. It works my man. Those nips ain't cheap. I think you'd get more nips for less in a strip bar. Crazy Hermes eh.

Do the nips clean up well? I haven't used them long enough to need to wonder about it. In fact, everything is surprisingly quite clean.

Hermes says some crazy shit like up to 25 uses!! This I believe would be if you only wanted the freshest taste.. Always.. In my mind it would be tantamount to throwing socks away after a few wears.
Once they get that colour there's no way to remove it. Much of the tackiness will come away with an iso wiping. My :2c:

I found the mouthpiece hot

Was hot on my lips.

I started on pink and went to green.

I think I have something against hot vapor as I also own the davinci ascent and that wasn't to dissimilar to the feeling I got, I.e felt hot and not a taste of the herb. As if it is to hot. (Not comparing quality here)

Hard to describe but it did hit me just now lol. Hot is not for me as i am used to the da buddha

I did have the da buddha a couple of hours ago and that was after 16 day tolerance and wow it was lovely in many ways. Cool and tastey

Obviously I need more work on the minivap, will try later

Edit. This is now coming on in waves, very nice. I want this flavour you all talk about.

I will try some fresh herb later.

Oh wow, that is really troubling. Now I'm super bummed out…They haven't responded to you in a month? I gotta say. I bought it from them because they are US based and are a "trusted friend" of FuckCombustion, as shown on the bottom of every page here. A month to hear back from customer service…wow…that's crazy…how can they possibly be considered a friend of FC?

A little bit of aesthetic damage is not the end of the world, but a wonky button and paint on the locking threads that are essentially in the air path is sooooo not acceptable for a vape that costs over $500 and has all the marketing hype of being "the most advanced" "the cleanest air path" etc... I'm not sure what to do, but if they don't respond to me within a few days I might consider getting my credit card company involved.

@OnCloud8 , I had great C.S. from vapor nation, I only received one flexi-tube and they had another one out to me within a few days and I did hear right back from them within a day or two I think. I think I had mentioned the pin pricks in my email, and they never mentioned it. Like I said only a couple of pin pricks and nothing else, so I said fuck it, no biggie. But if your finish is screwed up on top of pricks/scratches, then I'd probably want a new one. But My decision to do nothing was based on the fact that I didn't pay the full $519 U.S., got the 25% off coupon making it like $390 U.S. I hope you make out alright and they take care of you! Good luck, you'll definetely LOVE it when you do get to use it.

They do have a toll free number and live chat at vapornation. I know I personally like the old school method of talking to someone.
