MiniVAP Vaporizer

Hi question for you guys, would you recommend this vape at present ? it seems that there are some manufacturing issues ? I'm from the UK and like the idea of being able to send it close for warranty if need be, but it seems like if I buy now it might lose heat ability quickly or be defective ?

Mine is perfect.

Not sure how you concluded that there are manufacturing issues or heat issues because there aren't any. Any and all vape manufactures end up with some defective units getting into the hands of end users, hell, any manufacturer of any device/product incurs this.

You have a solid 2 year warranty on the minivap and one year on the battery.

You should feel at ease ordering one.

I'm pleased to report that I am currently enjoying my brand new replacement MV from Vapornation. They actually sent me an entire brand new MiniVAP portable kit complete with accessories, even though I only returned the heater, battery, base, and charger. It's all in pristine condition, no scratches or dents or issues with the fit and finish. Function is at least as good as my old unit ever was (the returned unit declined gradually, so it's hard to say exactly when it started to fail or if it was ever even working 100% to begin with). I forgot how ridiculously effective this little guy is at delivering the goods... so nice

I also received excellent customer service from Vapornation. I have a new MV in hand exactly 1 week after they received my defective one, and I'm thousands of miles away.

using the arizer basket as a lid to the large basket... works great! I think it might even promote a little conduction heating similar to the decarb ring, albeit less of an effect? maybe not...

super relieved to get such a good resolution to my issue, and thrilled to be back in business with my MV :science:

..and business is good!

I plan on doing a my picture comparison of level of extraction of the Arizer Ebasket method to just the stock models on Monday.
Should be fun!

Also.. I was told that there were indeed some quality control issues for a short period of transition where hermes moved premises. Don't have any figures of how long this period was, when it was, or indeed how many units were thought to have been involved.
2 year warranty on the unit though so as long as your retailer is cool and has access to decent levels of stock for replacement this doesn't worry me. I think I may pull the trigger on my second unit soon. I'll try for the green but think I may have to settle for the gold.. Still cool as shit though.

I remember reading this also, but that was some time ago if I recollect correctly. I would hope those units are no longer part of any ones inventory for sale. I guess no one knows for certain and I would also hope Hermes tried to get that inventory out of circulation if only to protect their reputation let alone deal with returns and pissed off customers.

Do you have Glass?
Funnily enough, guess what just arrived this morning

The d020-d after only 6 days from ordering.

Will give it a wash and then hook this up to the minivap and da buddha later and see how it tastes then.

People suggest warm water for less irratation?

Looking for best flavour and smoothness really

Cheers

Bob

Is this the silicone bit? I can't snap the basket into the harder one that comes with the vape

Cheers

It takes me about 15 seconds to load the wire basket and snap it into the flexicone, which already has a screen snapped into it. Then there are two options:
1. like the picture below, invert the module and set in bubbler. Place inverted mVAP onto basket-enjoy.
2. place module into mVAP cover with flexicone nipple protruding, screw on cover, snap on whip tube or hard mouthpiece-enjoy

To switch between direct draw and water piece-- 10 seconds.
super easy, super versatile, super tastey

I can't imagine a cleaner apparatus. Using the wire basket method for 6 months--just alcohol swabbed the heating chamber---nothing on swab--no discoloration.
Soaked the flexicone/ basket/screen module in ISO---- a tiny amount of junk dislodged.

Reread the post from lastnight that details usage.

Edit.. Also remember the mods on here don't like a more messy than necessary forum. So edit rather than doublepost.
Like I just did.

I'll need to try that hot/warm water.

Hi,
I prefer warm water but experiment. Room temp water does fine-I'd rate it at zero--it does not irritate your throat nor make it feel better. With warm or hot water, the vapor picks up much more moisture and vapor is very very dry. With warm/hot water, I'd rate it + 3, meaning it actually helps your throat feel better.
You can even inhale from your warm water bubbler with no vapor to get the feeling.
On my scale, I'd rate smoking a joint a minus 10, meaning very hard on the throat.

this is the key to the bubbler magic, the "basket module". Look closely at the pic of what resting in the glass: Starting at the top: the inverted wired basket, the herb, then a supplied wire screen snapped
into the flrxicone (can't see it obviously), and then the "flexicone"/ soft pliable silicone piece.
Invert the mV over the basket and enjoy.

Note: for straight vaping, you take the module and invert so the basket is down, push it into your mV cover, screw on the cover, attach the 2" hard mouthpiece or tubing and go for it.

I never use the hard plastic cap that's shaped somewhat like the flexicone---some do though.

It's confusing as there is also a "flexicone +" "flexicone plus".
See small pic below. It is a one piece basket cap AND hose. You could snap a screen into it and then the basket. I prefer 2" mouthpiece for shortest vapor path/ max taste.

Haha mate
Let me paint a picture for you. In fact I will upload just for your amusement considering you reached out and helped a jet lagged stoned fool

I first tried it this way

Heated vape to blue temp

Filled the large basket, dropped this into the minivap and used the plastic mouth piece, got a whistle through it, not sure if it loses air somewhere I guess it does as the hits were not as strong as my next go which I will explain

I replaced the plastic mouth piece with the silicone tube with the ear and had the small end over the nipple on top of the minivap, not a great fit but it worked. I sucked on the ear part and had no loss in air and it was thick but warm vapor

Again this was blue to pink.

I then, did what you said and put the flexicone plus piece in and clipped the basket too it. Not much diff to above other than the tube doesn't fall off the nipple due to it being one piece

I domt have the single tube so that through me off, my excuse as well as jetlag and one to jump straight in after loads of reading for days but just didn't retain the info lol

Going to hook it up to my bubbler now.

I have in the bubbler, the nipple facing inside and the basket with screen clipped in upside down, ready for the minivap to sit on. I assume this is the flexicone? My terminology is off at the moment.

Pics of how,I had it last night (ok , ipad is stopping my copying the links)

@MinnBobber , cheers mate that is exactly as I have it. Will give it a go and report back.

Techmob,
you should be good to go.
Yes, the "flexicone" is the small silicone ear/cap that accepts a screen (to keep herb contained) and then accepts the wire basket.
Yours should look just like the picture i attached, correct?

You can start on pink and then try green and red too, for fuller effects

I have just tried it with glass and it packs a punch. Powerful machine

Shame I have to go through some glass and water to appreciate it or my expectations or level of annoyance to warm vapor. I already have a big hitter da buddha upstairs where my water uses live (not bathroom) Very good with water, going in for some more now about two hours later, did some blue and could taste it nice this time

Going for green now

I guess it is a common bug I am experiencing and is the same as I have read. It turns on but doesn't load a tempt, as the led does not flash

Resetting the battery fixes it.

Ok, just had another blast
Nicely cured think different, about 4 months stored in cvaults with dehumid packs, still nice and fluffy , smelly when grated and fluffs up when you scoop and it fills the basket with overflow but isn't really compact so you help it further in and continue to fill the basket as I just did

Very strong on a bubbler and it reminds me of the old days, I took it deep in my loungs on green and red and had approx 5 hits on it and the herb was nice and brown, prob still could of got a dirty last hit of them but didn't wan to ruin the taste

Baked now

@stickstones

Grab your Herbie whip, rotate one end through the lid of the MV about 5mm.
Take a pre-loaded Flexicone and place the nipple inside the Herbie whip.
Gently pull up on the whip to seat the Flexicone, the Herbie tubing should be flush with the bottom of the lid.
Attach lid to a preheated MV to your preferred setting and vape away hands free with the MV in your pocket or next to you on the sofa!
Hands free with a long whip and great flavour and bigger, cooler clouds!!!

I will try that! Does the longer tubing make it cooler on higher temps? The only negative I can find so far is the heat of the vapor on the higher settings. I can't decide if it is too hot or if it is me since I am taking a lot more hits in longer sessions because it is so enjoyable. I've noticed that where I normally would hit something four or five times quickly and leave for a while, the MV has me taking my time and taking lots of hits. It's easily my favorite vape for when I want to have a session. Not that it is a session vape, but it is great at that if you want it.

It makes for a super cool hit!
And the flavour is still there in the forefront.
I find that the deeper hits medicate me that much more, especially if they are nice and cool.
That plus the MV is an awesome combo!

The MV does tend to make you take smaller hits and savour the flavour in each and every hit.
You can also hit it at full steam and get great results, so it is very versatile.

Just tried a small basket full of kief in the flexicone.
MV set on RED, holy dense vapour!!!
Flavour was amazing.
I did take a video but it sucks... Still deciding on whether to upload it.

Packed a "day bowl" for the entire day today. This consisted of a layer of bud , a couple drops of wax and a final layer of bud. I was going dry so all I had was the whip attached to flexicone. Took hits throughout the day and the high was incredible! Although the vapor became very hot and irritable at some point. I really need to find a glass option that diffuses the vapor a bit.
I find that each vaporizer has it's own high but the minivap is something extraordinary:o
Time for a nightcap, blue vapors all the way!!! So much flavor
Edit-upload that sucker @lazylathe let's see it

No need to keep resetting the battery just let the Mini sit for a minute forty seconds or so and the flashing will start. I don't think its a bug just the way it is.

You are misreading. I answered two separate questions in one post. Back-to-back posts are a no no on FC.

You're Mini most likely needs replacement. You can try a Mini reset as last resort. With Mini 'on' take off and put back on the battery.
