Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Sorry, Hoops. You're way off base in my view. Think of the industry they must navigate. Think of how they're personally sacrificing for the vaping community
What you are forgetting is that we all decided to invest in the people of VXL and give them another shot. They are working hard. Have patience.
All that did was make me appreciate the cloud all the more as I tried to find a worthy backup. Every time I use another vape for an extended period, I am reminded of how much I love the cloud when I come back.
I've not seen anything where @stonemonkey55 is less than respectful to customers or FC members. I don't know why you've got a thin skin on behalf of the armchair CEOs. For my money, those are the people without respect.
but Hoops - have you read this thread front to back? Have you kept up with the comments that you are commenting on? In doing so, have you gone beyond searching for SM's posts and actually kept up with the context that he is replying to, or do you simply make this statement based on what you see for the last few responses?

You all make very good points and I appreciate the professionalism in the rebuttals and comments. What I wrote is how I've felt about this for a quite some time and I needed to express that here.

I'm a supporter of the VXL products, they are phenomenal, no doubt about that. I've voiced my thoughts on the business side and your response's are well received.

Cloudy...
Without going into specifics, if you guys could give us more time to get on our feet, we can begin resolving these issues.

It's me the only one that read here that AFTER the igg campaing ends they WILL start taking care of old models in warranty?

I find it reasonable, much better than they don't taking care and vanishing in the air

In the end there is nothing else they can do. it sucks for them more than us. my cloud died the other day after I started doing the dab method. I used it gently for over a year, never going over 1:00. Stressing it with the dab method killed it within four sessions. So for those of you hoping to skate by on your current cloud until the evo drops, keep it low!

The last time I was without a cloud for about six months. All that did was make me appreciate the cloud all the more as I tried to find a worthy backup. Every time I use another vape for an extended period, I am reminded of how much I love the cloud when I come back. Hang in there...the wait just makes it that much sweeter!

Sorry to hear about your Cloud.
Dab method...Can you explain what that may entail so I can be sure not to do that?
The only way I ever used extracts was stacking the 2 caps on the ELB. Is that what you mean by dab method?

If i was to put myself in SM's shoes for a min I think I would have lost my temper a long time ago. maybe not professional, but hey it's HIS BABY! he probably has more feelings, sweat, and frustration over this than any of us could even imagine.

2nd mortgage against the house to make this project a go? good god. the stress and anxiety of it all would have crushed me I think.

Kudos to SM for being as PC as he has been. I'm one of those armchair ceo's. and while I think you have a good point hoops. I think if I were in the other sides shoes I know where they would be coming from.

the FC crowd is a lil OCD imo and that only makes things even worse :p

*all in all i think VXL has been over open (not that i don't appreciate it). and as a result you get all these opinions on things we wouldn't even know about otherwise.

being so open is a double edged sword. it's shows the heart and soul of the company, but it also shows it's vulnerabilities.

I hope you don't regret it! But I know how you're feeling. i'm sure there's a landfill somewhere with my name on it because of my compulsive purchasing. But, I think that with kind care, your Cloud should last a long time (unless something's already wrong with it). Hopefully, it won't be long before you can afford to make it your official backup to a new EVO! That's how this "glass half-full" guy would look at it....

I'll see your purchased bricks and raise you 2 dead PSPs, and a bunch of nintendo handhelds and a PAX. Easily $2000 worth of bricks over the years. Now toss in dead LCD monitors from the early days, dead Windows PCs, old cel phones, game console controllers, PC videocards, old RAM, old routers, old HUBs... the list goes on and on..we're talking $10s of thousands of dollars on items that are now bricks.

The nature of buying manufactured electronics is that 95% of what you buy will end up a useless brick. It's just a matter of when.

I've spent 45+ years working and never had to deal with emails. More often than not there wasn't enough time in the work day to get everything done, much less have to deal with emails. Hell, even phone calls took away from production time.

I'd just as soon they devoted the time to production too. There are plenty of folk here who are familiar with the situation who can clarify for those with doubts.

More EVOs--less engagement

Tell it! I have 199+ unreal work emails in my Q, that's down from 600+ last time I took vacation, and that's with inbox filters on!

This is not Cloud related, but where the hell are you buying your electronics from? The trunk of someones car? If I added up all the equipment I had that died in my life, I still couldn't match your bad luck. Jesus, you are like a black hole for electronics. Tens of thousands of dollars of gear that died on you. Insane!!
I hope by now you have learned to buy the extended warranty, they seem perfectly suited for your ill luck.

I don't know if 95% is correct, yes they will die, but aren't you getting USE out of this stuff until it breaks or becomes obsolete? Why buy anything but food, with the mentality of "95% of what you will buy will end up a useless brick"? And no offense, but saying your electronics will die, its just a matter of when, really isn't that much of an epiphany. But comparing things that die early to things that will die eventually isn't a fair comparison. My new pc frying isn't the same as my original Linksys router finally dying out.

Please don't take this reply as being agro because i am flummoxed not angry or trying to talk down.

turning it up all the way and loading it light and hovering it all down at once. it's the camping up in the higher range that did mine in. There are plenty of clouds out there with no problems. Mine appears to have been one of the suspect ones that lasted a while since I didn't stress it.

Sometimes the 'when' is decades later. I had a stereo amp ($75) that worked for 30 years. An inexpensive TV ran every day for me for 16 years before the high voltage transformer died. I've got a 24 yr. old car that's never had an electrical problem and has had the same amp in it for about 20 years. I just replaced my outdated AV receiver after 14 yrs. It still works great though, just doesn't have HDMI, etc.

I don't think mine is as old as his, but it's still working fine and I do go up to high temp range on a regular basis.

@stickstones --Thanks for the explanation. I just never heard that term. I like the sound of it though...The Dab Method. Sounds like :science: is involved!!

Edit: My OG ticker of 16-18 months young, still going hard, just with a new owner as of yesterday. Hated to let it go, but a friend used it a few times with noticed some pain relief which he hadn't noticed with the same meds and using his current bag blowing vape. Ya, ya, i know, what are friends for, right?

Thanks ... I'll get by ... but the Cloud is still my favourite vape so I will miss it until I get my EVO (and hopefully when I get my Cloud+ repaired the next time, it will be repaired without the fatal flaw :))
