I shop around and go into the brick and mortar smoke shops that carry them.
They have varies sizes so you have to bring in your stem with a silicon wide gasket (OMICRON TIP cut to fit).

i sort through the pile just to find on.

You can order one on line if you have a local glass blower near by!
I kind of figured that, considering each stem is slightly different. Unfortunately, I live up in remote Arctic nowhere. No glass blowers...but we do have snow blowers:D

I'll have to get creative....or wait until I get to civilization at Christmas...

Thank you for the response, Ataxian.

Taxi have you sent any in to PV to have the custom like that other person did so you have a reg chillum stem that can go in directly? I do thing PV should start making them the correct size as I think a bunch of people who use the solo dry would buy them including me. I love the chillum.

For those who saw that pic of my solo cup, I finally used it out yesterday and it worked great. The only issue is turning it on and knowing when the warm up is done. Since it was my first time I didn't like all the fumbling around with it but that should get better with maybe a better method. I might heat up outside the cup since it goes in and out really easy. I used the gong stem with a comdom tip and it worked great. I am sure if I cared I could put a straw around the tip but I don't really care as a glass straw is still a straw and I don't see why it would make anyone look any harder at you. The funny thing is I put my finger over the top of the cup with the straw in between the fingers as if I was drinking a liquid.

Thoughtful of you to ask, Dreamerr. I would certainly be a customer...

How does damage to the cap occur? I noticed that there is already a slight gap between the bottom of the cap and the top edge of the 2nd black factory O ring.

Cheers

On mine the threading is stripped at the bottom with a full size o ring it no longer catches, I was very careful with not overturning it but it happened anyway if you look back someone had a picture of what the damage looks like.

@ataxian, great to hear you like the PVHE stem. Could you tell me:

1. With your set-up with stock stem, glass screen on bottom and SS screen on top, how many clean, no popcorn hits do you get on level 3-4?

2. How many hits, or how long (e.g. 0.5 cycle, 1 cycle, 1.5 cycles) do you get before flavour becomes unacceptable to you and you quit the load?

3. How close to completely spent is the load at this point?

4. With the PVHE stem, have you noticed any change for better or worse on the above points?

Thanks in advance
TF
Sorry not to get back to you!
The only problem with the PHVES is I have to use level 3 instead of 4 with a stock stem.
Very smooth and extremely medicating!

I set up my CHILLUM tip on it.
It's good the way it comes.
Small glass tips are just more civilized!:brow:

No I haven't I just use a OMICRON silicone tip and cut to fit!

I'm designing a water pipe to use with all my vaporizers in a CAD program.
The glass blower who builds it for me I will hand over a handful of CHILLUMs to fit on some stems at the same time.
Both Stock and PHVES. I like both for different reasons.

The glass tip being smaller I prefer.

On another thought:

The PURE OG was knocking me out in the middle of the day.
WHITE WIDOW OG daytime is not only tasty it relaxes the heck out of me!

I still miss GIRL SCOUT COOKIES.
For some reason this strain agrees with me?

Water path or DRY!

If you bring all your stems maybe the glass blower will make some as I am sure he can get business on this side of the border and that would be nice. A high efficiency chillum wow. It would be great if he can make solo accessories so I don't think it hurts to ask:shrug:. I am sure all of us this side would be grateful when we need a new stem.

Not a bad ideal!

GCS is one of the most popular strains I hear. I had some GSC taffy that was excellent, the right balance between heady and body.
OG Kush is another hybrid that when done right is up there in terms of popularity and delivering on promise.

I had the same issue but eventually the LED started working again.

Thx...you're the only response. Unfortunately, mine has not began to work again. Guess I'll try to hold off on sending it in until I can get a backup of some kind. I'd hate to be without it!

First off, Howdy, welcome to the Forum. Congrats on the Solo and Solo Mio, I'm sure we'll have it sorted out quickly.

Yes, it does, or should. Tim has a lot of irons in the fire, he's taking a leading role in the family business and that takes him out of the area. I'm trying to catch up with him as well, I'll pass the word to him when I do.

There was a surprising amount of discussion about which model to use, Beta testers evaluated 4 types total I think. I tested all four for him (there was actually a fifth that failed test...). It came down to two, I'm not sure which he finally went with, but either was fine IMO. There was also some discussion on what value fuse to use, but that too I think is resolved.

My guess is it's an oversight, a very solid car cord should have been in the box, one of the two I have here?

You know you can also charge it while you drive. And just because you're in a car (boat, motorhome, whatever....) doesn't mean you can be parked somewhere....

I'm not sure where the OP is, but I'm happy to see it's added to the list of places members think you should go......

Thank you OF. I figured Tim must have good reason for taking a while to respond. I'll wait another week before reaching out with a follow up email.

Love, love, LOVE the Solo so far. So much so that my wife and I now have a matching set!

Maybe "OF" could trouble shoot it for you?

Would if I could. I've got noting useful to contribute. The original request was for someone with similar experience (which I don't have...) and there's not enough resources at the customer end to get very deep into it. It's evidently a connection or device (LED) failure (basically an internal connection issue...). Meaning most likely mechanical, perhaps thermal or shock related, but noting a customer is likely to fix at home. Since the software and rest of the LEDs seems fine, it's most likely an indicator problem, one you can live with?
