Alright, well seeing as I have gotten no response from multiple posts and PM's over a couple days, and there are no implicit statements regarding disqualifying second hand owners from the Cloud trade in program, I am going to assume that there is no really big deal in regards to this and purchase it.
I understand you are busy guys, but giving us an answer would take all of 30 seconds. I've done my due diligence here.

Here is some clarity on the $250 trade in perk. Initially, this was only for the ORIGINAL owner of the Cloud but we accepted a few contributions from 2nd owners so we decided that we should be fair to everyone else and allow anyone that owns a Cloud to trade in their existing unit for the next generation VapeXhale vaporizer.
Here are the specifics:
If you own a functioning Cloud that is under warranty, you can upgrade and keep your unit.
If you own a functioning Cloud that is OUT of warranty, you can upgrade and keep your unit.
If you own a non-functioning Cloud that is OUT of warranty, you can upgrade and keep your unit.
If you own a non-functioning Cloud that is under warranty, you can upgrade and when you send your unit in, we will give you a $50 credit towards any VapeXhale purchase. (Folks who have already paid for the Cloud+ upgrade but have not received their replacement would be in this bucket, just open a support ticket and we will tag your account so you only have to pay an additional $50 to get Project Nimbus)
I believe this covers every scenario. On a side note, we've received several emails for an even higher tier so we introduced the Nimbus Family Member perk for $5,000. This perk will allow you to become a VapeXhale member for the weekend. We will fly you out to the next trade show that we do, housing, food, and clothing will be provided to you. When we win, you will be able to party with us! At the last Cup that we won, we partied at the American Idol house so it should be good times. If anyone wants to check it out, just visit the page.

...but the more i watch videos of the Cloud....ugh, I just cant justify getting a sub.

The Family Member perk aint bad if you think of it like a vacation you saved up for. Plus you get to keep a VXH Nimbus and all the other perks of the $1k.

I hear you on that. I have gone back and forth on a sub myself. Vapexhale pretty much sealed the deal for me by introducing a $250 Nimbus option. Now the only debate in my head is which Nimbus option do I get. I really want to try a Sub to see what the difference is but the whole cloud experience is just so amazing and will be even more so with the Nimbus. When (if) a new version Sub comes out that addresses a lot of the community concerns I will look at it again but the Nimbus feels like a premium ride at a bargain price if you get in now. Just think to how fast the Cloud was selling before these upgrades.

I didn't say dangerous... I said no sex appeal, two handed and not simple to use (that's obvious from the pics), could burn you, and ugly.
I own the original cloud, and yes it gets hot... Never been burned though. Chicks dig it. It's not ugly. Moreover, for the money, you can attach a Cloud to any 18 mil water pipe...
Cloud: 4 points; sex appeal and not ugly, simple to use (I find people's reaction priceless when I just say--yeah, you just rip as hard as you can--that's it!), versatile, and big clouds.
Subliminator: 1 point for great cloud production, but probably best for NASA astronauts.
And just being funny with my opinion on the matter--no offense intended at all...
That was a different situation though. The cloud never became hot enough that it would burn people the moment they touched it. The Sublimator has many exposed parts that are directly at vaporization temperature. Don't get me wrong though, I like that vape and I am sure Enrico will come up with a good solution for it in the future. But it definitely requires the most consideration in use in it's current iteration - and many users have already ended up with battle scars.
That's not to say the cloud can't burn a person... I've got a scar that can prove that. But that only happened because I blew water into it while it was resting on my leg. All vapes carry a degree of burn risk, but most try to mitigate that risk through design. At the moment, the only protection in the Sublimators design is a handle.

Good to know we can review and compare products we have never used. Wouldn't want this place getting too factual.
Users of the sublimator will often tell you that the only reason they got burned in the first place, is mishandling on their part. I was being a stoner and careless...that being said, as you say...Enrico will probably develop the product over time to adress these concerns, much like the folks at Cloud...my point is, it's irritating when members who have not even tried the damn thing start with this cloud vs sub mud slinging...give me reviews and solid facts, not personal assumption.
Seems some members are fond of this statement, yet keep the mud slinging going in a nice, passive aggressive manner. Not the way I like to roll personally.

ahhh.. i can learn vicariously from others... saves me the time, money, and effort; the thread on sublinator talks about people burning themselves. It also says it performs very well. I also watched videos of people using it... yeah, I am good with it... looks like a "pain" to explain to people how to use... pun intended.
I take assessments of the sublinator on the forum as "factual" since i have no reason doubt the posters' veracity.
Full disclosure: I am also turned off by many of the videos of its use; they are just a bad image that I don't care for--and, therefore, would not buy the product.

Last week I had the opertunuty to give Project Nimbus a go and was impressed to say the least. I have hit the Cloud and Cloud+ but Project Nimbus blew both out of the water. The first thing I noticed was the difference in heat up times. With the original I felt it took about 8min for proper temp to be reached(never timed it) and PN was ripping strong only a few minutes after turning it on. The clouds were much more dense so I didn't have to take a full inhale to get the vapor I wanted. After a few bowls of flowers we switched to wax in the "two cap" method. The flavor was amazing! It completely vaporized each load leaving no residue or sticky mess behind. I mentioned at the time how it could be a nail killer because the flavor and vapor density. Thank you for the demo SM55, it's a winner in my book!

Don't get me wrong. I want to try the sub out to see what all the raves are about. I am not hating on it (maybe poking a little fun at the price) and think that there might be something unique about a high powered conduction/convection device. However, I really struggle with the price they charge for it. I will preface this sentence by stating clearly that I don't have one and never used one and can only go by what I have read in the sub forums and what is on the PV site but for the starting price of $500 you get what looks like part of a curling iron attached to a hose that you suck air through. For even more money than that you can get a kit so you an actually use the device if you don't have a glass piece. You have to wait 30 minutes for it to fully heat up, risk burning your flesh while you are medicated, and have to use a kill a watt to figure out what level you are subbing at so you can take a sharpie and mark on your $500 sub your ideal level. For $500 you can get a Nimbus that will supposedly have a super fast heat time and a high end limited edition Swagger tube. For someone who can't justify spending several thousands of dollars a year on new VAS and GAS I have to think long and hard about what I acquire.
If someone with a sub living on the west side of Portland would let me try out a sub I would be thrilled. I honestly could see myself purchasing the next rev of a Sub (assuming there is one) once Enrico incorporates some of the feedback from the forum members.
For $500+ I am paying for the vape experience to be awesome. It should be easy to use, work when I want it, be easy to clean, and look beautiful on my countertop. The Nimbus wins this round for me.
