The marks have been caused by regular screens, that's why they are working on the O ringed version. Currently its a two material process and it's not the way they want it cause it has aluminum when they could make it 100% stainless steel.

Little update....0.1g seems to work like charm. I do prime it a bit by taking small hit first, second hit I take 'full-on', al lungs on deck lol...

Does the minivap work well with a Solo sized bowl tepictoton?

I think Roger d has it correct. For me, when using the minivap by myself, it seems like smaller loads are more efficient. In comparison to my solo I think I am loading less now in the minivap. In the solo i used to load it up always right to the top, about .2g. Now I am fiddling with much smaller loads and it seems the minivap is more effective and efficient in this way.

Please, I only have this vaporizer for a few days now, so take my opinion lightly .

I love it, really I just used this kosher kush in it, thinking allready new its flavor from the solo...But with the minivap honestly the taste is out of this world.

And if after more testing it really turns out less is more with this machine, well, that would only make me more happy...

Do you think 0.1g with the MV is giving you the same buzz as 0.2G with the solo?

Am only saying as stated above that in the case of the minivap using less herb seems to be giving a more thorough extraction.

I will however say, and having had a solo myself and enjoyed it for a long time, and still having it as my trusted back-up, so in no way dissing it, the taste of the MINIVap far exceeds that of the solo. That will be known as a fact in due time

Sidenote: I guess taste might not be so important in a way, yet I personally think that there is still only little we know about this plant and its chemistry...what if some of the major medicinal benefits turn out to come not from thc or cbd, but from any of the many different other terpines found in the plant?

Back to solo versus MINIVap: I do feel like the solo is capable of releasing most of the flavours present, but it feels a bit like it is releasing it all a bit forced in the first hit. This seems to put stress on certain elements of the flavour, yet diminishes other more subtle aspects of it. This might be what the conduction versus convection comes down too? I do feel like a bigger palet of different flavours is offered too me by the minivap in comparison to the same strain and the same bong but then with the solo as my vape...

Will try and see if i can get my friend to sit arround this weekend and maybe have a camera with us so we can give side by side comparison of solo to minivap.

My bubbler stacks bubbles almost al the way to the top with the minivap hihi with the solo and modified gong it only slowly bubbles...hope to catch a nice shot of that for you'll...just saying it now just in case making the video does not happen soon. In short, feels like breathing Solo is more like milkshaking lol

Oh and when going into standby mode, I have noticed if I press the - button, it will go back to my previously set temperature. I believe someone here asked about that some pages back and it was not really clear.

BTW I don't see how you guys can go thru such massive bowls lol, a couple inhalations on my .1 and I'm already out of order, especially when its my first one. Maybe at the very end of the day I could understand. The question is, how do you finish em ?

I go through 2-3g a day (licensed for up to 5g) so a .1g bowl isn't all that much ... when you start at 6 in the morning and go until 11-12 at night everyday ... 17-18 hours of medication per day it's tough to not build up a bit of a tolerance ... any less than 2g / day and I find it doesn't quite maintain my balance and any more than 3g a day and it's just waste ... I don't get any more medical benefit and don't get any higher (just might end up making me a little tired)

I guess it's my tolerance, I kind of force it mid range cause of supply. Fortunately soon I'll be able to medicate on will. I prefer to go thru multiple smaller bowls cause the taste is more fresh, the actives more evenly distributed. When I can't afford more, I optimize

I get it ... before I used it to control my "issues" I could easily (if worked at a little) keep my usage to .5-1g / day ... that's what it was for years when it was just recreational ... I decided that I can make a lot more money actually being functional more often even if it costs me an extra $400-$500 / month.

When my tolerance was at it's lowest a few grams would last me a month and a session wouldn't be more than .05g or less and I'd be more blasted then if I smoked 2g in a sitting now ... it's a trade-off ... I can't get as high but I'm a happier person on a whole and much more functional.

Yes I totally see what you mean, I used to go thru more, less blasted, more medicated, but it's not cheap. I worked a lot and it's about to pay. I'm gonna be able to afford around a gram instead of the .5, that's a start

Don't give up hitting the MV even if the wax disappeared, I think it goes kind of inside the liquid pad and if you continue to pull and keep the pad hot you get a lot more hits. I agree with you that proper instruments can't be beaten by the liquid pad.

Question(please don't shoot me if this has been asked and answered before), is there a car adaptor available?

Took the MINIVap woth me to a shop with a friend last night and literrally blew all that were present away

I do however have noticed this, once it is up to temp, and this can take a long long while sometimes (+15min), the green setting defintely gives me some nice clouds too and preserves flavor for longer.

Loading micro doses in the basket works great, especially flavourwise. For cloud chasing loading straigth into the chamber at about the .2-3mark seems to give me the best results for longer multiple person sessions...

Hope that in the future something can be done about the long warm-up time, and possibly the standbuy mode to stay off at least untill the unit is fully up to temp.

is it okay to leave the unit plugged in for longer periods? I always like to have it on standby just in case...

and lastely, the led lights are soo bright...no way to dm them a bit? I mean, they do attract attention and sometimes that is the opposite of what we want...

Shouldn't take that long to get to green. From a "cold start" to green, it only takes about 3- 4 minutes with my older unit.
