Shit I wasn't paying that much back there. It is all in who you know and how far up the food chain that person is.
exactly.. it's who you know and what type of buds they get.. Or if your growing, the type of buds your produce. but 400 is a lot WOW.

I want to respond to this really quick to alleviate any confusion from the general forum:

The Pinnacle will only blink when it senses battery life is below 80%. And this value is not really accurate (has to do with estimates and battery voltage profiles). This is actually why you need to charge your unit fully when you receive it. It allows the battery circuit to get an accurate read on the battery charge level.

Even if your Pinnacle is not blinking when on the charger, it is still charging. So you don't have a defective unit, you just haven't been taxing the battery level too much.
Engineering, could you clear up exactly how long the initial first charge should be? The instructions say 3 hours, but Gotvape recommends an iniitial charging time of 6 hours. I hope I didn't sacrifice any battery life...I only charged it for 3 hours the first time.

EDIT: And how long should subsequent "full" charges last?

I am very close to picking one of these up. If I remember correctly Gotvape is currently out of stock on the WT?? I will probably wait until they have them ready to ship so I don't have to play the wondering when it will ship game. I am also finding the higher temps work better for me, and have recently switched to using a vaporgenie for my main portable simply because its so easy to use, and it does get me those near combustion temps. It just requires that you pay close attention so you don't burn. The PN has had my attention for a while now, I hope this one works for you SLIM. I've sacrificed my spare solo so I could try this one out. I'm going to try to contact gotvape to find out the status of the WT.

SliM, I don't think I would recommend this vape for you...it doesn't seem to have been designed for most of the ways you like to vape. Obviously we all want to know what you think of it, but I doubt you will use it much. While my abv comes out looking completely spent, this vape's high temp is 190C, and much higher could be a safety issue. It shouldn't get anywhere near the 410F you seek. I also like it more as a 10-15 minute session vape and don't get much useful from it in the first two minutes. Seems like the FV is more down your alley. I am very interested to see if you are able to get it up there, though!

You will probably like the vape, but not think it is for you. I hope I'm wrong, though, as I like it more and more each day.

Thanks for the response, Engineering. Just want to add that I experienced this issue when the unit was extremely low on battery. As I stated previously, I had already went through several sessions and was getting the low battery indicator (blinking white/blue). Then when I plugged it in I had a solid blue light. This was after a full charge.

If the light is blinking white/blue then wouldn't that mean that the PN thinks the battery is below 80%??

I ordered mine from Gotvape on Saturday. They said the Hydrotubes are expected to arrive today, and my order will ship tomorrow morning.IDK if that will happen or not though. So I guess I'm playing the wondering when it will ship game. Definitely call them first to check stock, because their website always shows them as available even when it's not.. Hopefully I'll get my shipping notice tomorrow!!

But SliM vapes in a very unusual fashion. I think the PN gets high enough for just about anyone but him. He wants a two minute session at 410F...two things this vape doesn't do. If you don't mind taking your time in a session (not forever, just like ten minutes), I'd wager the effect from it would be fine for you.

Yea... I am a weird one. Think of me as a "combuster" who tolerates most vaporizers. Ironically I think there are allot more people out there like me, they just don't know it because they have not found a vaporizer that works for them... so they just stick to smoking/dabbing. Speaking of which this next month is my one year smoke free!

The temperature number to me is always a "guide" more then a real number. I am kind of hopeful that with some technique and a little luck I can get a efficient enough extraction to make me comfortable.

My :2c: about a possible PRO model, in order of importance:

1. Have 3 temp. settings instead of 2. Low (370) Med (390) High (410)
2. Slightly increased airflow
3. Increase battery time by 25%
4. If possible, ability to use while charging

If it's possible to achieve these things WITHOUT CHANGING THE SIZE of the PN, TRVB would have a worthy successor, IMHO. If the upgrades cannot be achieved right now while retaining the same size, wait for technology to catch up and release it then.

I am just guessing but I bet TVB is right on the edge of battery technology. I imagine they would need to wait another generation before we saw a boost in battery like quite like that.

You're probably right SLIM. I'm pretty much an idiot when it comes to electronics. But I do think that one more temperature setting (410) and ability to use while charging could be a realistic goal. The Inhalater already has those capabilities, if I'm not mistaken. And the size is similar to the Pinnacle.

RS: I would definitely use the tip. Without it the mouthpiece can get uncomfortably hot. Just don't use the "flavored" mouthpiece...they can melt.

just to affirm.. but to clean the mouth piece and or gong piece. do we use alcohal 91% or do we just use hot water? or do we use boiling water? Thanks, Id just liketo know, my pinnacle has been used daily for about 3 weeks or whenever trvb released it. and a lot a day. so it's time to get to cleaning of bullet and pieces. also this is for the bullets too. alch or hot or boiling water?

Rrose I don't use anything on the mouth piece and have had no issue with heat but we are all different. I did have one clear tip with the one flavored tip is that what you are talking about? I believe the clear one was luck of the draw. Some get two flavored some get one and one but I could be wrong. I haven't even tried the clear or flavored.

Sticks, I am not done but it is looking fine. I had to use the solo while it was charging and I am bullet 4 of after the charge. I got my regular 7 with the first charge. I just want to be sure. I hope there is no damage but you would all know that better then I.

Yes, slim I understand that is they way you write the reviews. We also do put some of what we like sometimes in them. I do recall you doing that at times but made it clear it was your preference. My point was that I doubt this is a vape you will like but was still interested in your review cause you are very precise and I like that.

Welcome jam I think you will be pleased even if it isn't at the top of the heat scale for you.

@ IF II INI C IHI you can do any of the three according to TRVB. I think after the plug issue we need to double check with engineer on boiling both the mouth piece with the screen in place and bullet.

Just an FYI: I got an auto response from gotvape saying that part of my order was out of stock, so I am guessing they either have not received the new WT's or the system just has not been updated yet. In any case, it looks like I might get them separately.

this is true... the guy i get from now... i do not know where he is on the herb chain but i am sure its a few hands down from the top. a couple of years ago i used to get straight from the grower and was getting quality flowers for only $225 an oz. unfortunately the pressures of NY legalities forced him to stop (no he never got busted... just paranoid) and my prices went up to the $400.00 i know now :( i could get it cheaper but i would need to buy in bulk and i just can't have a QP of flowers around :(

So here is my review. I don’t write reviews the traditional way only because you get those with others. I write about stuff for my needs and my thoughts about different things. If I disagree with something in the real reviews I state it at that time. We all have different needs depending on why we use a vape and where we use it.

So here we go. I was pleased when I got the PN. It is very light but feels durable. It is a nice small size. The mouth piece was a little loose but I have realized if you make sure it is pushed in all the way around it really isn’t that bad at all. I have to put my finger nail under it to get it off so by no means will it fall off not even with the long glass straw I use at times. I have turned it upside down and waddled across my house with it in hand by my side.

The bullet looks very kewl and I absolutely love the screen on the mouth piece as well as the bullet. It is soft like silk. It looks and feels like the fine kief screen. This makes it real easy to brush off after each use with the black brush that comes with the unit. The back of the black brush empties the bullet very nicely. I am not sure if that is what it was for but it is now. Since the screen in the bullet is so fine nothing really gets through. I have tried but I am sure if I try harder I can make stuff go through. I bring this up to say, I doubt any herb will fall to the bottom of the chamber. Not to say I won’t q-tip iso it but I don’t think I will see anything on the q-tip unless just resin from the hot air. Reclaim I suppose but it will take forever to build up.

So to load the bullet. I had fights with it for days trying to find a good way. I want things as easy as possible and one hand is better then two. I also don’t want to have to load pack finish loading. Way to many steps. What have I tried. I tried using my hands, using the pipe tool spoon, pushing the herb in a pile and shoving it in, sucking with my mouth over the screen which was a pain cause of size(the tip on the other vape capsule makes a huge diff to do that), I even shoved it in a film canister filled with herb and twisted to my hearts content but still had to push it down and put more. Well Jam said why not put a piece of silicon over the end on the screen side. A genius she is I say. I put on a 1/4" ID 2" in length on the end and walla suck away and perfectly filled. That tube is my best friend. I use it to suck stray herb out of all my vapes. It keeps them clean before you get to your iso. Also by sucking out the herb it can’t go anywhere else over time. The tube doesn’t fit inside the chamber of the PN but it will seal on the top for you to suck. You can use any straw as long as the unit is cooled down. Just my personal cleaning tip and I love to eat bits and pieces. Just an added note, I find fine grind works best although I use very course and it still produced but abv not as even.

Usage, I only use low temp so I do better then most. When I got the unit I had to same issue as has been reported. I got a solid blue light after charging for a little bit and then a few sessions and dead. Charge it over night to make sure it has a real charge. I think even after that I would not charge it less then three hours even if you get the blue solid light. I have reliably been getting 7 bullets of full 10 minute sessions. I don’t even try to turn on for eight cause right at the end of my 7th I get the blue/white light.

Speaking of sessions and time. I have reliably gotten, not that this can’t change, 70 minutes run time. The PN takes for me 1 minute to a minute 10 seconds to heat up and then from then to the 2 minute mark to heat up the herb to get a good vapor hit. So the real sessions are 8 to 8 1/2 minutes after warm up.
Charging, I already mentioned over night when you get it sorry you have to wait or go ahead and do one bullet but then let it go charge. I suggest no less then three hours if you run it down to recharge no matter what the light says. I think if you just re-up it do a full charge every now and again to be safe. I must be doing something right since I get so many sessions.

I love that the charger is not connected to the stand. I do think a tiny clip like they do on old style phone bases, not cells, to hold wires can be put on the base for people who like the wire connected. That would be the best of both worlds. I thought I would hate the base but I love it. Since the wire is not connected to it, it isn’t in the way. I use it every time to put my PN down since it can’t stand on its own. You can even use the base as a handle if you so desire.

Taste, is wonderful. If you take hits right after blue you will get zero visible vapor and some of the tastiest hits. You can also get a bunch of vapor filled taste hits as well once fully warmed. The taste does go down but not as bad as some other vapes. I can taste popcorn but never to that really really burnt taste.

WT, I think people who like water will love this cute little thing. It is built solid and I did actually knock it over yesterday on my dresser with no injury to that or the solo stem it fell on. I did lose some water. It is unlike me to knock stuff over but it helps you and of course I didn’t do it on purpose. The WT works well and its included pong is my preferred mouth piece for now. I think the WT can easily be taken with you anywhere you go. The PN and WT together is still small enough to use outside with one hand. You can even clear with one hand. I hold the WT with my forefinger and thumb and the rest of my hand is on the base. I then just use those to fingers to lift a bit and clear. PN is much smoother and no feedback with the WT.

Mouth pieces, as told to us by TRVB don’t use the flavored tips as they will melt. For those who got the clear unflavored one I am not sure if those will melt or not so check before usage. I never tried them. I like the feel of the regular mouth piece. It fits in your mouth nicely but it does get hotter then the pong mouth piece. I don’t find it uncomfortable at all but some say it is to hot on there lips. It doesn’t barely feel warm to me. I will say the vapor is hotter which is why I use the pong as my preferred mouth piece. The draw is more open not that there was an issue with draw to me but it is easier. I also put on a long glass straw in addition to the pong to give me a long airpath. I get just as smooth hits as I do with the WT and I get the feedback still.

Smell test which is very important to me. My smell test is how does it smell in a closed car when someone else enters. If a vape can pass this test then you can pretty much go anywhere. Just to say most fail but to different degrees. The solo passed but the PN did way better. The smell person went into a store, I waited to me a long ass time for it to heat, and then did about 3/4s of a session before the person came back. The person came in the car had to sniff hard as I am still blowing out vapor in the person direction and barely a smell. I am very pleased with this.

Cleaning, should be easy. We have to check with engineer to make sure after the plug issue, but we were told by TRVB, the mouth piece can be boiled...we have to find out if it can be with the screen and if the bullet can be boiled as well. If so then you have a highly cleanable unit. As I had said I doubt much if any will fall through the bullet screen to the lower chamber. My guess is the only thing you might get in there is some floating resin. A bit of iso on a q-tip should take care of that if it happens.

I guess it is time for the bad to me.
As you know we all do want more battery life but if still get 70 minutes I am ok with that.
No car charger as of yet but I am going to use one of those converter things. I don’t know how practical it is in daily use because it takes time to charge. A passthrough would be a better solution.
I didn’t tell you how to power on cause that is one of the I don’t likes. You momentarily touch the power button let it go and on it goes. Wonderful you might say, but no cause that makes it very easy to go on in your pocket, purse, knapsack, or for me even moving about with it in my hand. We will need a case or cover to fix that for going around and about. I had it in my pocket yesterday and it didn’t go on but then again it was dead.

If I missed something let me know cause I don’t think organized when I do stuff like this.

Edit: I highly recommend this vape and it has become my favorite for out and about. I will update on that in a month. For medical users this is a great vape for stealth and getting your meds.

One think I forgot to add to the I don't like list but there is nothing we can do about it, is heat up time to me is painfully long. I can handle about 45 seconds and I am fine(shorter is always nicer) but a minute and over is rough for me.

3 Hours should be just fine. No matter what amount of time you do your first charge at, it will not "limit" the battery life. It may just make the charging indication confusing (being out of battery but then not blinking when on the charger) Once the battery is fully charged - regardless of when it is fully charged, the software will re-calibrate to allow maximum battery life.

We rate the full uses per charge at 4. Depending on how you use it, you may get longer life - consider it a bonus ;) everyone's mileage will vary.

You may Boil your Mouthpiece with screen installed, it will not harm that plastic. You do not want to boil the tips, as they are a lower temperature plastic. FYI we have discontinued flavor tips for Pinnacle, new units will receive a black and a clear tip.
