Man, that thing looks nice!

Orange is my favourite colour, why did I get a black one? :o

Enjoy it :brow:

Shes a beaut! The orange SSV was my first choice if my endless search for a Mind Eraser ultimately ended up a dismal failure. That thing is purrrrrrrrrrty!

I was wondering about that myself as well.

At first I thought it was how he experienced his SSV, but after looking at that thumbnail a little longer I think his SSV might be chromed or something.

Elaborate please, mr. Beer :)

Its still an SSV, it was just one of their limited edition ones they produced a handful of before they came out with the Sublimation series. Basically its a black SSV (with the rough finish) that then had that crazy ass design laser cut throughout it. These pictures dont really do it justice. Its a really really neat looking vape that you can get lost in (once you get lost in it) :p

Vapeworld has a more professional pic that does it more justice :)

Well I just picked up a orange blemished SSV from ebay and a hands free adapter from Puffitup. Should I throw down on a bong adapter too or is the tubing enough for a 14mm joint?

Get a Gong adapter off of etsy if you have a 14mm female downstem.. it will make vapor bonging much more appealing instead of trying to create your own connection. not saying it wouldnt work or you shouldnt try it out, but if you have the money, the gong is really worth it.

I was looking for them earlier but no luck. :(

Dude, just go to the 7th Floor website and pick one up from there.
OR
You can email them directly and inquire about picking up a GonG WP adapter. They have always been really helpful and receptive this way. :2c:

Like he said, its not necessarily *needed* but it dang sure is nice and convenient. Especially if you have only one piece of tubing and you have to continuously remove the mouthpiece to bongit. I went ahead and ordered some extra tubing with my adapter order so I could have 2 setups always ready to go.

If you have a 14mm downstem, the hose slides right in. Those adapters are a pain in the ass.

It is a pain in the ass to have to remove the mouthpiece but you get the hang of it pretty quick. You have to remove it anyway to install the adapter unless you keep 2 pieces of hose around.

7th Floor doesn't seem to want to ship to Canada (from the site), their calculation thing is not functional when I put my address in. :/

Have you emailed customer service directly? I didnt bother ordering through the site itself (as what I wanted was kinda special order) I think a couple of their resellers might sell them too.

Like I said, its not ABSOLUTELY necessary, but I have used my SSV with and without it - I prefer with.

That I haven't done - I think I'll try it without when it gets here and I'll just make my decision then.

Looking forward to this. :)

Howdy All! New to the forum, and have purchased a SSV and a MFLB in the same week! 10 year smoker converted in 2 days, largely due to lurking on this forum. Thanks for the knowledge and advice.

Has anyone had any one had success with painting their SSV? Base & Unit? If so, any advice?

Welcome and let me say excellent choices on your purchases! I have the same two vapes and have been incredibly happy ever since I got them.

Re. painting the SSV: If you go a number of pages back you'll see that someone had great success drawing on their SSV with special coloured pens I think, looked really cool. Other than that 7th floor offer to put any design/photo onto newly bought units, although I guess that doesn't help you now... To update mine I've just put in an order for a custom-glass temperature knob and whip-mouthpiece, you'll see on the 7th floor site they have some really tasty designs on offer!

Thanks Wilf for the response! I had checked out that color pen paint job a few pages back and was thoroughly impressed. I wish I were as adept as that User's cousin, wow.

I'm thinking of applying a sheeny spray paint and couple layers of clear coat. If I muster up the courage, I'll share my results

Thanks for the comments guys! Everyone who sees it is just blown away by the artwork. It's still one of a kind and have used it everyday for over a year now. The colors and everything are still bright as the first day. He used prisma colors and sharpie.

Well i finally got a chance to snap a picture of my new full set-up. Hooked up to a 100ml EHLE with a gong whip adapter from etsy. Hits nice (:

The green one is not mine. It happens to be one of my buddies illadelph bong. Its one of the freezable ones so you can take the bong apart and put the top in the freezer. The little chamber you see is filled with some liquid/gel kind of stuff probably similar to a sports injury icepack. Anyway the $1400 bong was nice to have around hooked up to the ssv. Hes got some more add-ons for smoking like a tree perc, ash catcher and all that good stuff. makes mine look TINY. :o

I love that picture of the Silver Surfer hooked up to the bong. What kind of adapter are you using? Are you just sticking tubing through the downstem?

No, i am not just sticking the tube down. Although that would probably work too, I have a gong adapter i bought off of etsy. Its basically a 14mm adapter that fits into the end of the whip and then can be dropped into any 14mm ground glass bong joint. It was about 15 bucks. I think it just makes life much easier then trying to fit the tubing down the downstem. Plus, with the adapter, clearing it is even easier.

I see your adapter!

I liked the 7th Floor adapters, I had one which broke and ended up ordering a few from glasstafarian on Etsy. I got 2 adapters for $20 and no shipping costs.

Of course, ANY fitting GonG adapter is a good start, but I think 7th Floor makes the best(GF second best :p)

Company Rep
Hi everyone!

This is Richard from 7th Floor. I'm a customer service rep for the SSV, DBV and the new LSV websites. I imagine that I've spoken with some of you ladies and gents before...

I've been lurking on FC for a while now, and I've finally decided to become active on the site so I can be a part of the discussions. If there are any questions/comments about 7th Floor, feel free to send me an email. =)

I wanted to bounce some ideas around here to get some feedback as well. For example, I was thinking about a wand that can attach to multiple hoses/mouthpieces that more than one person can use at a time. A "party wand" or something like that. What do you think?

Hi Richard!

First and foremost, THANK YOU! Your company makes a wonderful product! I surf daily with my SSV.

I would love to see a glass handle/mouth-piece with a water filtration system built in. I think that you would have many interested customers. Then again, it's just my :2c:

Cheers.
