Discontinued Thermovape Alpha Ultralite

My experience as well. Seeing the little orange glow in the middle after a good cleaning and burn always brings a smile to my face (and a wish that I could get the whole disk white again).

Ace: Batteries on their last legs can sometimes get the core to glow, but not enough to really work worth a damn. I found this more with my UltraLite holder (10440 cells) when I had a few that were lame from the factory (voltage looked good, took a while to charge, but under a 1A load, they died in 30 seconds or so, even right off the charger). Have you tried more than one or two different batteries? (shot-in-the-dark).

please let me know asap if you are successful. i am itching to pull the trigger on the eo ss core, but i wanna make sure i can use it!?! i know TET is working on adapters, but i doubt it is on the top of their list. i'd be all over that if you make some for us FC'ers.
I will definitely let you know as soon as I have functional pieces. I am the type to over design a project. It comes with the nature of precision machining. Measure twice, cut once. I should be able to get some machine time this weekend. We are making a couple new molds so most machines are making chips.

so after almost 2 years my man suddenly expressed interest in using an ecig again... and I already got rid of my AVA atomizers because there were not getting use. I reeeealy hate the idea of him using that cheap china based stuff when I know there is better. I will of course set him up with what we have on hand (stock 510 atty) for now, but I might be on the hunt for some kind of LV AVA.

Any reason he can't use one of your DART/Revo cores? I think they should work OK with e-juice too. I saved my UltraLite body for use with e-juice and one of my DART cores, but haven't tried it yet.

hmm, I do have a brand new dart core, just sitting here. I suppose it's worth a try. I'll see if he likes it when he gets home from work, unless someone steps in and advises against it. He would be using PG base, he doesn't like the taste of VG.

So I received my ultra on Thursday last week. All I have to say is that the torch didn't make it out this weekend! My ti is just sitting around all lonely.

The ultra paired with the 14500 aw imr is a friggin beast. The vapor production with hot off the charger batteries is impressive! I put more bho through my dart this weekend then I have in a month. All my friends were a little jealous after watching the clouds coming from the little ultra.
so glad I got one when I did. No more chinese ecig crap! Only american ingenuity!

My adapter project is currently on hold until I can buy a ceo core. I was told by email that cores are only being offered to existing pre-orders. Once all orders are shipped, they will become available for purchase. They also claimed adapters were in the works but no details available yet. The email also stated tampering with cores would void all warranty. I don't think carlo understood what i meant when I stated I can make my own adapters. He probably thought I was just trying to jimmy rig something( wich isn't the case).

Glad you are liking the Ultra Globbs :D Yeah, I sat on the fence for over a year on getting one myself. If they had not stopped producing the alpha line, I might not have jumped on board when I did either, so I am glad I finally took the plunge. I have put silicone on my second Ultra so now I have 2 with a black sleeve and can run them pretty hot before I have to put it down. I will keep in mind the poor battery, so I don't over heat it too much, but I can tell I would not be able to run and hold these as long without the silicone over them, that is for sure, at least not with the HP LV Evo cores.

Hey Jam, I don't know if PG based liquids will be better tolerated out of an AVA or dart. I can say that I put one drop of VG based liquid on top of some qwiso in my dart, fired it up, and gaaaaack! Bad move on my part. I don't know how hot the AVA and dart cores get, but I know there has been mention of toxic (acrolein) vapors produced when heating VG to a certain point. I don't know if this is an issue w/ PG based liquids. I can firmly state that, for me, VG in the dart is a definite no-go. Also, let me know if you get stranded for a suitable e-cig atty. I probably have an extra AVA that I could contribute.....

The 'trick' is, I think to completely clean the DART for the change over. "Oil and water don't mix" kinda stuff. Like splattering cooking oil and water in the kitchen pan, problems arise since VG boils off (vapes) at a lower temperature keeping the bulk of the core from making the (higher) magic temperature for THC until it's gone. Like the flavor part of the bud vapor profile, only more so. With fireworks. And burnt food products (think dirty oven....). Probably accounts for the lack of recommendations.....

Noah said some time back modest switch hitting was OK (not optimum) but thorough cleaning was a must.....which means no mixing to me.

I haven't really noticed an issue with heat yet. It gets warm but not hot to the point of putting it down. Plus after a few monster rips I am looking for a break! I handle super hot plastic all day so my hands are tolerant of heat.

I do take my ultra apart after every use. I'm all about preventative measures.

Thanks y'all, I found an AVA atty, it's heading my way, but now he is saying he doesn't want to have to drip and fiddle at work, so I am trying to get one of the clearomizers I had laying around to work for him for now. Hopefully it won't be too long before the Cera EL cart and the adapters are ready to use that w/ the ultra body. If I understand correctly the Cera EL cart should hold a bit of juice, but it's not clear yet as to how much since we really have not been given many details about them yet. No plans to use VG in his ecig, he hates the taste.

ultra all the way, I've had the ultra lite and it's not that much smaller. The AW IMR 14500 3.7v 600mAh with the ultra is a powerhouse.

Innovapor has no AVA atomizers, nor bodies (Ultramax, Ultra or Ultralite). Apex and Thermovape have (or perhaps had) the same ownership and share some parts (T1 and Ultramax).

Is the APEX base 3.7V unit a good model for The Low Voltage dart?
What's the battery life for the Apex if anyone knows?

If you're talking about the TV Ultra, then yes, it's got sufficient power to run them. Mine runs my LR AVA wonderfully, and for over a day's-worth of "heavy use." I haven't been able to down a freshly-charged battery with the LR DART yet, I just get too stoned to keep going... but I'd be comfortable with a battery for the day. The batteries that come with it (AW 14500 750mAh) are prime for the job I'd say.

Like I've said before, I've spent close to $200 on the Ultra/AVA/DART and I'd spend every last cent over again if I absolutely had to (fingers crossed and knock on wood!!)

Quetzalcoatl, I'm talking about whatever is still available and the premium setup for My LOW VOLTAGE DART, I know Thermovape is on the Cera Trail which there's no harm done in that at all, but I'm looking for an Ultra & was directed to the brand Apex, I'm not quite sure about it tho. I want the best for my Dart, my heavy hitter vape pen gets it hot enough but the battery lasts a mere 15 minutes
Thanks for any suggestions

The apex ultra is a highly recommended battery mod without any electronics to use the best possible batteries (AW IMR 14500 3.7v 750mAh or 600mAh) Your DART will thank you it will be getting the best. If that is what your worried about. Theres no electronics to ever go out. What are you not sure about mate?

Apex and Thermovape are one in the same are they not?? They were marketing them as ecigs before they started making other kinds of vaporizers. Am I wrong about this?? I thought they were all from the same source.

Yes, that is the Ultra body, I just got that one sent to me, from the same people, and it's good, at least mine is. Fits the 14500 battery.
