Yup. The glass gets hot as hell and even the air I'm drawing is hot, I can feel it. I tried raising the stem slightly but didn't work either. And yeah I just throw a little in there and try it. Idk, faulty unit I guess? :/

If it's getting hot it's working. My guess is this is your first vape. It takes a little while to get used to, long slow draw's and you should be getting vapor. also the quality of the bud affects vapor production. It's not like smoke you won't feel like your getting anything but when you exhale you'll see the vapor.

This is what I believe is his problem. He is thinking its going to hit him in seconds like smoke does. Probably isn't taking long enough draws, etc... The only thing I can say to him is post of video of how you use it and that is most likely the only way we are going to be able to determine if its user error(usually is) or if the unit is defective.

If your solo is getting hot enough and the air flow on both the stock stems is too retrictive, you might have better luck with one of ed's wooden stems or planet vape's modified stems. Those give you about 30% more air flow, although they diminish the concentration of the vapor somewhat. Also, like many vapes, the solo benefits from a slow draw.

I do like you sometimes because I can get more hits that way but it tastes better if finely grinded and small charges help vaporizing perfectly. With whole nugs you always have the bottom part much more vaporized and the flavour is less intense but lasts longer.

Grinding very fine is not necessary but grinding exposes more surface area to the hot air flowing through and makes for more even cooking of your herb.

I was waiting to see what you had to say about the solo from racksonic. I ordered one this morning from him. Thank you

I ran it all day yesterday. Each sesh on 7, took the battery down a number or so each time, and I got maybe 7 rounds before I decided to recharge. Definitely seems to be performing as well as my original m107 so far. It did have a bit stronger smell at first I had to do the dry run, on 7 before using it. The smell went away after a few more rounds of using it.

What am I supposed to do when my solo gets here? Fully charge it then let it burn at the highest temp for a while?

The lithium-ion battery should be fully depleted before charging the first time, after that you must see to it that you charge it when there is about 20% of power left, that is when the red light saying 'charge' starts blinking. That seems to be the best way to keep your battery 'healthy' After about three yrs. of use the battery will have to be replaced.

I think you were misinformed because I was told NEVER to fully drain lithium-ion batteries? I was told to just charge it every chance you get, to basically keep it topped off at all times. Unless you know something I don't?

Did you get the PVHEGong or the standard 18mm no Carb? I've had both, the High Efficiency has no restriction at all but with that being said the standard wasn't too bad. Especially with a mobius ION - that should reduce the drag. Are you maybe packing the stem to tight? Is your bud real dank and moist? All of these things could have an effect on your pull.

Edit - When I had the standard with Carb I hated it cause that fucking carb gets hot as hell after a few sessions in a row.
I have the standard with no carb. It just has a small hole which I noticed after. Not sure if I am supposed to plug and unplug the hole.

Well my second solo broke again. I plug it in I get two lights then it just blinks three lights and beep with the blue but no red. I can't believe the failure rate on this at least with mine.

It keeps doing it but then I held the two arrow buttons and it reset I guess and now it is charging. I wish arizer would inform us what is going on since soooooooooooooooo many recent posts have had similar issues.

:( sorry another one died Dreamerr, that newest line seems to be having the most trouble. That's why I went for the second m107 from ebay. So far it's working fine, only had it a day though. I hope you can get it worked out soon.

It is charging right now after doing magic tricks. I just hate having stuff that always has an issue. I will evaluate for another week or so and see what happens. If it fails again I will just return it for something else. I really like this little thing but failure is not an option if that is all I have with me when out or more importantly my intended reason up coming travel that I will need to be constantly medicated for. I got this cause it is easy to clean and fly with.

This has been addressed several times and i think the final conclusion was that you should not let it go beyond 40%, that is why Arizer programmed the yellow lights to go out after just a few sessions but the battery itself still has about 40%.

Mine is still broken, that is to say, I can use it fine using the power adapter but the charger won't charge the battery, I only get the red light saying 'charge' and the blue light.
The charger doesn't look broken though as the red light is on, so I suspect that there is a problem with the circuit board.

Hmmm....they (Arizer) told me that at the moment the (upper) red light starts blinking, there is a 20% charge left....
But how to measure anything like that ?

Red yours is a bad issue, if you can I would get a replacement. Mine cycled three yellows and the blue. I unplugged it and back in again it did it again. Because I didn't want to get really mad and throw it threw the wall I held the two arrow buttons and it did reset. I have used it before it fully charged and plugged it back in with no issue and now just reached full charge. If anything new happens I will let you know. I would still love to hear from arizer what the heck is happening with the new models. It is all presenting a bit different with each unit. I might email them or even call but I don't have time today.

Reliability is very important to me and I don't have another vape smell safe to travel with. If the cera comes out and the reports are good I may get that as a back up. I still have a little time before I go so I will choose then. I would hate to have to go into a head shop and get ripped off and then have to toss whatever I buy since most vapes stink to high heaven. I don't even understand how people leave water in there bubblers. I just got the tiny one and left the water in over night and omv it smells so bad I let soap sit in it. I wouldn't even think about reclaiming cause I would never let it build up. I need a smell emoticon or one holding its nose.

So what were your conclusions on the FlashVape as a back-up?

I got my new solo charging and I just have another question. How am I supposed to keep the herb from falling into the heater thing? It looks like it will fall right out of the stem.

I keep mine upside down when inserting or removing the stem.

Once you pack it stays pretty well. I, like gosaints keep it upside down until loaded - once it starts to toast it forms and wont really fall in to the core and if some does it will be small amounts. When you empty it just turn over your solo and shake it out. Once in a while I unscrew the top and a bunch of loose ABV will fall out - no biggie.

Get a second solo!

I really wouldn't travel with the solo as it isn't smell proof. It may not smell as much but sometimes ABV falls into the unit and if there would be dogs or something looking for something like that I would assume they would smell it out. Unless of course you empty it out before you go(open it up and you'll find ABV inside the unit) but even then I doubt you would get it all and you can't really clean the inside of it without possibly damaging it. From what I read the best travel vape is the Thermovape because you can boil the whole thing.

I held the flashvape but haven't used it. I heard it is quick like the MFLB. I thought it was very heavy and awkward. I can't say anything else since I didn't even turn it on.

Yep I was thinking of the cera better and still can boil. I just want to wait for the reviews.

Not to derail ,
but in short ,
what are the main differences between the Cera and the other TV vapes ?
I know it hasn't been released yet but why the buzz ?
