the top of the stereo matrix bub is dished like the Lev

Don't have any interest in the stereo. Like you've heard, I've read/heard the same. The stereo doesn't really add anything to the experience. $300+ vs $400+. Plus, the bubbler and style Frederick and others have/had, with the rounded top/dewaar is what I've always wanted.

EDIT: I've been to Dementia's Valley location. They don't have half the @#$% they claim they do.

There Are auctions, where the bidder is obliged to respect their bid for at least 24 hours, after that they can retract their bid if they want.
The seller is free to not sell at whatever price, if the piece isn't going for enough, they don't have to sell it.

There are also sale listings, where a seller lists a price.
The buyer can "dibs" a piece at the buy it now (BIN) price.
A buyer must respect their dibs, and I believe a seller is obliged to sell to a dibs.

Sometimes an auction will also have a BIN price, a dibs at the bin price will supersede any auction bids, the dibs is final.

Thats my "BoroMarket for dumies" summation anyway

Cool. How often do you see the that style Mobius and how are prices?

BigDaddyVapor,

here for the chicks
I don't like the new squared off ones. Think they're ugly as Hell.

Hopefully, I will be able to find a mint older model, I guess.

I really like the Ions myself, especially that wide base, but it sounds like you want their larger 'clear' bubbler.

Can someone verify that shape-change perhaps though?

I think I liked the look of the old Ions better than the new ones but I wasn't sure why and figured a difference only existed in my mind. Does anyone know if they actually changed the design recently?

Actually, I just want the Matrix. I'm intrigued by the Ion, because its a bit smaller than my other 2 main bubblers. Plus, after watching probably 30-40 videos of it... I love the way it percs. I get the design of the perc, which a lot of people think, doesn't work right (because all the holes don't fire). While I'm not set in stone on the full-size or Ion, I do prefer the size of the perc in the Ion. Though, any level of height build, I've seen in that perc, appears to fire perfectly and awesomely. So, I don't mind the cheaper option.

I'm afraid, that now they've changed that into a flat head... its going to make the older ones much more scarce. Unless, that new design has some functional element to it. One thing I didn't notice at first, is it slightly flares out (rounded) around the top edge, to I suppose match up somewhat with the base, to make it more symmetrical, maybe. Maybe they're Queen fans... its almost like fat-bottomed girls, that make the rockin' world go 'round...

Who knows. But, its definitely different. Check out Stone Monkey's Ion in this vid.

BigDaddyVapor,
I actually love the flat top, I feel like it gives it a more unique Mobius look. Also, compared to the old Ion, I think the new one performs better by producing more bubbles.

Ok i have a dilemma. I have been looking for a Mobius Glassworks 60mm Fixed Stem W/ Stereo Matrix for a few months and I finally found one on kultura. I bought it and later realized after some research that the glass I ordered has a Male joint and an 18mm female slide. I read that this setup is desirable as an oil rig and that the stem is much smaller than the female joint model. I don't have access to concentrates unfortunately. Should this setup be used for flowers or did I screw up?

Pnwbeard,

can i stick my male joint in there?
still very useable, just need a female to female adapter for flowers.

also had a get together a few days ago, we had 2 different size ions there.

It looks like it comes with a 18mm female slide. Im guessing that can be used for flowers. I was just worred about the thinner stem mostly and that I made the wrong choice at this price range

This is the same model

Unless you struggle to come up with the lung capacity to clear the male-joint stereo matrix, it shouldn't be an issue.

There's no reductions in the stereo matrix's tube (like an ice-catcher or splashguard) so the airflow should still be free-flowing. There might even be an advantage to having a thinner stream of vapor hitting the matrix perc.

Does anyone currently own A mobius matrix dewarr bubbler and a stereo matrix?
I own the matrix dewarr bubbler and I just wanted to know how the two compare?
is the stereo matrix a lot smoother than just a matrix?

i never knew that had 2 different size ions, until a few days ago when my buddy bought one that was smaller then mine.

I talked to a dude at ALT, that told me they variate. He couldn'y tell me why. He did say, they are frequently different in size. Go figure? He also said,,,they will be the same size in each delivery, but other than that they do vary.

So I was reading on what I assume is the Mobius Website (not that there's much there :|) and this little bit jumped out at me:
For those who desire a smaller waterpipe, we are developing a Micro Series. Each have a bent neck top, stand under 12" tall and feature a fixed downstem with a recessed 19 mm Bistibil glass fitting. The Micros are offered in two styles, the Matrix and the Reti.
These "Micros" sound like the Ions and the bigger Bubs that I have.
My Question is, do the bigger bubs actually have a name?
Because ALT only calls them "clear", and there's something unsatisfactory to me about these bubs being the only Mobius glass that doesn't have a size name
