Davinci by Karma

i almost hate to ask, but isn't the thread about the Davinci, not cannibis in a Davinci? Not trying to be a know it all, not trying to inflame etc.. but seems this herbal user was posting in the proper place and manner... ?

I almost hate to ask, but did you actually go back and read what transpired before? The my post was actually supportive of this, agreeing with Max that "posting style is a little at odds with what works best here at FC" got in the way. I still do, for whatever reason, the fellow's legitimate intent didn't get through. IMO Max indicated a reason that might be.

The assumption here is folks are vaping cannabis. Unless you make it clear that's not the case, misunderstandings are going to happen. IMO it's the poster's job to take that into consideration if he (or she) wants to communicate well. I don't see it as right or wrong as much as being understood or not.

You forgot that English is not his first language. He had said he was French.

Yeah, I get it and it was ambiguous and he should have noted what he was vaping (with much lower temps involved). Just sayin' ... Davinci thread, Davinci post .... I know I know ...

I'm not sure if I'm going crazy or if it's real. It seems like my vaporizer is constantly leaking cool air. With or without herbs, on or off. Anyone else experienced this or am I going of my knockers?

mod note: Thread merged with DV thread. A question concerning a specific model should always be posted in the existing vape thread. Please look over the forum and see how things are arranged before trying to create a new thread.

Howdy, welcome to the fun.

Guessing "going of my knockers" is some sort of misspelled Brit slang for going crazy, no, depending on what you call 'leaks cold air', it does. Even the 'straw' itself leaks. Not a big deal, IMO, nor uncommon. Some are even vented by design. I'd suggest you enjoy it (unless it's an excessive leak or you're pushing the DV too hard?).

Not to let it get you down, you still could be crazy......

both. just get hammered and sit down in front of the screen. I rolled through two threads the other day for a couple of vapes I was considering. One was 10 pages and the other 60. In the end I decided against getting either one. But I no longer buy a vape unless there is a good thread here first.

If you don't mind, I was just wondering which two vapes you decided to pass up on.

Is the DV having a hard time charging after a common problem? I haven't been on FC in months and plan on readimg what I've missed once im off work but the last couples days I've noticed my DV has triubling charging just like my previous model (current is a replacement from about 5 montgs ago). Will Karma still replace it?

BTW sorry Karma i still have my original unit and am still willing to send it in along with my current unit. I greatly apologize for never sending it in, my being vacant from the forums is becuase my best friend died and its been hard juggling work, school and life while dealing with it. Might sound like a stupid excuse but hopefully you'll understand.

Yes.

It is both, that's the point. Otherwise you could trust someone else to make your decisions for you? Most of life is a compromise, this is no exception.

My suggestion to find the time to at least scan them stands.

I am still waiting for it to come in. It was out of stock. The shop is trying to steer me towards the Puffit. I do not know much on that one.

I have both and recommend you stick with DV if you think it'll suit your needs better. I don't see the two as being the same at all. Convection (like in DV) beats conduction in almost every case (including this one, IMO) and DV does a good job with concentrates.

BTW you can get DV on line at reduced prices, not so with Puffit. In all honesty I should also say I don't favor Puffit in normal channels as it 'rewards' the importer (no matter who you buy from) for their (IMO grossly unethical practice) giving the initial units to their employees (rather than customers who'd paid) so they could play us for fools by pretending to be independent customers happy with the product. Shameful and shameless at the same time. I waited until I could pay more money and wait even longer to get it directly from Hong Kong. I'm tying to separate my opinion of the unit from that BS, and hope I have, but you should know I'm not big on giving the distributor here any rewards, slight as they might be.

Puffit is a fun thing, but IMO DV is a better tool.

Yeah I'll have to agree with everyone else. Everything I've read on the Puffit tells me DV is the way to go. If you want something like the Puffit look into the Pax. I've read some really good things about it. Although, it is pretty new so retail price hasn't dropped quite yet, maybe in a couple of months it will. I doubt the DV will let you down, though. Solidly built, easy to use and great customer support. Great vape for a first timer!

I will find out today. If the DV is not in I might have totake the Puffit as I need a vape.

My friend, please take at least 1 piece of advice from us - don't just settle for a vape, its worth waiting if they don't have the DV, I've made that choice in the past when I wanted to get something and didn't want to wait for inventory and I was wrong...or should I say; vape-or-smoke, the oxygen mini, or the hot boxes amongst many others that I will never use again. Trust me, take your time.

Edit: this is a comparison I was asked to do between the INH and the DV
@vorrange, you asked for it you got it. I will just go over the major points.
Portability tie
weight tie
ease of use INH by a long shot
Battery life I never had an issue with either
Design for loading and unloading INH by a lot...hate the lid on the DV
Draw edge goes to DV although they are both really good...DV has to have a clean top screen
Medical application I give the edge to the DV...I suppose cause of the digital temp I get my meds a ............bit better
Loading and unloading INH hands down
Holding the unit INH DV gets real hot on one side
Stealth kind of a toss up but I give the edge to INH
Edit: forgot one...efficiency of using your herb...DV cause of meds for me but INH for full .......extraction. I can easily run my DV ABV in the INH and get way more.

If I missed anything let me know. Of course this is all my humble opinion.

Edit I just noticed that I wrote loading and unloading twice but am leaving it cause we all know it is a pain.

I am still waiting for the DV.
I did try the Puffit. I believe if I took that unit I would have made a big mistake. It did not seem to hold a charge long.
I am now looking forward to Monday.
Has any one tried the Inhalator? If so, how does it compare with the DV?
Thanks in advanced.

Wow I don't know what site you ordered from cause I think the one you said a few posts ago I personally have not heard of. I lose track of time but isn't it a week already Pfb1500? Most of the vape sites get stuff out really fast. I ordered a solo last night and already have a tracking number.

In either respect enjoy your DV and if you have questions ask.

Although I haven't tried the Inhalator, I can tell you that there are many many positive responses on this vape from the people on this forum. They swear by it (I guess as I swear by my DV haha.) If ever I do see fit to mix it up with another portable vape it will be an Inhalator, I think.
One thing Dreamer didn't mention in his comparison was taste. I am inclined to believe that Inhalator takes the cake here as well. He also graciously claimed stealth is a toss up with an edge going to Inhalator... The thing looks like an E-cig, like the persei except a 510-looking model instead of 808. As a user of a E-cig, I can tell you how little people actually question what your doing toking away on a big metallic rod. Even one such as a 1000 Mah ego Twist with a Vivi Nova Tank.. Looks like some seriously shit, haha. A few personal thoughts, however. DV is purely convection based (or close enough) and in my mind convection>conduction. It can be used with concentrates which gives it a big edge, imo. Discrete storage compartment is a bonus. As OF said in the last page DV you can set whatever temp you like up to 430F. I don't have much experience at all in the vaper world. However, my belief is a DV and Inhalator would match most any portable vaperists varying needs. Two very different portables with two very different ideas of portable perfection.

I am by no means an expert so did the best I could. I think as far as stealth it depends on who you are. The DV looks like a walkie talkie and like you said the INH looks like a big rod bigger then the T1. To me it looks funnier but still a toss up. As far as taste yes hands down to the INH although after using the DV for so long the taste has improved tremendously. I had given the edge to the DV cause to me in my unknowable opinion the DV is more convection but the INH is not far behind so also a toss up. I am new to vaping so this is really guessing as I am learning. I don't use oils at least yet so I didn't even remember about the cans when I was doing the comparison, my mistake. If I could edit I would fix the issues you brought up. That was my first comparison review.

I don't understand why you posted this here since the post you are referring to is in the DV thread. I suppose I should have put it in both oh well.
