Personally I like a HT that offers as little diffusion as possible as to keep as much flavour as possible, not lose as many actives, yet still provide cooling/moisturizing. What would this be? just a plain HT that allows vapour to pass through water, that's it...as little turbulence as possible. Good idea no?

You can also make yourself a vapor lung and enjoy cooler vapor with no taste loss and a no drag at all hit. Full GonG too...

Any updates on international release??

...so 220V model physically exists already? Great news. Well, 110V Cloud betas were out years before releasing hounds, but I trust you and hope it will be here soon. I really hope, my EQ's source is dying. If I spend money on new source, I'll not have enough for the Cloud then.

Thanks Oldie/Ili but neither of those options appeals to me. All I want is a HT similar to what already exists with the vapour going through the same amount of water, but with the least amount of diffusion/turbulence possible. But a showerdome will do :)

My post was just an (apparently weak) attempt at humor. ;)

Well when you buy your cloud just buy the hydrocirc and I'll trade you my SGW showerdown for it? Because when I ordered I actually ordered the first hydocirc but when the unit came it was sent with the SGW because they said they were out of stock and that one shouldn't have allowed me to add it to my cart due to a glitch.

Why trade showerdome for hydracirc? Aren't they essentially the same diffusion, just different thickness/quality of glass? Aren't they both circs? Maybe i'm confused because i'm not a glass dude, but I thought there were trees and domes/circs. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Guys, there is so much nicer glass out there than the supplied VXC chubbler. Now I've never used the HT myself, but that is because I have twenty-something bongs to choose from.

Also, forget about the 45 degree adapter too. The VXC is best used hands free with a stemless 90* joint. IMO, it'd be a drag to have to constantly be holding the Cloud while you hit. It's always been hard for me to focus after enjoying two or three ELBs!

20something bongs? lol Wow! If you've never used the HT, please do try it as I would love your opinion especially compared to your other glass. I read some posts from Cloudies on here that swear by the HT and don't require anything else.

I agree with your last statement, if I do buy some high end glass it would have to be stemless with a dewaar joint so I could just invert the cloud and rest it straight up and down. This wouldn't stress the joint as much as an angle and like you say you don't need to hold it then.

Really REEEEEEEALLY curious to see what HT's they are releasing shortly.

JJ, I remember seeing some of your collection on GlassDistrict back in the day, you have some great glass man. I agree with your statement about the HTs but not so much about the 45 degree adapter. If I don't use the adapter with my SG then the Cloud is all up in my face, but I do like the hands-free benefit. I also don't like the feeling of resting the Cloud on the joint even though I know it's safe (just something about letting a ~$325 vape rest on a $330 tube bothers me). I actually like holding the Cloud at an angle while taking a hit because I can watch the tube fill up :D.

Yes basically the same. But I just liked the look of the hydrocirc better lol. Plus it looked to be a bit bigger and I like more surface area.

Ya that's why I think i'm going with the evolver hydracirc, sorry :) However i'm sure you'll pickup a HT now that they will be selling separately.

The Cloud in my face is one reason to stick with the HT's I think, or a pro for 45degree adapater as mentioned.

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning the Cloud unit itself (not the hydratube or the elbs)? Does it need cleaning? I'm just doing weekly maintenance on my vapes.

Edit: I cleaned the Male Joint with ISO and a Q-Tip. I also cleaning the bottom with iso and a q-tip. But i didn't go in the tube, and i was careful to make sure it wasn't dripping into the tube. It still looks a bit yellow inside under the ground glass connection but i'm not worried. Then I sprayed threw with compressed air just to be safe. Now i'm gonna let it dry for like 30 minutes to an hour or so. BTW, machine was completely unplugged.

Edit Edit: Got my ePik's from EpicVape today! Woohoo! :-)

The glass tube is the only component accessible, and at that only the joint and the air intake section at the bottom of the unit. The middle section where the heating magic happens is between the two orifices, can't (and probably shouldn't) be touched. You're already cleaning the joint, where resin can build up under the lip. It seems that the lower tube section can eventually accumulate a little very fine dust; on my unit it was months before I saw it and only then when using a dry q-tip to dust the tube.

Cool thanks. You know, it's weird. Sometimes I think my Cloud doesn't get as hot as it previously did. But it could be the strain, and whether or not it's drier than the previous batch I put in there, etc. Many factors.

It's just me being paranoid. I love this thing. LOL

I always hold on to mine, even if it is directly upside down. I figured it is better to be safe then sorry. I can't seem to let it rest on the glass without having a hand on it.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. Most glass these days have reinforcements and extra welds and whatnot, right in the places they're supposed to be.

Old habits die hard... Also a little superstitious about those kinds of things. Not exactly rational, but works for me. ;)

Just over a week in, and my Cloud works like a charm. In fact, it works too well at times, like just now :freak:. I love the Evolver Hydracirc--it's solid and compact. Just the stealth I need. I've not used my Cloud with my other glass pieces yet because the Hydracirc is so much fun. I've found a rhythm with it, and I'm really REALLY liking my Cloudification.

Damn, how did you get your hands on a cloud without the tube? They won't let me get one no matter what! haha

He didn't. He has the HydraTube, just chooses not to use it LOL.

I can't wait to see what the new HydraTubes are gonna be this week

The only tube I use without an adapter (and it's because I dont have the right adapter yet :ninja: ) is the Mobius 65t. It has a heavily weighted bottom:science: and a 90 degree stem with just the perfect amount of space to hold the cloud in the joint and have the cloud stand by itself upside down. Even though it is completely stable, I have trained myself to always help to hold the cloud even in this case. This helps take some of the extra weight off which could cause stress on the joint. It's not very likely it will tip over from the weight (it almost feels like this is a tube that was made with the cloud in mind) but I would hate to have an accident. :suspicious: As Pappy said in his videos: :myday: The adapter PROTECTS the tube's joint (and probably the cloud's as well) because it can be inserted and removed at the proper angle so that you avoid stressing the joint. This happens when you are pressing it up against the mouth piece or tube when the stem is too close to fit and seal properly. :uhoh: Also, with an angle adapter you are able to switch the direction that the cloud is inserted into as well. This is especially helpful when you are passing the tube to others in different spots in the room and the cloud is plugged in in a central location :ninja:

Have a cloudy Sunday friends!! :peace:
PS- Just scored the right adapter! :brow:

If you try it with any other glass, try lowering your water level by just 10%. I've found that is the sweet spot when using the Cloud with other glass tubes. Also, single chamber designs work slightly better than two imo.

I agree with you about the HT's stealth. For travel, I think it'd be perfect.

OK, finished tie dying the VXL shirt ... it's pretty cool, in hind sight, I probably should have done the fire/yellow side on the front where the logo is, so it would stand out better, but it is what it is...
