@Padriano, is the OD of the glass inserts smaller than 8mm (i.e. will they fit into the ID
Of a typical VapCap stem (8mm).

They must be dedicated inserts for the Tubo.

In that case, what is the ID of the glass inserts.

—Or can one just buy dedicated glass inserts for the VapCap in this day and age of wonders? :)
The od of the glass insert and VC tip are almost identical.. 8mm and the insert a touch wider (that helps with part of the design to hold the glass in place securely).
So the tip won't fit directly into the glass inserts... which imo is a good thing cos it's less likely to break, and doesn't affect the vapor path cos of some good butting up :hmm: ID on the inserts is 6mm (ish)

Outstanding collection! You've got some beautiful stems in there.

SHOUT OUT TO THE GREAT FOLKS AT DYNAVAP!
The dynacoil and silicone container I had ordered arrived in a suspiciously large parcel today. It included a note saying “thanks for watching dynavap live”, and some fun shwag —a keychain, diamond Capman sticker, and green logo hat. And a KarmaVap! Made my day, y’all rock!

Try something new today...
I sandblast the fin section of a Titanium Tip, and after I anodized it using the 9volts batteries technique. It turn out pretty cool I think, sandblast gives a matte look to the tips, but it sparkles and changes color with the light.

It take only three 9 Volts batteries for this color, and it match perfectly with the Omni!!

Nice work man! How on earth did you only anodize the central portion? Or did you remove some anodization after?

I'd love to mess with more tips, but two of my 3 aren't available anymore, so I'd rather leave them alone.. Still loving my gunmetal tip and worn black cap combo.

I wholeheartedly agree! I have a large stem collection and I care for my wood carefully. always have. Some of my artisan stems are over three years old. I live in a climate controlled home and wax my pieces every month with either @Phattippgies wood conditioner or @Ed's TnT Bomb Ass Butter. I do use Dynawax too sometimes but it's formulation is not quite as emollient.

Conditioning your wood, whether it's a table or a stem only makes them look better and better and over time the wood takes on a patina achieved in no other way.

wow what a varied collection! How long does it take you to decide which one you are going to use each day?

there is one in the 2nd pic that is similar to sonething Ive been thinking about. Its has a yellowish acrylic(?) on each end with exposed condenser in between. Do you find it comfortable to use? If you could modify it...what would you do?

Thanks a lot mrb, a compliment by you means a lot to me, I really love your work!!
For the tip, I start by completely anodizing it at 45 volts to get a silver color close to the original color, after that, I tape everything except the fin section and sandblast it... after, I anodized the tip again at 27 Volts, so only the sandblast portion get affected!
I just order a Aristocrat Stem from Great White North Vape (sneakypete for usa) they are at 35% off right now!! I chose the blue one to go with that tip!

Yeah, but you dip in solution for the anodizing no? How d'you only dip the central section and not either end?

the part of the tip anodized at 45 Volts won’t be affected by a lower voltage anodization, but only by higher voltage... but the sandblast part return to bare Titanium so react to lower voltage... so yes you can dip the entire tip in the solution...
i hope i’m Understandable, English is not my main language... could explain it better in French LOL

You're doing GREAT with the English, and thanks for teaching me something new about Anodizing. Again, excellent work on that tip!

Happy Vaping!

@ElPic let us know how you like the Aristocrat stem and how thick the glass feels. I got that sale email and was eyeballing that blue one hard but am wondering how thick the glass is. I have gotten away with murder so far with the TRWW glass stem. I dropped it several times. A few of those drops were from a few feet high, one landed on tile and one on wood floor.

Wow!! All the Dynaporn has my head swimming. Blue tips, inserting glass tubes, what can only be described as an orgy of VapCaptickness in @Squiby's photos. I need to sit down.

@ElPic thanks for your further description of your technique. Very ingenious.

I got 14 batteries and fooled around with a bunch of Ti tools I had. I learned a lot. One thing I learned at the end, in the middle of doing my Omni Body and MP, batteries from the dollar store wear out quickly :\ which is why I have a baby blue Omni.

@Squiby, amazing collection!!! Wow! Would love to hear/see more about it.

So I'm curious about other peoples favorites? For me it was instantaneous and I just naturally locked eyes with what I believe is a @stardustsailor stem with knurling that just makes me weak in the knees. It must be the dab tool guy in me. All the stems are beautiful, but that one? That one just gets me.

Totally agreed! I'd love to hear the stories behind some of those stems!

For example @Squiby ...
DYING to know where/how you came about THIS one.
That's an absolutely GORGEOUS stem!

Haha, I'm an idiot, you already explained that, and I've literally used the same concept many times. Somehow i still missed/didn't registered that detail in your original explanation.

Cheers man, and nice work

Big thank you to @PuffItUp and everyone who bought one of my stems from them.
Once the word got out they sold quickly and I woke up to a message from Randy asking for one or two more.

It's great being part of the VC community and I'm overwhelmed by the support you've all shown me.
Let me know what you'd like to see at PIU and we will get it sorted.
