@Davinci_vaporizer Thank you for your response but you did not clarify whether I will get brokerage/customs charges if I buy directly from you. This adds a ton to the cost as you know. Can you please answer that question.

I had an old business partner that owed me a lot of money for a long time. He would always tell me the money is coming 'at the end of the month'. When the end of the month came, he would say 'end of next month'.

This went on for 2 years. He had no idea how or when he was going to get my money. Your response on the timeline coupled with the lack of detail tells me that you really dont know when you will ship into canada. Ive been to this dance before. This is very disconcerting. If you could actually help me get your product this week without paying an extra $60 on customs/brokerage, I would appreciate it. I hope you will. Thanks for your time.

If you buy from US to any different country you are going to pay customs. No way around that. Only way is to buy from somebody that is not based in the US.

This is my experience with the IQ.. kinda long, sorry!
I bought the Blue IQ at my local authorised Davinci re-seller December 26th. It ran fantastic, I had carefully and successfully adjusted the pearl depth depending on oven contents. I was a little worried about it tearing at first, but applying some pressure, going slow and smooth seemed to work just fine. Today I was completely removing all of the zirconia pieces for a nice overnight soak. While applying pressure and unscrewing the same way I had successfully done a few times before, it tore clean off. It hung on by a hair at first, but the weight of the pearl pulled it off. Since the screw is rubber, it will kind of twist a little before catching the grooves and unscrewing. Only this time instead of unscrewing like usual it tore. I had already registered my IQ before I used it, and have contacted customer service. Just waiting to see where I go from here.

I didnt try, but it seems like the rubber base from the screw may just pull out, and fairly easy to push a new one in. If there is a replacement piece for that, I would just have to figure out how to remove the rubber screw piece stuck in the zirconia pearl..

I'm so disappointed because I LOVE the thing. Yeah, the app crashes sometimes, and doesn't save smart paths sometimes at first. But with a little patience and persistence I was able to reprogram and rename my smart paths, and haven't had a problem with it since.

It does get warm, not warmer than I would have thought though. I usually keep my sessions fairly short, but quite often, so it has plenty of cool down time. I haven't had any problems with my flavor chamber getting stuck, but I keep up on making sure I clean it out very thoroughly every time I reload the oven, so I do not get much buildup between it, and the spacer. The rubber sleeves for the mouthpieces slip off fairly easily, but as long as I make sure it is snug on the mouthpiece before putting the mouthpiece in it's slot, it goes in no problem.

I'm torn between just using it and setting the pearl in the hole, or keeping it clean and waiting to hear back. My herbs have been lasting twice as long with this little vape. I don't know why, but it seems like I was wasting quite a bit before I got it.

Yeeaahh... I removed the pearl once when I first got my IQ, and I quickly realized it was gonna be a bitch to deal with, and decided never to mess with it again. Just leave it screwed in all the way and never have to worry about it. The adjustability of the pearl is kind of pointless because it doesn't even make much of a difference.

A Happy New Year, All!

Does any one have Issues with a finicky turn-on, with the 5-click iQ.
Clean terminals, fully charged battery.

Suggestions, thoughts, would be greatly appreciated. Help.

It's a software issue that they can fix later on with a firmware update. It needs to have the window lengthened for when it accepts the five pushes. I just keep pushing mine repeatedly until it turns on or off.

I love the IQ, but I do not use it often. I just await an easy spacer option. On long weekends I can finish a compact packing, but most week nights I need something to let me pack a smaller bowl.
I've been using Pyrex flowers in and on top of my loads. The flowers act as a heat sink for longer and intense vapor pulls. They also serve as a screen when place on bottom of load and spacer when used on top. I save my stash with the IQ this way, it's very efficient vaping with the glass flowers.

Divinci IQ (making my primary this week)packing Tangerine in the chamber. I got got it hooked up to the rig.Browsing the interwebs drinking a Dirty Little Freak By duClaw.I want to get that Nectar collector combo but I was waiting on the 20 $ credit for taking that survey a while back. Side note I am on the side that says the IQ does run somewhat hot. Not scolding burn your hand hot, but hot enough for you to be like damn this shit feels kinddda hot.

I think I am gonna wait for "replacement pearls" to become available. I recognize DaVinci is still working to get demands for full units satisfied. They will get caught up soon with production demands and pearls will be available.

Still loving the IQ, when I get some pearls to lighten the load, I will be happy camper.

And as far as using glass stars (screens) I used them with the Ascent, but found them a pain.

Give me pearls!

In my opinion turning on and off should be changed to 1 long press because:

  • boost - CHANGE IT TO: 1 click + hold
    • You don't use boost as often as turning the vape on and off (5+5 clicks is kinda too much) boost can be changed to 1 click + hold
    • less wear and tear for the buttons <3

What is the name of the glass rig? The Vape Critic has one but i can't find it :/

Agreed.

For people with *PHAT* fingers, the small recessed button can be a bit of a challenge....

One thing I notice, neither good nor bad, is that the IQ vapor runs on the cooler side. Compared to say the grasshopper, Crafty and pax 2. I'm pushing it at 430 degrees f and the vapor is surprisingly cool. What does this mean to me? It means that the flavor doesn't degrade as quickly over time as the the other vapes I mentioned. No harsh vapor with that nasty burnt popcorn flavor towards the end. If you really prefer smooth, cool vapor you will really enjoy this vaporizer.

If I had to make a general comparison I think this device is a pax2/Crafty hybrid in terms of flavor/ease of use/etc.

That's definitely a good thing! Does anyone like hot vapor?
