I was shocked when I realised that the 12 position was only about 180 °C....

After coming from my eq, running temps of upto 230°C, I couldn't believe the clouds produced from supposedly only 180....

I guess that's what makes this machine a tasty treat...

I am fairly certain that 12 o clock on my unit is over 200°C. Vaping at 10:30 on the dial gives a similar flavor and feel to the Mighty at 175°C, although obviously more vapor. With my medium draw speed (just above whistle), I would say 12 o clock on my unit is around 210°C. This is just me guessing, based on my experience of using most vapes in the market over the last 15 years.

I'm actually thinking that it's the other vapes which run cooler than they say when you draw, and the Evo is actually consistent with temps, I also find the Aromed to be similar in this regard.

The 20% holiday discount and the seconds Hydratube (fingers crossed it's not a dud) helped ease the sticker shock, but damn, it's a chunk of change.

One of the things I like best about the EVO is that it doesn't need a whip. This needs to be replaced and will affect flavor very quickly. It's cool as an option but it the all-glass pathway with a Hydratube or an inverted EVO is optimal IMO.

I'm with Kim on this one. Personal tastes, but whips do get gunked up and nasty rather quickly IMO.

Others, of course, seem to love them.

I got a seconds straight glass stem from them...thought it would be an ok risk as I don't often use the stem (I favor the HT) and its not very expensive.

So far, I can't find what made it a second so hopefully you will feel the same about your HT.

Seconds will be just fine. It'll have a tiny dimple, or maybe a tiny visible bubble somewhere, but I bought a dry mouthpiece as well as a turbine seconds, both were immaculate save for tiny, tiny dimples.

I use a glass stem. for everything. IMO why have a glass air path a put it through a whip made of plastic or silicon. but then again I never claimed to be civilized

How about sourcing or MacGyvering some form of GonG 'bridge' attachment to link the Evo to your glassware?

I put together a crazy attachment to create an all glass vapor pathway between my bubbler & my trusty old EQ several years back - it was a little clunky but it totally gave a fresher, cleaner taste, as well as a smoother open draw when compared to my whips, imo . . . . and I'd guess there must be something a little more fit for purpose straight off the shelf around these days.

Anyway, it's high time for another ELB . . .

You're in a very similar boat that I was in , I didn't originally get the evo because it was brand new when I was purchasing my first high end vape and so I didn't want to risk it being something where the customer service was poor if the machine malfunctioned, so I went with the Aromed, eventually I tried a volcano 2 years later, and loved it so I bought one. But I realized that the volcano was giving me the same problem that I had with my EQ (even through water mind you... which is odd but..) the problem is that after a long session, my throat gets irritated.

To avoid the irritation I think that any vape that has a auto-fan (like the EQ and many other vapes actually, this would also mean any balloon style vape) has to be omitted. So the aromed was a great choice they state that they don't use a fan in it and I never notice that dry scratch in my throat with the Aromed.

The Aromed takes a while to get me medicated, personally. The volcano is quicker. So therein lied a problem. I wanted something with the vapor output of the volcano, the vapor quality of the aromed.

The Cloud Evo is exactly this!

the best thing is the efficiency. makes my medicine last longer and taste better. just remember airflow is key in this type of vape

Can anyone explain why that when I load an ELB 3/4 full, I end up with dark brown ABV, but when I only load 1/4, I get light brown ABV?

Slower airflow means longer hot air contact with material.

Ataxian, how much do you use your evo each day? are you running it all day for hours? I'm curious

I know someone has their evo here running on all day, and it turns off for one minute every hour, so I wonder how long his evo will last like that! I hope this thing lasts forever!
