Every bag I use, I pull to it's length as I near the last hit, and never let the bag just crinkle up... I pull and suck the last vapor then the bag is in flattened form. I am sure that helps...

I do that too, it even annoys me a little inside if friends hand me back a wonky bag with some vapor left inside!:)
Maybe the holes were from storing them badly, mistakenly overfilling bags, or that I always had my favorite DIY found vape tool lying around,
a "slightly stretched" pin on curtain hook like this!:
$_35.JPG

Also I fold the bag at the end of session but now put it in a pouch.
Perhaps the constant folding doesn't help but it should tolerate that alone,
it could be semi related to those jagged steel rings they use to seal the original EV bags. I use dental floss to tie my replacements.
Those bags you had looked amazing alright, makes one think how much beautiful sticky goo some folk throw away over time!

The last 2 month bag I reclaimed, I mopped the insides with cotton balls atop a low set halogen hotplate.
It was a time where there was nothing to be got in my area, but I got a full three nights weekend sessions from the cotton and boy it was so Strong!!!
I laughed so hard when I remembered you had consumed something like a quarter to a third of your 1 year bag's reclaim in just one session,
I think I went back for a look at the pictures of those toothpicks or the picture of you with stars in your eyes haha!
Thanks again for all the hot Volcano tips

I lay my spent bag on top of a shelf, flat...
to wait for it's next duty.
I'll have to work out something like that here. Also maybe some kind of quiver, or small umbrella stand would work too! poster tube too...

Do you happen to know if something suits roughly filtered Volcano reclaim better, when it comes to selecting quartz rod, or ceramic rod or donut for novel ways to use it, or will it just work good on any format? Maybe its more about finding the easier type to clean after it?

I use the VB2 for the Volcano shatter (reclaim)
I would use a nail, or quartz nail rather that a pen type coil, as there are residues left behind.
I also roll it in cotton and vape it in the Solo or SSV.
LSV works same as SSV or DBV with cotton
Also you can use the concentrate pad and vape it in the volcano.
You can clean the mesh pad by soaking it in Iso.
Oh...
and here is the VB2 vaping volcano reclaim

Thanks for that, those videos are great! That VB2 machine looks amazing I'll have to look into it, I've never heard of it.
Lucky I had your advice now as I'm after spending about a month of late nights barking up the wrong trees, kept thinking why don't I ask someone on here!!
I'm no stranger to cotton in the 'cano, it even works for solids! (contrary to all those rumors) but I do have to try the pad next, or I also wanted to try some on a pad in a dosing capsule through the Mighty.
When I tried Solo wand goo, in the Solo, I was a bit underwhelmed and confused but Volcano goo in a Solo could work better!
The easiest and often preferred method for me is to mop everything with cotton and run it in the Volcano on full heat. It's good!
I was only playing around with more fun or potentially discreet things to do with it.
I'll be spending another month of late nights learning about nails and VB2s now, but at least it will all mean less mumbo jumbo as I read around this site!

That's cool, I love to imagine getting paid to design, invent or test vapes or carry out quality checks on mj or vape items!! Thanks I'll make a cup of tea now, keep the Volcano roaring, and have a look at that thread.
Volcano defo gives plenty reclaim, see the big puddle in your video!
With all these people moaning about the percentage of absorption/ losses in bags, don't they realize you can get it all back?!

I'm glad I bought my Volcano, a great heating/warming/evaporating tool.
It's great for light top-up style use over longer periods too, where my portables are all very wham, bam, thank you ma'am!

Thanks turk for the discovery!

Just wanted to point out (as has been pointed out in another thread) that these appear to be standard rebranded pill containers.

I checked 3 standard pill containers I had lying arround at home and they all perfectly store 2-3 dosing capsules.

Although if you dont already have one, then you're probably better off getting the s&b one as you know it will definitely store 4.

Yes these are great for the Volcano!
In 2011 I bought a couple hundred of these from Buyincoins for 87¢ each (free shipping
Waterproof of course, and light eliminating.
max mentioned a couple weeks back about a container for herb, but I can not remember the thread it was in.. so I give max KUDOS here under herb grinders...
Since this pill carrier is for carrieng finely ground herb.
max.... I love this thing! It holds 4 good sized trenches of finely ground herb for MFLB. Doses for other vapes vary... but you get the idea! Airtight, and GREAT! I paid 87 each free shipping, and I just ordered more for "the gang"!

Herb Storage Container (pill carrier)

I still have a number of these laying around, and I give one to every patient that enters our home, or that I visit.

My Volcano now takes over 5 minutes to fill a bag :(
Poor old dog.

Wow that's really long!
I have mine since a decade (with the old pump) and the filling speed is almost the same as before...
If you want, I can count how much time it takes to fill a bag ;)

Although, S&B can replace your pump with the recent ones, which are much better than ours :)

Yeah, it's too long. Completely zaps the flavor and amount of fills possible. This one is probably at least a decade old. And just as bad, one of the ends of the solid valve that clicks into the filling chamber broke off, so you have to hold the bag the entire duration of the fill as it won't lock into place now. It sucks because this solid valve is actually only a few months old from S&B, the last one lasted more years than I could even say as I'm not the original owner. I haven't contacted them about it, perhaps I should, I'm not sure if they offer any type of warranty on their replacement parts? Thanks all.

I think, if your solid valve is three months old, they may be replacing it under some warranty. I would definitely ask. :)

The German consumer service was always golden with me, ask them kindly and they should take care of you :)

Edit: Although, you could try to open it and check if all the silicone tubes are properly in place (I don't know if a collapsed tube can lead to this symptoms but it's safe to check that :p)

Thanks! I'll roll the dice and see what they say, either way I guess the housing isn't a huge deal, only $17. Will be interesting to see how much the pump is!

Please let us know how much they charge you for the pump! ;)
They are several old pump out there!

Although, the new volcano's pump is the same as the herbalair one, and can fit on old unit (with modification, and without on newer units). It can be a way to go for someone who don't want to send it for repair :)

Excellent information! I've been away from this site for a few years and it's still as much a treasure trove of knowledge as before! I will post any information I receive.

Hey guys, opened up my easy valve today and it is caked with brown sticky "resin". Was wondering what I should do with it, as somebody told me it's like concentrated hash. Anybody know the best way to get it out of the easy valve and smoke it? Thanks, pics included.

That looks tasty , you can scrape it with a pick or small flat head screwdriver and gather it and sandwich it between some herb or i believe put it in some organic cotton. It looks kind of dry but you can also try the liquid pad with it if its sticky and a bit wet. There are other ways to reclaim it like soaking it in 100% iso alcohol i believe or everclear and letting that evaporate completely and whats left you can vape, I think @Vitolo has this down pat though , i am sure he will chime in shortly.
